Tempo helps our business track costs and time investments across various departments, which leads to meaningful reports that enable us to undertake multiple action items.

Pros

Timesheets nicely integrate with both Jira and JSM from Atlassian. Currently, the solution is also the most affordable on the market, offering an integrated system for an average of 50% less than the competition. To date, Timesheets help us track time on multiple levels: individual, team, and project- this helps us understand who is struggling with their workload, we can create action items for Team Leads, and finally, upon extracting data through API to our BI, we can calculate service cost for each ticket or agent.

Cons

The plugin would be better if it could contain an out-of-the-box solution to mark people as absent or insert any planned absences. Instead, most of these functions are available through additional plugins It would also be great if you could set up utilization value so that, for example, you could calculate the % of utilization from, let's say, 7 hours instead of the standard 8 hours.

Had a great experience using Tempo for projects. The approval workflow was smooth and the reporting on Tempo was great as well

Pros

Made tracking my projects and time tracking easy. Wasn't hard to learn and worked smooth with Timesheets. Great value for money

Cons

The UI can be overwhelming, especially if you're new to the app Too many nested menus and configuration options.

Overall good, however if automation can be implemented somehow this would be even better so that repetitiveness is reduced

Pros

Very easy UI, easy to log tasks (Thanks to JIRA integration) and easy to understand how to log time against task as well

Cons

Lot of manual time taken repeatedly in order to log time sheets per week. Even if submitting e.g holidays the duplicate task does help but still has to be done manually for every day

Tempo Timesheets allow staff to track their weekly hours in a user-friendly format. It is possible to highlight the percentage of hours allocated to particular lines of work and by business functions. Importantly, the tool helps track R&D hours for tracking hours allocated by staff to such projects.

Pros

The product offers a convenient way for staff to track their hours across business functions and respective roles.

Cons

There is little to no issue with the platform, aside from the icons which seem a bit retro, but other than that the platform achieves its objectives.

Pros

It gets easier to manage larger teams in projects using Tempo. Automated time tracking saves a lot of time when switching context, as well as the ability to generate custom reports and manage custom holiday schemes. Sometimes the revenue reports come handy to avoid complex Excel manipulations.

Cons

The more you use it the more you learn... in the beginning there is a learning curve that can be challenging, some users will need admin support for permission issues (like worklogs editing) or for integrations if you plan to track the entire work day with it.

Pros

I used this whilst collaborating with an external organisation (along with Jira) and it was really smooth to use to track our time on the project.

Cons

Reporting features were a little bit lacking or confusing which led to some manual work at the end of the month.

Saves a ton of time with tracking for employees. Super easy to track the time and overtime. Would highly recommend this for employees that don't have the same schedule every week.

API communications could be better, occasionally sync and performance issues and basic mobile app functionality is not that great.

Overall I like Tempo Timesheets mostly for its simplicity and this tool simply does its job.

Pros

I like the simplicity of UI and functionalities. Tempo Timesheets is a tool that is very intuitive and useful. I like the table layout of the "My Work" tab, which shows exactly my work on certain days. I like using the reports tool to check how many hours I logged in a certain time period and how much time I spent on certain projects. I really like that I can integrate google calendar in to the tempo this is a very useful feature for me.

Cons

I don't like the "Search issues" search bar when I log time. It is really hard for me to search certain issues by Jira code, by description because I am assigned to many projects at a time. When I try to search the issue by code, for example, SIG-1, and on our board, we have for example 200 issues, I can't see the SIG-1 anywhere, I see mostly SIG-100 and up. Even if I type the part of the description on which I need to spend time unnecessarily to go to the Jira and search proper issue.

We used Jira Cloud first with Tempo. Both have being working solidly and well, without regrets. Team leads and managers have been able to easily track time spent in tasks and organize work accordingly.

Pros

Tempo is very easy, simple and intuitive to use. It does not have a lot of features, but the few that it has work solidly. The table layout allows the user to easily see what tasks they have worked on and how much work they have left to do. Also, the integration with Google Calendar is very useful and works well.

Cons

Automatic time tracking didn't work too well. It sometimes tried to suggest we log hours from already closed tasks or from tasks that we didn't even use. In addition, the service was sometimes slow in logging hours, taking several seconds to display the changes.

Very positive! Everyone enjoys it and I don't receive any negative feedbacks about it.

Pros

The interface is very user friendly, it allows all team members to quickly fill out their timesheets. That was our #1 requirement when we switched to Tempo Timesheets. Our previous solution made this tedious and team members would be reluctant to properly enter their time. In addition, the options at our disposal (different teams, reports, admin) allows us management to easily bubble up all required info.

Cons

Even though we consider it is worth it, it is the most expensive timesheet plugin in the Atlassian Marketplace. Also, there is a bug that annoys me personally: when logging work and navigating quickly through the fields (jumping to the "time" part with TAB), any value entered too quickly would be wiped by a refresh that happens in the background. I'm to blame as well for that because I did not report it yet. :)

Overall very good. Support has provided quick turnaround on any questions. Bug fixes and improvements continue at a good pace, and the improvements are quality ones.

Pros

For issue-oriented end-users (e.g. developers), it's a great tool. \* Easy to use \* Seamlessly integration with Jira \* Easy administration

Cons

For account oriented end-users, there's an impedance mismatch. These users just want to log time against an account. Logging time against an issue and then assigning it to an account never feels right to them, and it's their biggest complaint. Tempo's solution is Internal Issues, but that doesn't resolve this usability issue for these users. Does not support labor categories well - especially when a user performs different roles with different labor categories in a project. It can be partially worked around with work attributes. Reporting works great for what's built-in but still needs improvement. E.g. reports of hours by combinations of project, account, user, role, work-attributes are needed. Dumping into Excel is the workaround here.

### "Tempo Timesheets Rocks!"

We switched to Jira/Tempo several years ago (from FogBugz) because we needed a development tracking tool with a good time tracking system. We picked Jira Software Cloud first and then selected Tempo Timesheets for time tracking. No regrets with Tempo. Jira has been (and still is) an adventure at times, but Tempo Timesheets has been a solid performer from the start. And it has received significant improvements over time. It's a great choice for my company.

Pros

Easy to use. Integrates well with Jira Software Cloud. Reasonably priced.

Cons

Not big , but due to Jira changes, it now takes an extra click to get to Tempo time entry in a Jira ticket.

Even with the cons above still helps in one-stop-shopping with JIRA on all the information I need and the ability to export all fields to do reporting is very helpful with reports to clients and internal stakeholders.

Pros

The different ways to be able to enter time - especially the daily view with the time. Good integration with JIRA and Ease in customizing and editing.

Cons

Not being able to report fully on how I want (e.g., export into Excel indicating time by week periods); GUI issue where you have to scroll to the bottom to navigate - logged bug). Still not sure how to work the teams and calculation of remaining time vs estimation and ability to add a field to show % complete. Would be good to be able to select which fields to export to excel and save that - would save me a lot of time.

Reason for choosing Tempo Timesheets

N/A but currently they are looking at Projector and fighting to keep Tempo due to the integration with JIRA/Confluence, the view on how to enter time and ease of use.

We have integrated Tempo Timesheets across our company and it is being used by the developers as a means to track time and for managers to output really helpful data and business intelligence.

Pros

Tempo brings the most comprehensive and impressive timesheet management to Jira - we have found this to be the best timesheet management add on with an excellent array of features and a decent mobile app.

Cons

Putting all the Tempo products together gets very expensive but we've generally found them to be good value for money.

### "Jira integrated time tracking"

Pros

I can use mobile app for logging hours which is pretty convenient. It also gives you pretty neat working hours report so I can bill my clients accordingly.

Cons

Sometimes it's cumbersome to find Jira issues that I'd like to log hours in. On mobile application you cannot set worked hours directly (you can do it through website tho). You have to set specific begininning and end time which make the process longer.
