I use Tempo Timesheets since two years ago and I find it very easy to track my work and to review the work of the rest of the team. Its nice interface and mobile app make it easy and pleasant for everyone to use it.

Pros

Integration with JIRA. Mobile app. Review of timesheets by team leaders. Approval workflow.

Cons

I found a little bit difficult to understand the role of accounts and other advanced features. I think those are great features that should be better highlighted.

Incredibly good, I've been through other timesheeting software and I like the flexibility to create my tasks

Pros

Interface is easy, you can get used to the tool quite quickly. Setup is not complicated Inputting time is easy

Cons

App can be a bit slow to load sometimes.

The stability of the product is not always at the level we'd like to see. Added worklogs won't show up immediately. Also the reporting and timesheet view for managers can use some work to make it more usable.

Pros

We really like the way we can work in Jira and add worklogs to Tempo Timesheets.

Cons

There is a load of data in the tool but getting it out within the Timesheets UI is not as easy as we would like.

Well, hour reporting is much faster and much more transparent, and so is customer invoicing at the end of the reporting period.

Pros

Tasks are automatically there to report time on, if you use Jira consistently which we of course do. Good overview on the whole team and if there is some work time which is not reported.

Cons

At times, there are slight issues with getting the right amount of hours on the right day and task, and the wrong task is easily selected by mistake, and it is cumbersome to correct.

i often want a jira story "recording time in tempo" to log time against... i think that sums it up. things should be easier than this.

Pros

it keeps track of time. since it is a time tracking tool, i guess it does what its supposed to do.

Cons

not sure whether this is a jira problem or a tempo problem but it is not an easy workflow. recording time is often a cumbersome task.

JIRA alone does not provide the possibility of settling projects. Tempo solved our problem. It allows us to settle our team's working time - holidays, sick days and additionally settle paid projects.

Pros

Reports - many configuration options - best for me: reports based on issue filters

Cons

Frequent problems with the application - for example, you cannot report time, or you do not see the time reported ... Maybe associated with an ongoing software update?

Pros

The usability, the fact that you always stay up to date and improve your product, everything!

Cons

Documentation. One of the minuses about Tempo Timesheet is the documentation you can find in case you get in trouble.

Overall I think Tempo is a great product and would recommend it to anyone looking to track time.

Pros

We really like Tempo for our time tracking. It integrates well with JIRA and makes it very easy for the team to enter their time either directly in each ticket or via the timesheet. I really like the reporting capability. Easy to use and robust.

Cons

There is a date discrepancy between what JIRA posts in the timesheet entry and Tempo. Not sure whose issue it is, but it's not accurate in JIRA.

Best way to track time in JIRA. Very easy for the users, good reports for the managers. Very configurable.

Cons

The documentation could use some improvement, there are differences in the rest api and servlet which are not that well documented

Over the last couple of years, the experience has been positive. We are able to do everything we need to do I just wish you had options to view a couple of additonal items in the reports such as the original estimated time.

Pros

Timesheets is easy to use and allows my team insight into our budget.

Cons

I do wish you could cut the data a little more, also wish for some additional feature/integration with Jira's New Projects. Mainly we need to be able to set default customers in Jira's new projects.

Pros

We use JIRA to organize our software development sprints internally and tempo allows you to log every single minute to the task or feature that you were working on without any effort. Therefore, timesheets can be filled out easily and quickly and do not interfere with our day to day tasks. It is easy to use and probably the best product for timesheets on the market.

Cons

I haven't found any Cons with Tempo and we have been using it for several years.

Overall a good experience with Tempo and it gives us the clarity we need on our projects.

Pros

Gives us the ability to keep track of and understand the time it takes for any given project.

Cons

Interface is a little dated, due to the UI it can be a little hard at first navigating and figuring it out.

Great product! Previously, our software staff needed to track hours outside of JIRA. Having Tempo saved our company and staff a tremendous amount of effort to track directly in our applicable tickets.

Seemless integration with JIRA; simple administrative controls and setup; good reporting

Cons

would like to be able to see billable time in timesheet grid - not just worked; more export data options - not just entire database and then need to pivot in Excel
