It handles numerous stages such as creating client account , matching the iLOK database, charging the purchase amount and delivering the licence and authorisation accordingly to the purchased software. A decent database of all these operations can be accessed and categorised to communicate with the clients further and handle issues quicly when needed. Scaled Commerce offers all the tools what we need from a web shop and furthermore continues to give a team effort and sustaning support. Pros Scaled Commerce service adds valuable support and boost to our business as it totally covers all the shop operations with an synchronized licence and authorisation system applied to the purchased software. Furthermore the human support when needed is cruicial to fix the glitches and therefore handle a dense client traffic. This has established itself as trust business solution, a team effort to run thing smoothly and update in time when needed. Cons Glitches happen especially during the start up phase, but updates are offered accordingly on real life experience basis. Pros Scaled Commerce's Rent-to-own solution for our Pace protected software performs flawlessly, has a very comprehensive feature set, and was incredibly quick and easy to deploy. Support from the company is always fast and effective. We've been very pleased with the entire experience! Cons The backend is quite involved, but Scaled Commerce offers white-glove service, and has always been very responsive. Reasons for choosing Scaled Commerce After working with the Scaled Commerce solution, we realized that creating the infrastructure ourselves would have been significantly more involved that we realized. Having to track customers through spreadsheets just wasn't appealing. We had even considered hiring someone to specifically handle this. If we were going to work with a partner to automate our subscriptions, they needed to have seamless backend iLok integration and tools that allowed for automating license deposits, payments, communications to enduser and renewals. Scaled Commerce fit the bill on all these aspects. Additionally, they provided a consultative approach to SaaS newbies like us and made the administration, deployment and ongoing operations extremely easy. I recommend using them if you're thinking about making the leap to SaaS. Pros Scaled Commerce is infinitely flexible and sophisticated. It has advanced recurring billing options that has let us have a hands off approach for monthly and yearly subscription renewals. SC has helped us create a white labeled, fully customized licensing/ecommerce platform, not only for our direct sales, but also for our reseller partners who now have their own portal for tracking, selling and purchasing our software products. We can devote our resources to making our products better instead of trying to hodgepodge a subscription service that doesn't have any of the sophistication that SC does. Cons We had a complex pricing scenario that SC's flexibility accommodated. With the increased flexibility, there was an added layer of complexity since almost any pricing/term scenario could be accommodated. With that said, it was a breeze setting things up because SC has high touch customer service. If there was an issue, whether with a specific transaction or a last minute e-commerce promo, they were available to solve issues or guide us through the steps asap.
