### "Worth every penny."

December 18, 2024

5.0

The best. Never had any issues with Oh Dear, and will continue to use them for a long time.

Pros

Pricing for the sheer amount of features you get is very good.

Cons

No mobile version of the dashboard is a minor flaw for me, but willing to look past it considering the use case.

### "Oh Dear is a lifesaver!"

April 8, 2025

5.0

I've been using Oh Dear for my own websites and web apps for the past few years, as well as for my clients' websites. It's always done exactly what it needed to do, and support has always been fantastic if I've had any questions.

Pros

Not only do I get peace of mind that my clients' web apps are up and running, but Oh Dear also gives me confidence that they're performing well. The "Uptime", "Broken Links", and "Lighthouse" features are a lifesaver for me!

Cons

I don't have anything negative to say about Oh Dear 😄

I previously used Pingdom for my uptime monitoring. But I switched over to Oh Dear because of the extra features that are offered for a similar price. I've not looked at Pingdom since switching, so I'm not sure if they also offer similar features now. But, at the time, I don't think they did 🙂

### "Great monitoring platform with useful client-facing features"

March 16, 2026

5.0

Great experience overall Oh Dear makes website monitoring simple and reliable Alerts work perfectly, settings are flexible and the status page is a nice touch for client communication

Pros

Everything works as expected: reliable alerts, flexible configuration and a clean status page It covers all the essentials for solid website monitoring.

Cons

Pricing could be more accessible for smaller projects or freelancers, but the value for money is still good overall

### "They failed to raise to their own expectation"

December 12, 2024

2.0

The overall experience with Oh Dear was ok, but I could not monitor a few domains because of them. One of my domains expired because they failed to notify me. I wanted to scale my account as I have many domains. Their support was there, but they never implemented a domain expiration date. Their website message is: "The TLD of your site isn't supported for the domain check. You can view the supported TLDs in our docs.". Their competitors can do what they can't. That made me jump ships. Now, ALL my domains are monitored.

Pros

The quality of their work and the number of features. Their app is modern.

Cons

Sometimes their app would have a hiccup, causing a false positive. But the most annoying thing is that a monitoring tool like this cannot monitor a domain expiration date.

### "Great tool and rewarding new work for my customers."

January 10, 2026

5.0

Good options to skip certain alerts, which are may not of itnerest at a moment. Ways to snooze or even skip alerts when maintenance is on. So its customizable but not too overwhelming with just tons of preferences.

Pros

Great Tools beside the default monitoring service. Customer support is good. Nice User Interface. I could get out metrics to present to my customers and was rewarded with new efforts they pay for.

Cons

To control a URL with different languages. Maybe I miss the right configuration or guidance to do so.

### "An invaluable tool for our business"

February 4, 2025

5.0

OhDear has been a consistently great service with excellent uptime. It helps me keep track of our services and provide valuable reports to our clients

Pros

We monitor over 24 services and OhDear gives us an accurate reflection of exactly whats going on. It integrates excellently with Laravel so we can monitor our clients applications with ease

Cons

There isn't much I dislike - sometimes the performance graphs don't load - that'd be my only complaint!

### "Oh Dear is a must-have for all web devs"

December 18, 2024

5.0

Super-responsive and friendly support team, they're constantly adding new features and functionality, while improving what's already there. No notes.

Pros

Oh Dear helps us sleep at night, knowing there's a watchful eye on all of our web apps. Our clients love it, too—they see lots of added value in the \*many\* tools that Oh Dear has to offer, even if they're not working with it directly.

Cons

The \*only\* thing we're missing are notifications via Google Chat. That's it.

### "Good monitoring product"

December 20, 2024

5.0

We have been using Oh Dear for a few years and have been happy with the tool. It is pretty inexpensive and the only tool that had broken link checks at the time.

Pros

With Oh Dear, you can configure monitoring on all the things you'd expect like uptime, response time, SSL cert validation. It goes above and beyond by testing for broken links and allowing me to group my monitored sites on the dashboard.

Cons

I really don't have any negatives to list on Oh Dear.

### "Highly recommended tool for site owners"

December 19, 2024

5.0

Only positive. I've been using it for years and it has never let me down. It's straightforward to set up and gives me masses of useful info.

Pros

The fact that it lets me know if any of my sites have a problem - before my client even know!

Cons

Well, this is a little tricky to be honest because I pretty much look all of what Oh Dear does.

### "The best site monitoring tool I ever used"

January 19, 2025

5.0

Oh Dear is one of those set-and-forget tools that you configure once, and then you hope to not be notified by them. Super reliable, love all those various checks that I can set up for my domains. It's not only site-is-down monitor, it's also cron, sitemaps, performance, lighthouse reports, status pages, etc. I love that I can give access to others as well, good for reports. Their support is also great, there were several occasions when I reported some bugs and they fixed them promptly, which is awesome. And the configuration is very easy - you add the domain, and depending on some features send them an HTTP request, and that's it. Super easy.

Pros

This is an all-in-one-tool for all things related to my sites monitoring.

Cons

Being on a grandfathered plan, I can't upgrade to yearly payments to have less invoices to deal with :)

### "Great product, especially for Laravel focused companies"

December 12, 2024

5.0

Pros

OhDear is a great product and has an easy to use interface. I started using this product for up-time and domain checks, and later found out about more features such as the Application Monitoring option which works perfectly with Laravel projects.

Cons

In the past we've had a few issues with false positives and there was 1 occasion where an domain check was not executed which resulted in our team not receiving the notifications about an domain which then expired.

### "Excellent website monitoring"

January 8, 2025

5.0

Excellent for website monitoring, not as easy to use for web apps with multiple services/domains/daemons/etc.

Pros

The level of integration with Laravel is excellent

Cons

Our apps have many modules on multiple domains. This forces us to use the "pro" subscription which is not that bad, but the tracking of multiple services, daemons, schedules, on different servers behind load balancing is not easy, but it is a tough requirement.

### "Monitoring is Key to Customers Trust"

December 19, 2024

5.0

We’ve been using Oh Dear for a few years now and it has helped us get ahead of outages instead of hearing about it from customers. This has allowed us to let customers know we are on it before they can tell us.

Pros

Monitoring sites helps us be proactive instead of waiting for support tickets to come in. We also monitor scheduled jobs and use the Slack integration to get notified when they are missed.

Cons

Using the api did take some effort to understand, but works well.

### "Deceptively powerful"

December 18, 2024

4.0

Pros

Easy to get up and running. Uptime checks on a par with other services I've used, but so much functionality on top of that that makes it a no brainer.

Cons

Some minor niggles around the interface the deals with the monitoring of cronjobs - nothing that would stop me using the product though.

### "Great monitoring tool"

August 19, 2025

5.0

Great tool written by a well-respected software house. I have over 100 websites monitored on it and it works well.

Pros

Replaces several services with one integrated offering. Really good for PHP based frameworks like Laravel and CraftCMS but can work with anything. Love the regular Lighthouse reports to monitor ,movements in front-end performance over time.

Cons

I've had some weird false positives but to be honest it happens with all monitoring applications. It's also a little pricey but you get what you pay for :)
