Never had any issues with Oh Dear, and will continue to use them for a long time. Pros Pricing for the sheer amount of features you get is very good. Cons No mobile version of the dashboard is a minor flaw for me, but willing to look past it considering the use case. It is reliable and does what it should for a good price. Very happy with the service. Pros It’s a great service overall. Its biggest strength is how simple it is to use, configure and get started with. It also includes all the monitoring you need for a website in one place. Notifications can be sent to the channels we want, which is really convenient. It’s also very cheap for what you get. Cons I wish there were more settings for certain things. I also don’t like how you get spammed every hour with notifications about things that aren’t critical. And when you snooze from Slack, it snoozes everything, so you might miss something more important that happens during your snooze time. CTO Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "They failed to raise to their own expectation" December 12, 2024 2.0 The overall experience with Oh Dear was ok, but I could not monitor a few domains because of them. One of my domains expired because they failed to notify me. I wanted to scale my account as I have many domains. Their support was there, but they never implemented a domain expiration date. Their website message is: "The TLD of your site isn't supported for the domain check. You can view the supported TLDs in our docs.". Their competitors can do what they can't. That made me jump ships. Now, ALL my domains are monitored. Pros The quality of their work and the number of features. Their app is modern. Cons Sometimes their app would have a hiccup, causing a false positive. But the most annoying thing is that a monitoring tool like this cannot monitor a domain expiration date. January 10, 2026 5.0 Good options to skip certain alerts, which are may not of itnerest at a moment. Ways to snooze or even skip alerts when maintenance is on. So its customizable but not too overwhelming with just tons of preferences. Pros Great Tools beside the default monitoring service. Customer support is good. Nice User Interface. I could get out metrics to present to my customers and was rewarded with new efforts they pay for. Cons To control a URL with different languages. Maybe I miss the right configuration or guidance to do so. April 8, 2025 5.0 I've been using Oh Dear for my own websites and web apps for the past few years, as well as for my clients' websites. It's always done exactly what it needed to do, and support has always been fantastic if I've had any questions. Pros Not only do I get peace of mind that my clients' web apps are up and running, but Oh Dear also gives me confidence that they're performing well. The "Uptime", "Broken Links", and "Lighthouse" features are a lifesaver for me! Cons I don't have anything negative to say about Oh Dear 😄 Switched from [Pingdom](https://www.capterra.com/p/131928/Pingdom/) I previously used Pingdom for my uptime monitoring. But I switched over to Oh Dear because of the extra features that are offered for a similar price. I've not looked at Pingdom since switching, so I'm not sure if they also offer similar features now. It integrates excellently with Laravel so we can monitor our clients applications with ease Cons There isn't much I dislike - sometimes the performance graphs don't load - that'd be my only complaint! It goes above and beyond by testing for broken links and allowing me to group my monitored sites on the dashboard. Cons I really don't have any negatives to list on Oh Dear. You don't pay per site, but per 5 / 10 / 25 / 50 / ... sites. So if you use 26 sites, you have a relatively bad price per site, whereas you have a very good price if you use 25 sites. Super reliable, love all those various checks that I can set up for my domains. It's not only site-is-down monitor, it's also cron, sitemaps, performance, lighthouse reports, status pages, etc. I love that I can give access to others as well, good for reports. Their support is also great, there were several occasions when I reported some bugs and they fixed them promptly, which is awesome. And the configuration is very easy - you add the domain, and depending on some features send them an HTTP request, and that's it. Super easy. Pros This is an all-in-one-tool for all things related to my sites monitoring. This has allowed us to let customers know we are on it before they can tell us. Pros Monitoring sites helps us be proactive instead of waiting for support tickets to come in. Cons The only downside I can think of is the price is higher than similar services, but that hasn't been a prohibitor for me. Review Source VR Verified Reviewer Full Stack Web Developer Computer Software Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Not just a monitoring tool for websites" December 6, 2021 5.0 Pros The thing that I like most about Oh Dear! is that it doesn't just monitor your website: you can have alerts based on changes in ssl certificates (no more surprises of expired certificates), on changes in dns setting up. You also get notified about broken links in your website and get a report each month. Cons The status page you can configure is nice looking but it would be even better if more customization were allowed. By the way you can have the status page on your subdomain as well which is cool.
