So we wanted to simplify our daily life by getting something simpler. Tempo was the right choice and has made it very simple to log time. Pros Logging couldn't be easier than by using Tempo Timesheets. Everywhere in JIRA there is a button or option to log time whenever a task is either done, in progress or just starting. Cons The icon looks like a checkbox: We use Check-list which has an icon that looks just like Tempo.. I wish the time was 3 pm instead of 10:10 ... you aren't selling watches you know... Cons Spent about 40 hours over two months trying to restore time logs in the software. Ended up finally getting a data dump from their database so we could bill clients. Cons Migration between JIRA Software to Cloud is not supported. Tracker in JIRA + chrome add-on is a little buggy (sometimes it starts at -20 seconds). When you try to log time and you are already in an issue with the shortcut 'W', it ask you to set the issue manually. Missing some basic configurations in my opinion, and configurable reminders. We recently we brought additional areas of our IT groups into Jira and the time entry process has been relatively smooth. Pros Easy to use. Easy to search for Jira issues and log time against them. The reports by team, issues, and users are very helpful. Cons It would be great if the hierarchy from Jira Portfolio could be included that would allow you to pull the roll-up of time across the parent issue and the children issues below.
