I needed a tool that would allow me to have an overview of the health status of a web app and alert me when something isn't working. I found it all in Oh Dear. Pros I like the ease of use well balanced with the available features. I think is a very well balanced solution between features and simplicity. Cons It's not the most advanced tool available, so if you need a lot of insight maybe this is not for you. Review Source HB Harrison B. Well-made, highly reliable and well-priced for the feature set it comes with. It's easy for my team to get going with as well as it's nicely designed and they've gone with a small, curated set of features (rather than chucking everything in). Pros So many monitoring systems are either massive overkill and overkill, or half-baked and insufficient. OhDear sits perfectly in the middle and is a well-designed, fantastic monitoring system that's perfect for a lot of sites and apps. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles, and for my firm there's still a place for expensive tools such as Datadog, but for the majority of use-cases OhDear is about perfect. Cons Almost nothing, really. For large complex products we can't \*only\* use OhDear as we sometimes also need things like automated multi-step browser tests, but for 80% of what we do OhDear is excellent. It is just really nice to use. Also I like the feature set. It as everything you need, both for websites and for individual services. Oh, and it is super reliable. Cons Not much to dislike. It is a very focused tool doing a job really well. The only thing is that the integrations for PHP seem to be better then the ones for TS or Python. But that has not been a problem for us. We migrated from a competitor and would do it again any time. Pros It has an impressive variety of checks, ensuring you really are monitoring every little detail. On top of that you can implement custom checks. It also has great alerting settings with account and site granularity and fallbacks. You can even snooze alerts. The product is constantly evolving and improving. We use OhDear to monitor our client sites, broken links, DNS, SSL certs, lighthouse speeds, and more. Their API is just as powerful. Cons I have no dislikes. The only thing that I would like to see is the ability to monitor script tags in source code. For example, if a Google Analytics tag goes missing. Plus costs were increasing that we couldn't justify. Oh Dear was refreshing because it just does what we want/need without unnecessary bloat. So often platforms constantly add features and functionality causing unwanted distractions as a customer. Oh Dear does the things we want whilst remaining simple to use and using up minimal time. We run a couple of accounts for multiple projects and have no reason to look elsewhere. Pros A nicely designed product that does what we want it to do without any unnecessary fuss. It's not complicated and just works! I really really like it! Pros This design is super user-friendly and easy to navigate. Adding a page is a breeze, and the notifications are quick and easy to understand. If you use multiple pages, the price is reasonable and can easily be added to a web maintenance service for your customers. The support is quick to respond and friendly. You don't pay per site, but per 5 / 10 / 25 / 50 / ... sites. So if you use 26 sites, you have a relatively bad price per site, whereas you have a very good price if you use 25 sites. As well as changed to Performance, Domains, Certificates, etc. Cons Broken Link Checks only run for 20 minutes per site, which is not enough for really large sites.
