We are working for approximately five years with PatSeer products and feel that the continuous technical development and excellent customer service provide a significant value to our business Pros The database covers all relevant authorities and numerous smaller patent authorities, in many cases with full text data only available in PatSeer. The system includes work flow tools which allow effective processing of the most demanding projects like complex FTOs or advanced portfolio analysis. Statistics, AI and traditional searching are well integrated in a single package. A big advantage are the sharing capabilities which allow dissemination of results in a straight forward manner. Cons Occasionally the system slows down a bit, but it appears Gridlogics is getting this under control. Cons The interface is not that great and there are discrepancies in the patent DB (Ex. patents show as inactive while they are not, some patents in the family are missing, especially foreign patents, some PDF documents are missing). The user interface to save and manage project is terrible, very complicated and rudimental Reasons for choosing PatSeer The good value for the service offered. Cons While the analytics section was good, the graphs produced were not the best and data had to be downloaded to another visualization software for presentations.
