Since December 2024, I have been reaching out to Playable’s customer service team every single month, asking them to close the account, remove our billing info, and stop the charges. And every month, I receive the same reply: "Your account is now closed. You will not be billed again." Then the next month, another invoice arrives. It is now August 2025. That's eight months of being stuck in an endless loop of false assurances and ongoing charges, with no resolution in sight. This is more than just poor service. It's systematically negligent and borders on predatory behavior. Locking users into billing cycles with no self-managed way to cancel or delete accounts is unethical. Continuing to charge them after repeated written confirmations that the account has been closed is inexcusable. Avoid Playable at all costs. If you value transparency, customer support, and the ability to manage your own billing, this is not the platform for you.

Pros

Our company initially signed up for Playable’s $99/month plan last year. For the first couple of months, everything seemed to be running smoothly — the charges were close to what we expected, and the platform itself was serviceable.

Cons

Then came an unexpected $3,000 USD charge. No warning, no explanation. I was blindsided. I had to quickly explain this to our finance team and justify how it happened — I was genuinely worried I’d lose my job over it. To reduce further risk, I immediately deleted all remaining videos from our account, thinking that would fix the problem. It didn’t. Even after removing the content, we kept getting charged each month. I tried to cancel our subscription or delete our profile completely, but I discovered that the user dashboard doesn’t allow account or billing information to be deleted. No obvious "Cancel Subscription" button. No option to manage payment details. Nothing.
