I think this a great service for basic information, refills if traveling, all the Doctors have been very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommended Teladoc. Cons I've used Teladoc 4 times over the past year, each time it's been easy to use and schedule a call with a Doc. Doc call within an hour. Can be great for getting quick medical advice. Pros Teladoc Health is easy and accessible for all employees to use. It offers a good range of scheduling options to choose from. And it saves employees time on having to go in person. Cons Inconsistent quality of care depending on the provider and low record management. We've had employees mention it wasn't useful or were wrongfully diagnose. According to Teladoc’s policy, patients can send a follow-up message to their doctor within seven days, including additional questions or photos. When I tried to do this, the platform only allowed me to upload one photo, even though the initial submission had accepted multiple. In the follow-up message, I made it clear to the doctor that I was having trouble uploading the correct photos. I also called Customer Support immediately to figure out how to send the correct photos. While I was still on the phone with Support, the doctor closed my case, leaving me unable to provide the information needed for a proper diagnosis. Over the next several weeks I followed up multiple times with Teladoc. Support agents admitted the doctor was too hasty in closing the case, and told me my request would be escalated and that I would likely hear from a supervisor within a few days. No one ever contacted me. When I followed up again, my requests to either reopen the case with the doctor to get a correct diagnosis, to reschedule with another doctor at no charge, or to receive a refund were all denied. Teladoc also claimed they had emailed me updates, but no emails were ever received (I checked spam and junk). In the end, I paid $89 and never had the chance to get a meaningful medical opinion, and the Customer Service was truly disappointing. Teladoc had multiple chances to make it right and simply didn’t. Pros Unfortunately nothing. I was excited about the prospect of receiving a valid medical opinion quickly, but that didn't pan out. Cons Doctor closed case too early (which Teladoc Health admitted). I spent a total of 1.5 hours (over 3 calls) on the call with Customer Service and never got a resolution, and unfortunately wasted $89 for no diagnosis. This doctor prescribed antibiotic ear drops and said take Tylenol for sore throat. He says viral infection we asked that a antibiotic be prescribed for sore throat. This was unhelpful and the pharmacist said the ear drops prescribed will not be helpful for a sore throat and agreed an antibiotic should be prescribed. We contacted Teladoc an were told to either schedule another visit or contact our primary care doctor. Pros Ease of Use, easy to get a doctor 24/7. Speed of response. It offers a simple-to-use and dependable pathway to remote healthcare access. It is wonderful for dermatology, general medical consultations, and mental health support. Particularly during busy periods, it is a useful resource for students or anyone who needs medical guidance without the annoyance of visiting an office. Pros Teladoc's access and simplicity of use are really valued by me. Particularly for non-urgent health issues, being a student with access to healthcare professionals practically is a great advantage. The consultations are very professional, brief, and enlightening; the process is straightforward. Cons One drawback is the limit of available services based on your area. Availability of particular specialties or services in some regions may be limited, and occasionally the wait time for particular appointments might be somewhat longer than anticipated. I question if I actually spoke to a doctor since she lied about treatment I’ve been given twice in the past being legitimate. Amoxicillin is one of the main treatments for cellulitis and she specifically said it does not treat skin infections. Pros Absolutely nothing. I was excited about the convenience of it, but the system kept messing up then I wasted 45 minutes with customer service and in the end got nothing but my money taken!!!! Cons Took an hour to make an appointment bc their system wouldn’t work. Spent 45 min on phone with rep. Finally spoke to a doctor who had no clue what she was talking about telling me amoxicillin isn’t used for cellulitis from a bite which I have been prescribed and used by legit doctors twice in the past!
