Cons QuickBooks Online can load rather slowly and be difficult to navigate, and as such has a bit of a learning curve. Hard to figure out how Journal entries work too. Review Source SE Sophia E. I would rather use this than any other platform. Overall this is a useful application but the company’s lack of interest in fixing issues and listening to its customers is maddening. Pros Invoicing, methods for customer outreach and follow-up, and ease of use. I like the shared Webb app approach to software management. Cons 1\. The way they keep changing things without notice which causes lost customization. 2. They fail to follow through on issues. I have had open issues for \*years\* that should have been resolved many months ago. 3. Constantly rising prices. " June 25, 2025 2.0 I realize that I am learning something different, but everything takes twice as long to do in QBO as apposed to QBD. My co-workers always know when I am working on a clients books that is in QBO, because I always am saying I hate QBO. Pros The only thing that I like about QBO compared to desktop is that you can access it from any computer. Cons QuickBooks Online is not near as user friendly as QBD. The reports are different. You can not have more than one report open at a time. Going back and forth is a pain. The drop down for the accounts is not in a friendly order. January 15, 2026 4.0 I had a great experience with QuickBooks, I liked the product, it was easy to use and the cost was fine but then when the price per a transaction almost doubled, it made me upset enough to find other avenues to take in money. Pros I loved how Quickbooks worked. It was easy, intuitive, I was able to find what I needed the majority of the time and there was good support. Cons That you almost doubled the amount charged per a transaction in one year. My charges went from $7 to $12 per transaction and I can do it on Nickel for free so we switched. Now I was strait As in accounting in school but I couldn't figure the darned thing out! I gave up! So I was skeptical when Quickbooks online came out. I reluctantly tried it and boy have they come a long way! Much more user-friendly than back in the 1990s!! Night and day!! Pros I love being able to see where my companies are at a glance! I can see what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong in seconds! Cons For some reason, the link between Paypal and Quickbooks keeps glitching out thus making a mess of transactions going through Paypal. Review Source Justin W. I love being able to upload attachments so they are stored electronically with the transaction! If I have an issue with something it’s impossible to get it resolved with customer service and I have to figure it out on my own Pros I like that it is web based and reports are easy to run and export. Paying bills is also easy and user friendly. Cons This product is extremely glitchy and can be slow. Also customer service is absolutely terrible. Super unhelpful. " October 27, 2025 5.0 I think it can be trusted , hours logs, payments and taxes everything is well noted without space to claims. I have been used to issues with the system cutting my paycheck by their own technical issues before and this had not happened with quick books . Pros It is clear and keep records from the paystub of each, easily to be download at anytime needed. The interface provide a on overview, a kind of financial report of the money distribution which become helpful to understand. It is great to have on single place to have all payment related. I especially appreciate the clean look and layout of the dashboard. Overall this promotes ease of navigation. Pros QuickBooks Online is user friendly and fairly easy to navigate. This definitely promotes my operational efficiency on a day-to-day basis. Cons While I appreciate the added security, I do get frustrated at times when sessions time out and I have to login and authenticate multiple times throughout the day. I had a great onboarding call with the team, and my issues were always resolved quickly and professionally. Pros Quickbooks is such a great intuitive platform. You can really tell that they know how to deliver on their clients' needs. Cons The only issue really was the cost. Pros Integration with our nonprofit CRM - transfers all the information with one click. Plus linking to bank accounts transfers all transactions easily. Quickbooks also offers friendly nonprofit disacounts which we greatly appreciate! Cons There are so many screens! I have no experience with other book keeping software to compare to though. Pros I like that it integrates with Jobber. I use Jobber for all of my invoicing so having it bring over the data seamlessly is nice. Cons I find some of it confusing. Searching for transactions is not always intuitive. Pros The efficiency and the ease of use as a small business owner. It tracks everything so easily who can argue with that! Cons The customer service is horrible. Not much help and spend lots of time on the phone figuring out the issue. Pros What I like most is that I can categorize every single transaction to help me and the team stay on budget and it helps guide our company in knowing where the funds are being spent on. Cons I don't like that the website itself opens many tabs and looks very busy. It can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes it lags.
