We have been with Nookal for over 6 years. They have been promising us a client portal all year for release in September. September is here and of course we are now being palmed off. We feel cheated and lied to and the customer service is woeful. Our last email was sent a week ago and we have not received any response.

Pros

A range of useful integrations. Easy enough to navigate for first time users. Online booking has improved in the last few years.

Cons

No client portal for checking bookings which is particularly cumbersome for group classes. Really not designed for anything but 1:1 appointments.

Overall really enjoy using the software. Easy to learn, simple training videos and accessible online.

Pros

Nookal are always doing small updates based on feedback from users. The program is easy to book multiple appointments and classes. Different accessibility for admin, practitioners and management is a great feature. Cloud-based software so accessible online for practitioners to view their schedule out of the office. Can view the schedule multiple different ways which is great for planning purposes.

Cons

Accounts: The accounts section is not as simple as other programs I've used. Reports: The reports section doesn't have a true PVA measure (e.g. number of treatments each individual new patient has). It would be helpful if you could pull a report based on new patients per provider for a particular timeframe to see how many visits patients typically have). Changing provider schedules: Selecting the start and end times is frustrating as you can't type the time and have to slowly scroll past all of the times from 12:00am by 5 min increments.

We have only recently begun with Nookal so are getting used to the change of a new system. We have found this has been more quick and efficient for invoicing and payments however finding scheduling is now taking up more time. As a clinician, it has been a easy change however I have found it harder to create appointments and invoices.

Pros

The transition to Nookal has been easy for our company due to its easy to read format, ability to create templates applicable to our setting and clear headings for ease of access when locating appropriate information. I also like the range of colours, ability to see my own and co-workers schedules. Creating a customisable templates for notes that suits our setting has been a big plus as tick boxes etc have made it easier to time manage notes as a clinician. Invoicing and payments are quick and efficient.

Cons

A feature I would like to see Nookal have is ability to attach written or scanned documents to templated online notes. This means notes are kept with the same date and is handy for auditing purposes. When creating a series of appointments if you need to amend or change you need to change the appointments individually. Scheduling has been more difficult.

When there is a clinic note in the wrong case file, the process to change it to another case is a pain.

I have been able to take my experience with Nookal and integrate it seamlessly into my new workplace.

Pros

I am not exactly a computer proficient so I love how easy Nookal is to use. It saves so much clutter as well with all letters, scans, body charts etc at my fingertips.

Cons

In my previous place of practice the templates were set up by the team leader and it was time consuming to get them to return to adjust the parameters.

I've benefited from using Nookal and my organisational skills and productivity have really improved since using Nookal.

Pros

I really enjoyed the ability to be creative with Nookal and colour code tasks, appointments, notes, which has made my organisational skills enhance. I enjoy access to all documents and nookal notes and features such as pinning clinical notes, copy templates across and hide unwanted notes.

Cons

Difficulty move one note/appointment and drag it to another day in the week. I often have to delete that appointment or note and re-enter it in a different time slot or day.
