I was able to get almost immediate responses to any questions I had while managing our event. We've hosted two tournaments using GolfStatus and will be working on our third coming soon. Pros This software is easy to navigate and great to use for a novice. I was able to successfully manage all aspects of our fundraising tournament from planning to registrations to closing out at the end. Cons Some functions are hard to find, like publishing items. It is easy to use and learn. If we have a question they are always quick to answer and help. Pros What we liked most about this software was the ease of sponsors and teams signing up online. Both were great selling points Cons Registration but that was because it was our first time using. Team and hole sponsorship assignments are extremely easy. Scoring is all handled through the app. Tournament flighting along with cart signs can be handled by course managers. GolfStatus has eliminated a ton of work off of my plate as a tournament organizer? Cons Not much at all! Once you get things set up the way you want them it is all pretty seamless! March 1, 2022 5.0 We will definitely be using GolfStatus for our tournament next year. Overall the site, app and support has made the tournament planning process so much more efficient! Being a nonprofit with a limited staff, this platform was a lifesaver and allowed us to put on such a successful event in a very short window. I can't recommend this product and team enough to nonprofits that are currently putting on golf tournaments to raise money! Pros Loved that it handled all registrations, sponsorships and event scoring in one central location. Incredibly user friendly, but if you have any confusion, their customer support staff is ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLY. They responded to my requests on Friday nights and even helped me fix a scoring issue THE NIGHT BEFORE THE EVENT. They worked non-stop to make sure I had what I needed for my event to be successful! My golfers loved the mobile scoring software and being able to track other teams' scores in real time. Heard only incredibly positive feedback from all of the attendees using GolfStatus. Cons They allow you to sell add-ons like mulligans, improved tee shots, etc. for additional revenue, but their registration downloads don't include those, so we had to manually add them to our registration print offs. Customer service reps were very helpful and sent detailed instructions on how to navigate the system and set up meetings to help with my overall understanding. Pros It was easy to navigate and use once I understood it. Customer service reps were great. Loved the perks that came with the flag/technology/hole in one options. All one stop shop. Loved the live leaderboard! Cons It was difficult assigning teams. You had to reenter names/emails manually which was very time consuming. Pros Using this system saved a great deal of time on our end for items staff usually would need to do. Site is relatively easy to use and Customer Support is wonderful!The ability to be able to do a chat with Customer Support folks at any time was invaluable. The Support folks do a terrific job!!I used the Beta 2.0 Version this year and saw that some of the assigning of individual golfers items had been improved.Great improvement on the ability to add Sponsorship logos and resizing. From original setup of the event, to managing the golf registrations, payments, hole selections, and other features, it was a seamless process. Additionally, as we got closer to the event we were able to assign holes to various sponsors with ease, print everything we needed for the event - from scorecards, cart assignments, and other reports that could be used for the check-in process. Our team wanted to host a golf tournament fundraiser and didn't know where to start. The team at GolfStatus walked us through the process and helped us setup the online tournament page. Then, they provided support during the registration process. We have used this platform for the past two years and would highly recommend it! Cons Many of our golfers are old school and wanted to submit payment via check. June 15, 2021 5.0 Overall I really appreciated that GolfStatus was available. The non profit option was very helpful for my school and the online registration process made tracking payments easy. The Golf Status team seemed willing and eager to help with any questions I had. -The non profit option was incredibly beneficial to my school. Cons \-It took a little getting used to navigating the software. -The alerts I received when new registrants signed up did not include the name and email of the registrant. I appreciated the email alerts but would have liked to see a name and contact information. I think its a great platform to keep all your event information in one place. Using golf status to help in processing credit card payment and organizing cart signs and score cards made the day a lot smoother for everyone involved. Online scoring brought on a lot of fun talking between groups as the day went on. Pros The ease in registering teams and individuals, as well as being able to offer "touchless" payment for extras and add on's like Mulligans. Loved the way that the software flighted everything for us and listed out the winners and places for each. Cons Was a little confusing in having the scoring update at the end of everyone's round. Fortunately, the club this year was more engaged with the technology and had results scrolling on an outside screen this year. We had a good experience with \[sensitive content hidden\] and he was always helpful uploading to your site things like sponsor logos, though most of the experience was self-service. Pros As I have said before, this system truly is as easy and convenient as they say it is. Our golf tournament ran smoothly and the software has many conveniences that make this happen. Cons There are a few scoring features that could be improved for tournament play (there is a calculation that we still have to rely upon the golf course to do). Having the site up in running 90 days in advance was a huge help and it was all a team effort. The software was very easy to use. Having the walk through with the staff and having representatives available were a huge part of the process that made understanding Golf Status easier. Pros The Pro's of using Golf Status was having all the event information, process of payments/donations, and live scoring a total breeze. Printing up scorecards was easy, along with putting individuals into teams, and adjusting hole sponsor designations. The system really broke everything down. The customer service was great and timely. Best of all, it was free for my non-profit foundation! Technical support has been really great - responsiveness, accuracy, etc. We intend to use GolfStatus again in 2023. Pros The best feature of the software is that we can upload sponsor logos on the site to use for promotional purposes. But better than that is the technical support received which isn't really about the software but very much worth mentioning. It feels like your GolfStatus support person is part of your team. Cons What I like least is that unique player names are not required for registration. Sometimes we end up with teams that have the same name listed for 4 players right before our event and need to scramble to get players names/emails. Review Source RP Randall P. Accepting donations and sponsorships is a great feature. Also, the messaging system for short notice communication worked great. Cons Using the GolfStatus mobile app for isn’t a useful feature for our unique player group. At least half are handicapped and it’s difficult to educate the players on using the app for mobile scoring. Without 100% accuracy, the apps on course scoring feature is not useful. Cons On the tournament management side, some pieces still needed improvement to manage our 3 amateurs to 1 pro format (seemed still more suited to captain's choice format), though the GolfStatus team was available to assist the day-of to ensure success.
