### "Don't trust Teladoc Health "

October 4, 2025

1.0

I used Teladoc Health for a dermatology appointment and ran into significant issues with their platform and customer service. According to Teladoc’s policy, patients can send a follow-up message to their doctor within seven days, including additional questions or photos. When I tried to do this, the platform only allowed me to upload one photo, even though the initial submission had accepted multiple. In the follow-up message, I made it clear to the doctor that I was having trouble uploading the correct photos. I also called Customer Support immediately to figure out how to send the correct photos. While I was still on the phone with Support, the doctor closed my case, leaving me unable to provide the information needed for a proper diagnosis. Over the next several weeks I followed up multiple times with Teladoc. Support agents admitted the doctor was too hasty in closing the case, and told me my request would be escalated and that I would likely hear from a supervisor within a few days. No one ever contacted me. When I followed up again, my requests to either reopen the case with the doctor to get a correct diagnosis, to reschedule with another doctor at no charge, or to receive a refund were all denied. Teladoc also claimed they had emailed me updates, but no emails were ever received (I checked spam and junk). In the end, I paid $89 and never had the chance to get a meaningful medical opinion, and the Customer Service was truly disappointing. Teladoc had multiple chances to make it right and simply didn’t.

Pros

Unfortunately nothing. I was excited about the prospect of receiving a valid medical opinion quickly, but that didn't pan out.

Cons

Doctor closed case too early (which Teladoc Health admitted). I spent a total of 1.5 hours (over 3 calls) on the call with Customer Service and never got a resolution, and unfortunately wasted $89 for no diagnosis.

### "Convenient, Reliable, and Accessible."

April 3, 2025

5.0

In total, I have had good encounters with Teladoc. It offers a simple-to-use and dependable pathway to remote healthcare access. It is wonderful for dermatology, general medical consultations, and mental health support. Particularly during busy periods, it is a useful resource for students or anyone who needs medical guidance without the annoyance of visiting an office.

Pros

Teladoc's access and simplicity of use are really valued by me. Particularly for non-urgent health issues, being a student with access to healthcare professionals practically is a great advantage. The consultations are very professional, brief, and enlightening; the process is straightforward.

Cons

One drawback is the limit of available services based on your area. Availability of particular specialties or services in some regions may be limited, and occasionally the wait time for particular appointments might be somewhat longer than anticipated.

### "Great Service "

November 13, 2025

I think Teladoc is a great service if you have a questions for a Doc or traveling and need basic prescriptions. Very easy to use and Doctor calls you back within an hour. Thanks

Pros

Easy to use and Doc cals you within an hour. I think this a great service for basic information, refills if traveling, all the Doctors have been very friendly and helpful. I would highly recommended Teladoc.

Cons

I've used Teladoc 4 times over the past year, each time it's been easy to use and schedule a call with a Doc. Doc call within an hour.

### "Teladoc Thoughts"

October 16, 2025

4.0

Overall, it can be a useful tool for employees if implemented correctly by leadership. Can be great for getting quick medical advice.

Pros

Teladoc Health is easy and accessible for all employees to use. It offers a good range of scheduling options to choose from. And it saves employees time on having to go in person.

Cons

Inconsistent quality of care depending on the provider and low record management. We've had employees mention it wasn't useful or were wrongfully diagnose.

### "Unsatisfied with care provided"

August 7, 2025

General Medical visit August 6, 2025 Provider: \[sensitive content hidden\] -my wife has a sore throat along with ear ache. This doctor prescribed antibiotic ear drops and said take Tylenol for sore throat. He says viral infection we asked that a antibiotic be prescribed for sore throat. This was unhelpful and the pharmacist said the ear drops prescribed will not be helpful for a sore throat and agreed an antibiotic should be prescribed. We contacted Teladoc an were told to either schedule another visit or contact our primary care doctor.

Pros

Ease of Use, easy to get a doctor 24/7. Speed of response. Patient management creating and maintain a profile

Cons

General Medical visit August 6, 2025 Provider: \[sensitive content hidden\] this doctor does not listen to you and should not provide care to anyone

### "This place is a scam"

August 8, 2024

1.0

Pros

I love that Teladoc has an attractive website that makes you feel like they will be able to help.

Cons

This place is a scam; I've had a few appointments where I'm trying to get very low-level medications, this time for high blood pressure. I have multiple devices to measure my blood pressure, and I have the data on my phone going back 8 years. The doctor said she couldn't prescribe a medication for the first time over Teladoc. The conversation was less than 2 minutes, and they refused to refund me "because the policy says there is no guarantee of getting medications."

### "Waste of time for Patients and Doctors"

July 24, 2024

1.0

Pros

The convenience to talk to a physician's exists, but the physicians are bound to TeleDoc's rules that essentially make them quite useless. It's good side income and you can do it while on call. Its a good box to check off by employers as they can say they offer free healthcare.

Cons

They are there to talk and give you advice but nothing helpful. an easy google search will tell you the same.

### "WASTE OF TIME & MONEY"

August 10, 2024

1.0

Customer service was nice. I question if I actually spoke to a doctor since she lied about treatment I’ve been given twice in the past being legitimate. Amoxicillin is one of the main treatments for cellulitis and she specifically said it does not treat skin infections.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. I was excited about the convenience of it, but the system kept messing up then I wasted 45 minutes with customer service and in the end got nothing but my money taken!!!!

Cons

Took an hour to make an appointment bc their system wouldn’t work. Spent 45 min on phone with rep. Finally spoke to a doctor who had no clue what she was talking about telling me amoxicillin isn’t used for cellulitis from a bite which I have been prescribed and used by legit doctors twice in the past! They did nothing!

### "Good company but provider background makes a difference"

October 23, 2022

5.0

It has evolved over the years. I've learned how to use Teladoc better. Also, they offer good online training for beginning providers.

Pros

Excellent video and audio experience; provides a nice profile for potential patients to choose providers from; patient note areas now has some checklists which helps a lot.

Cons

Lumps all mental health providers together. Thus, provider pay is lower than the other platforms I use which pay by educational and clinical background of provider. This makes me tend to use other platforms more.

### "Useless Dr \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]"

December 23, 2021

1.0

I made an appointment yesterday for a cough, stuffy nose and really bad ear ache (throbbing) I explained this to Dr.\[SENSITIVE CONTENT\]which she replied it sounds like a common cold so use a warm compress on your ear and it will help with the paid (I know what an ear infection feels like when I get one which my ear drum buss every time so i always try to catch it earlier. The Dr. told me there was nothing they can do and was there anything else she could help me with, I explained yes and i talked to her more, her response was "I cannot help you and order your a prescription for you at this time as this will heal on its own." I have been taking over the counter meds for this and its getting worse. I told her i was not happy with this visit that i wanted to speak with someone else. She said sorry Call back tomorrow have a great day. I call back this morning, which it was worse customer service than the Dr. The customer service supervisor was not professional at all and talked not professionally. I asked to speak with someone else because she was so rude and this lady told me is there anything i can help you with further I replied yes, I told her how I felt and she said I am sorry have a great day goodbye and hung up in my face.. So I schedule an appointment with my dr. go this morning and I do have a sinus infection and a double ear infection. I had to pay my copay twice in two days. I WANT A REFUND. If I do not get it i was just keep escalating this issue.

### "THE At-Home Doc!"

December 6, 2019

5.0

I’ve used the Teledoc app for minor sickness issues that can be easily addressed over the phone or by video. Once setup, it’s easy to initiate a call with a doctor and they’ve always been kind and understanding...and fairly quick to call too!

Pros

Well the first thing I love is that it is now free with out insurance plan. That’s awesome and amazing! I also like that they have a quick response time. The app allows you to add photos if needed and you can even do a video chat with the doctor.

Cons

It takes a little effort to setup your account. My biggest irritation is when receiving calls from the doctor, it will come from an unlisted number. If your iPhone security is set to ignore calls from unlisted numbers it can seriously delay your call until you fix your settings. Otherwise, the app works really well!

### "Scam"

January 15, 2022

1.0

Don’t waste your time!!! I scheduled an appointment with a doctor about a week out from the appointment date (1/12 at 1:30pm MT). The provider confirmed the date & time worked for her and even re-confirmed she would be joining on time at about 1:00pm MT. 10 minutes before the appointment was supposed to start, I get the invitation to the “waiting room” and joined. I then waited another 30 minutes for the doctor to join and she never did nor did she communicate she was running late or unable to make our appointment. She didn’t even end up reviewing my medical chart until 3.5 hours after the appointment start time! I have reached out 3 times to Teladoc customer service about this to make sure I will not be billed for the missed appointment and have received ZERO communication from them, even though they say they’ll follow up within 24 hours and have 24/7 customer service. There are also no ways to communicate with your provider in Teladoc either via the app or on the desktop version, so I can’t even ask her to delete the appointment off my dashboard. But the providers can communicate with YOU, though. What a joke and a scam. When I commented on their Facebook wall (they have it locked down to where you can’t comment or review them- you can only comment on their posts), I was told that they’re experiencing longer than usual wait times and that if I send them a message, they’ll have the next available provider call me. This is unacceptable considering I had a scheduled appo

Pros

Seemed easy to use Seemed convenient Not much else, to be honest

Cons

No customer service whatsoever Doctor no showed our appointment that was scheduled a week out and haven’t heard from her Unable to send a message direct to the provider either via the app or the desktop (but they can send messages to the client)

### "Almost killed me"

March 22, 2022

2.0

I used Teladoc on \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] because I was experiencing sharp and unbearable pain in my stomach. The doctor, (name withheld at this time) diagnosed me with a stomach flu. I told him that this DID NOT FEEL LIKE A STOMACH FLU several times, and even told him it felt like bad food poisoning. he told me that it did not sound like food poisoning and it was a stomach bug that would last 72 hours. He told me to get bed rest, take some meds he prescribed for nausea, and if it didn't get better in 72 hours to go to the ER. 24 hours later I couldn't walk. My family carried me to the car and rushed me to the ER where they told me I was hours from dying. My appendix had ruptured and I was in septic shock. I was left with a baseball sized hole in my stomach. I was in the hospital for almost 2 weeks. I've had two surgeries now because of this, and a third scheduled for about a week from now. All of this because of a LAZY doctor who was more concerned with the number of patients he sees in a day rather than the quality of care he performed. My surgeon said that if I would have come in a day earlier, I would have had a two inch incision and been out of the hospital in a day. I am FURIOUS with this doctor and Teladoc... who refuses to fix the situation or even talk to me.

Pros

I THOUGHT this would be a viable option for healthcare

Cons

Lazy diagnosis, in a hurry to get to the next call, not asking questions, and NOT LISTENING to what I was telling him about what I was feeling.

### "50/50 on the doctors. 0/100 on the Customer Service"

January 14, 2021

2.0

A complete waste of time an money for me.

Pros

It was fast, and the first visit I had was with a woman that listened, addressed my concerns, and made quick work of my apt. (it was the second one that went bad)

Cons

Second appointment lasted 5x longer than the first. Most of it I spent trying to correct the doctor that wasn't letting me finish talking about the info he could have read in my teledoc medical history but didn't. The rest of the appointment was just trying to get off the phone with him after he said he could do nothign for me and I had to go in person. Customer support is really bad. I called to report the apt and request a refund. They refused the refund despite continually apologizing for the terrible quality of the visit and saying that because I agreed to the copay before I was responsible. So, in conclusion they don't take responsibility for their doctors. If I had just listened to the doctor on the second appointment instead of realizing his error and correcting them, if would have resulted in overmedicating the issue.

### "Teledoc Review"

August 6, 2021

5.0

Teledoc is a perfect solution for the times when you're not feeling well but do not necessarily need to visit a physician in person. As a result, there is a saved cost.

Pros

The health insurance through our employer offers Teledoc. The Teledoc app is simple to set up and provides clear instructions. Booking an appointment was fast and easy.

Cons

Not a big issue, but there were additional steps to add my spouse who's covered on my plan. I am certain, though, that would be the case with any similar software.

### "Access Excellent Care from Anywhere"

March 11, 2021

5.0

Teladoc saves time. All medical providers I have seen are professional and I have received nothing less than stellar care from them. Even a prescription called right into my local pharmacy!

Pros

This was the easiest tool I've ever used for access to reliable healthcare. From downloading the app to my first doctor visit was everything was simple and FAST. And of course, accurate.

Cons

The moon inconvenience, and it was minor, was the few extra steps to get my children signed up on the account as well (they're in their teens so I understand that Teladoc needed their input as well).

### "Solid system"

July 12, 2023

Overall my experience with Teladoc has been positive. Each time I’ve needed to call, interactions with the doctors have always been beneficial/helpful.

Pros

Getting set up is easy. Once you sign up and create an account, the process of scheduling a call is seamless. I also like the portability of it; the ability to use it no matter where you are is invaluable.

Cons

Integration with our business processes was bumpy in the beginning, but I called and spoke to an agent who helped walk me through the issue I was having.

### "Remote Health Assessments"

February 9, 2021

4.0

From the get-go my experience with Teladoc was a positive one. Highly professional doctors. Easy to use application. What more could you ask for?

Pros

Teladoc is fairly straight forward to use. Requesting an appointment is as simple as entering a few details about your request, choosing a timeframe, and how you'd like to be contacted. The doctors are highly professional and helpful.

Cons

If you forget your password or are otherwise unable to login to your account it can be a frustrating experience to reset it. Sometimes the automated emails don't arrive until days later, or sometimes not at all.
