Our experience has been great. The team behind Parcel Tracker have been a pleasure to work with and are the sort of open-minded individuals who take the time to understand what our specific needs are. They are also incredibly efficient in handling any issues when they arise, implementing quick fixes with no need for follow-up.

Pros

This software has completely streamlined our process, freeing up time for our front-of-house teams, as well as providing our residents with a quick and easy parcel collection process. It is very intuitive meaning it can be implemented and trained out quickly with little disruption to daily operational processes.

Cons

There isn't anything I dislike, however there is probably scope for additional tools... But I know Deepfinity are already looking at these.

Other solutions were considered, but they lacked the technological infrastructure when compared to Parcel Tracker. The team behind Parcel Tracker also demonstrated a number of attributes that meant they were the sort of company we wanted to partner with, namely: they're a forward thinking company with an entrepreneurial streak married with sector understanding and professionalism.

much better than the system we were previously using. Very easy to use as the system automatically generates a QR code which residents can scan and show proof of delivery. System automatically sends confirmation once they have signed and collected the parcel which helps to manage lost parcels

Good overall product and does what we need it to do for a reasonable cost. Good customer service. Real people with real answers and not some BOT.

Pros

Easy to upload lists and edit them as required. We have a concierge who is backfilled for vacation and sick time, so we need to teach new folks how to use the system all the time. Very intuitive and easy for us. We have variable periods of volume, so I switch between the free and paid subscriptions, so we only pay for what we need. I messed up on the billing cycle, but they refunded me for the months that we had low volumes.

Cons

Had one occasion where we ended up having to change the password. Not sure what the issue was or even if it was one of our temporary people that did something , but was easily resolved.

We changed to parcel tracker after using paper records for years, and the change to our workload and the student experience has been wonderful - it is so easy to view records, especially when we receive queries from students wanting to know where there parcels are!

Overall this software is excellent, it saves a lot of time, is very easy to use and gives you much more time to do other work. If they can just work it to recognise names a little bit better this would be a perfect product!

Pros

It is very easy to use, the user interface is good and it takes you minutes to learn what you need to do before you can start logging parcels. It emails residents automatically so all you need to do is scan the parcel and wait for the resident to come and collect it. You can get through stacks of parcels in minutes, this is saving me so much time I can now use to do other work. Collection is also very easy, the resident brings their QR code to you which will have been automatically sent to their email, you scan it and collect their package. Residents only have to sign once if they agree to this so this makes things even easier and very Covid friendly as you do not need to get multiple people to constantly touch the same device.

Cons

My only negative with this software is it does tend to struggle a lot with recognising international names. I often have to enter the room number or name manually to find the resident I need is these cases. It is very easy to find people manually so this is not a big problem but it can be a little frustrating sometimes.

It is nicely designed app and very user friendly. Student's really like that they just have to show the QR code and they can get their parcels easily. Using new technology even for small tasks shows that the company is modern and follows the trend, which is also good for the image of the company I work for.

Pros

Very user-friendly and straightforward app with nice design. Extremely modern approach of handling parcels. It makes the parcels look up easier by using the pictures we have to take when processing them and displaying the room numbers on the top. Very quick system, students are notified straight after we process their boxes. The QR codes can be scanned easily even with blurry, not well lid screens. Provides a very easy collection procedure. Easy to handle the recipients' email address changes on the phone.

Cons

You can scan the same parcel twice, the system does not recognise if you processed the parcel already. Anybody could collect the parcel if they had the QR code, so we had to start asking for IDs again to make sure students are not collecting each other's parcels. There is at least 3 of us during the day who handles parcels and it is time consuming to type in our email addresses and passwords every time we use the device after each other.

Pros

Our concierge at the reception saves so much of time by using the Parcel Tracker, it's very simple to use and the service has been amazing. The system was very easy to install and the customer support has been 5 stars! Love using the Parcel Tracker and will highly recommend it to everyone!

Cons

I wish the software was implement on many more buildings in UK so I can use one unique solution for everything.

Very happy, it does it's job and nothing more, it does what it needs to do and it does it with around 75% accuracy. I enjoy the simple and well designed interface as well as the active development and detailed data exports.

Pros

It keeps track of what I have and who has collected what and when. Great for Student accommodations and accusations of missing post as we can provide a real-time tine-line of the students collections. It also takes pictures when it recognizes a barcode. These pictures help greatly with locating and identifying missing packages.

Cons

The developer keeps changing how the scanner works, breaking it, often it struggles recognizing the code and therefore not taking the valuable picture. Some sites have the ability to take a picture of the package regardless of the barcode. I really like that feature.

Has made parcel tracking a lot easier at work, especially with the photos of the parcels as it helps locate parcels for residents also.

Pros

The simplicity is the best part for me, I just hold down a button and it'll scan all the information on the parcel and match it to the student for me and all I click is send

Cons

It can occasionally not notify the student but 99% of the time it doesn't lead to issues because of this as they're still aware they have a parcel through the courier notification.

I love it. Having a secure system which has a relative low cost But we are able to process many student parcels in an efficient way. The Students are happier knowing there parcel has arrived and they can come to reception at a convenient time which suites their needs

simple process to use this ap to confirm parcel delivery to 270 international students in the accommodation. It makes our job simpler by securing parcels quickly and sending an automatic email to the student that they have a parcel at reception. easy to understand by our international students. and it makes them happier that they don't need to keep coming to reception looking for a parcel.

Cons

The list of possible recipients on most parcels it goes directly On a few it goes to a default name. But its easy enough to search the correct name

Pros

Since our reception upgraded to the parcel tracker service, everything is now instant. It saves so much time and the concierge is now offering the parcels as soon as they arrive. It used to take a couple of hours “for processing” and now I get a notification and I have my parcels. I am really grateful parcel tracker exists in our life.

Cons

The integration was seamless, concierge was really happy to use it and transition was easy. I can’t wait to see what’s next.

Pros

Parcel Tracker sports an easy-to-use interface, requiring minimal training. The photo reader is accurate and quick to pull up the correct individual for each address. Automatic notifications to residents fast-track collection. The collection process is QR code driven, minimizing the need for extended administration.

Cons

When adding more than 15 - 20 parcels at a time the app can slow down, though this may be related more to the hardware than the software itself.

Easy to use and helpful functions such as images or parcels and can pull though signatures form previously accepted parcels which is superful.

Cons

Updates in the past have caused a bit of trouble with logging out/re-scanning already scanned parcels, however this seems to been fixed over the past year

Our experience with Parcel Tracker was simply 'Plug in and Forget'. Probably the most seamless installation process we have ever seen.

Pros

I think by far the best two things about this service are 1) customer service. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] has been extremely patient with us and helpful. 2) Being able to track multiple carriers with one app is so easy with Parcel Tracker.

Cons

App seems to be in early development and some features we would like to have are not currently implemented. The team is passionate and seems to be working hard, so we feel positive about this apps progress.

I was highly impressed. When ever i needed help i always received a prompt response regardless we are all on way different time zones. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] were FANTASTIC!

Pros

My favorite thing about parcel tracker was that i could scan the name on the package and it would find the correct person as well as scanning the tracking number to identify what it was. It was super easy to send emails track what was still sitting as well as send a follow up email letting them know they had a package waiting.

Cons

The only issue i had was we used multiple devices and computers so they didnt always sync but how we fixed this was to log out and log back in a few times a week so that way it would always be correct.

Overall, its very useful for my job. Makes tracking collected parcels easy. I also like that the automation system is quick. That is once a scanned parcel is submitted, recipients get an email almost immediately.

Pros

I like that it stores the history of parcels collected. I like that it also combines recipients into one QR code regardless of how many parcels a recipient has.

Cons

The new update does not take pictures automatically once scanned, instead it opens a new page asking you to take a picture. Its faster when as you scan it automatically takes a picture.

I don't know how we ever did without it

Pros

Uploading hundreds of individuals takes seconds (not days). Very user friendly for the somewhat tech savvy.

Cons

If a user does not use IT systems on a frequent basis it can take them a while to become accustomed to using the software.

There were many alternatives that we looked into but they seemed generic rather then bespoke to the solutions we required. The ParcelTracker team have thought of pretty much everything that is needed from a student and staff perspective!
