More-or-less efficient and good, of course it is dependent on a human picking up their email from an in box and during summer vacation that might lead to a delay in a reference being sent in good time for a new candidate.

Pros

Quick easy to obtain references provided employers are using email

Cons

If it is automated, there is the risk if someone is away the reference might sit in someone's in box.

As a referee contacted by them, it was straight forward and easy to complete

Cons

Had I been an employer seeking information from a referee, I think I would want more specific information. I can see this current system weeding out totally unsuitable candidates but I'm not sure it would give me enough to make a firm decision on a candidate

Easy, straight forward process with guided questions. Would have liked more information over who sees the reference - and a note of GDPR etc.

Pros

Easy to meet the requirement of the reference request - focused questions and the option to add more details.

Cons

It isn't clear from the process whether or not the candidate sees the reference (I would like this to be the case for full transparency). A notice over "who sees" the reference would be helpful + the opportunity to require the candidate to see what is written.
