Great experience

Pros

The look and feel of the reports plus how i can combine all of my google products in one place (analytics, search console and firebase)

Cons

Manual input is super hard like if i just want to have the same UI of a square and write in it a manual number its almost impossible

Overall I was very satisfied with all the features. It great to have this application in my daily use routine.

Pros

The feature I liked the most about this application is that it makes it easy to create charts, visualization, dashboards, the connection between a large amount of data, and organized it to do proper research out of it. You also need no experienced to understand the feature of the application.

Cons

Some tools have limited features like visualization. Sometimes applications get slower which makes it difficult while handling a large amount of data. Overall there is no bug I found in the application

I happily took the initiative to move our company to have all automated reports coming out of Google Data Studio. - Reports are modern, visual yet insightful. - Almost all the needed metrics are offers. - Linking to your Ads, Analytics is simple, takes minutes. - Setting up automation is easy, takes less to none practice!

Cons

I wish there was a way to link Bing Ads account to have reporting come from Google Data Studio!

Pros

I like the feature that I can directly get my data from my Google Bigquery and create a good report for them. It has made it easier organise reports using the charts and tables.

Cons

It requires some level of expertise to be able to use. It is not beginner-friendly

Overall, I would only use it if the company had zero budget for dashboarding applications, and even then, I would possibly consider some code-based alternatives such as Streamlit. Yes, the learning curve would be steeper for new users, but it would absolutely pay off in the long term.

Pros

It is free, has some ready to use connectors to Google products that don't require writing code. That makes it friendly to users who are not as tech savvy.

Cons

Compared to Power BI, it is years behind. It is lacking in many customisation options, such as importing data using a script. It has fewer visualisation options. Joining several datasets is an absolute pain, or outright impossible depending on what you need.

Pros

Once you work out how to use Google Data Studio, it becomes extremely helpful, as it can produce real-time reports of website activity.

Cons

There's very little useful training available on how to use it. So many features, but limited instructions.

We wanted to use Google Data Studio to consolidate data from multiple marketing channels (Facebook Ads, Native etc.) to show all in one place. The main issue we had was the lack of first party connection to Facebook

Pros

Google Data Studio is an extremely powerful platform. It allows you to combine multiple data sources into a single dashboard, and to display this data in a multitude of ways

Cons

One of the main issues we had with Google Data Studio was the lack of first party connectors to other data sources, meaning that you often need to pay for third party connectors.

Well internally if you already have google is a good tool. But if you want to merge it with other tools and other connections I would recommend other kind of BI tool

Pros

If you use and have the suit of google. you can create really quick and easy you dashboards. Also the performance is really good among their connections to Bigquery

Cons

Lack of metrics functionality and aggregations that you need to do from the query side . Also visual customization are really poor for graphs

Pros

Excellent tool, it allows you analyze any time of data and plot it into different types of widget, charts, tables, etc. It is amazing what you can do and all the options you have to do a drill down in the data shown. Dashboards can be share with all the team at any time

Cons

Nothing at the time, we have get the most of the application. Too many options can be scary but then you understand all, you can report anything you want

Only reason not using this is it takes lot of time to load when files are huge.

Pros

Very good at collating data and presenting with multiple graphs and layout. Best for daily reporting and checking stats.

Cons

Very slow at loading data when file size is huge. Need more features with respect to pivots & more sorting options.

Pros

It's a great way to create nice looking dashboards based on my Google Analytics website data. I can share the link with my team and they can view results on a recurring basis.

Cons

It can be tricky to navigate and setup the dashboards. There is a learning curve to setup everything just the way you want to see it. Difficult to integrate external data.

I'm using Google Data studio to keep track of international SEO performance. It helps us keep overview of the most important metrics. It goes beyond what you can get out of Analytics in this way.

Pros

This tool makes it very easy to connect and display data from multiple sources. Some of the main benefits of this very powerful software: 1. It's easy to setup dashboards, you don't need any experience. 2. You can connect data from multiple points - for example Google Analytics and Google Search console. 3. Styling your dashboards is easy and you have a lot of options in it. 4. There are many many options to visualize the data in your preferred way.

Cons

The only downside for me was that it does not integrate with many other projects yet. I would like it to combine with my CRM system.

Pros

I love how easy this is to use. I am not “tech savvy” so I was nervous but it ended up being very easy to use!

Cons

I didn’t have any issues. Download was easy. Signing up was easy. I over all had a great experience

No other products were thought about. This was recommended online so I downloaded it because google products always work well for me!

Google Data Studio saves my time to create reports every month.I just need to setup report one time and need just change the date it took everything dynamically.

Cons

Sometimes due to connectivity it won't save the data and need to reload the page that result lost in some data.
