I have created several reports easily and pulled data into spreadsheets. Very user friendly regardless of which version you use and can seamlessly connect additional services. One of the best accounting sites available Pros This software is very easy to use, I have used both for LLC and Self Employed versions and can customize to what the clients need. Running reports for various needs is quick and easy. Cons Depending on the version and add on service that you use the 1099 reporting was a little more expensive than another service I found in recent years, but overall not an outrageous amount at all. I tend to go to gaming conventions and sometimes need to access the account to make payments or submit invoices to collect payments for our Business 2 Business services. Since it is all online I can do this with ease by just logging in and I have access to my financials. QuickBooks Online Helps me run my business without all the hassles of using multiple services or systems. Pros • Easy to set up with templates that help you get started fast. • Automatically connects to your business checking for integrated payment solutions. • No messy software installations to deal with as the platform is online so you simply log in to an updated interface any time there is new features added. • You can integrate your Payroll from a 3rd party directly into your account. • Since it is always online you can access it from anywhere with a connection, you can even have multiple users with access on at the same time. Cons • The support is somewhat limited, and I have experienced delays in the help I needed from time to time but overall it is very workable and seems to be getting better. • The software interface is somewhat different for the online version than the desktop version so if you go from one to the other it will require an adjustment, but it is not terrible. " May 18, 2019 5.0 The top benefit is that we have all the information we need for every customer of ours right in one place. As well as how easy it is to add new items to our inventory and keep track of them as they come and go. Pros I like the user friendly design, you just follow the steps such as create a customer, create a sales order, create a purchase order for any items that you are out of stock in, receive your purchase order items so it updates your inventory, adjust all items in customer sales order accordingly, once these have been done you finalize the order and email the invoice to your customer. Once all these steps have been completed and you received payment from the customer you mark the order as paid, and that is it you are now finished. Cons I was kind of just thrown into using this software not knowing anything about it, so it was a little difficult to understand how it is meant to be used. I did not have a lot of spare time to play around with it at first, but once we did mess with it we found that it does actually do almost everything for you. Review Source Jason C. The price is reasonable, and the system has a lot of great features that keep everything in order. Pros The online version of QuickBooks is great for data entry. It's much faster than the desktop version, and it also has rules and auto entries that take the tedious parts of accounting off my plate so that I can focus on more valuable tasks. For example, lately we've been focusing on improving our reporting processes to make them more efficient and accurate. Cons It can be frustrating when you know how to fix a payroll issue, but have to call customer support instead. I use it for my freelaning programming business and also for my Amazon FBA business. It definitely needs integration with TurboTax which is owned by Intuit. It does a good job of orgnaizing my books. Pros I like how easy it was to get started and use for multiple use cases and businesses. It is obviously the gold standard, used by most accountants and bookkeepers. Cons The UI is a bit clunky, but has been getting bette over the years. I wish it integrated with TurboTax so I can easily file my taxes. It is also a bit pricey. I sell wine wholesale and online (currently via shopify), and was looking for an inventory and sales management tool that would integrate with quickbooks or xero, that would allow me to track orders, most importantly when they have been packed and shipped. I chose Trade Gecko because of their focus on wholesale, and overall I've been pleased with the system. Pros Inventory management is very clear, easy to create and upload new products, and easy to track orders in progress. Customer service is quick and helpful, and they regularly add new and useful features like xero integration, and document templates. Cons Most of the cons are small issues that I would love to see improved but don't impact the overall usability. Page loading is sometimes slow. I would like to be able add tags to sales orders and invoices. Reports are a bit clumsy for me to understand as the search features are limited and it can be difficult to find what I want, though customer service is helpful in this regard. Some of the search and display functions could be improved (searches require exact match for SO049 rather than just 49 for example), and there's no feature to bulk export sales orders or invoices. However, all these things are not "make or break" and hopefully Trade Gecko will continue to add and improve as they have been doing. Pros I like that Quickbooks online has all the features a business needs to function. The payroll and A/P, A/R features are fairly easy to use. Cons QB seems to change the look of the site and move items to different locations frequently which can be frustrating when you log on and have to search for links. I wish you could make changes to checks and invoices easier. Lastly, I need to have vendors and clients with the same name as some of our people interchange and I have to add a middle initial to make that possible. Cons Because there are so many aspects and usage of the software the learning curve can be steep, but once you get the hang of it, it all becomes a breeze. They also have a direct connection to us the Accountant so that we can help when they have an issue or maybe they need us to run payroll etc. We also find that we can start tax planning earlier without asking the client for copies of their books and they can continue business as usual without any interruptions from us. Pros Ease of use and the ability to collaborate with my clients with out traveling or having to login to their computer. Having the system available in the cloud also provides safety for system crashes and the ability to work from multi locations as needed. Pretty much all I had to do was fill in the information where stated and QuickBooks did all the rest making sure that I had very professional documents. Pros If you run a small business or are self-employed, this is great to have. If you're like me and not great with spreadsheets, then this is what you need. Keeping track of things like payroll and inventory is a breeze. Cons The only reason that I didn't give this 5 stars is that I did have a few problems with the autocorrect. Sometimes it was hard to get it to recognize certain abbreviations that we used in our company.
