Cons Sometimes it loses my data, so I have to backup every time I use it. Pros It was super easy to set up and use. And it is very easy to train new employees even if they are new to the hotel business and/or have no accounting background. Cons So before we got it fully integrated to our POS it was super easy to make manually data entry that led errors and a whole new report would have to be made The only start up trouble I had was getting it going with the POS. And I had to call customer care a few times and not only did it take forever to get someone on the phone, The suggestion they gave me were not correct I ended up googling it. My accountant has access which makes bookkeeping and accounting a breeze. Cons QuickBooks has been applying increases in fees on a continuous basis. Although I understand that costs increase I feel that they are continuously increasing costs with no real explanation or increased value for the money. Pros Quickbooks is the leading standard in accounting software, and for good reason. Quickbooks has allowed our company to manage our accounting in house and produce financial reports, readily available for our project and quarterly meetings. Having our team be able to track their hours on their devices makes it easier to log hours and have them approved on time for payroll. The visual expense charts allow us to view at a glance our finances without having to delve into a slue of information to extrapolate key information. Cons While having a myriad of options available on QuickBooks Online, it does lack some of the features available in the desktop version. There are limited customization option which has mostly been ok for us as we have integrated the system gradually. February 13, 2025 5.0 Before Quick Books Online, i was audited twice. it was when i first started my shop, but still, its terrifying thinking ive got to show proof to irs of every cent spent, made, and everything invested in my business and am able to do so with QBO! ive been a faithful client for them now almost four years and plan on continuing to do so for years to come. especially starting out, its hard to afford an accounting rep for small companies, so this is most helpful Pros being able to be my own financial advisor, manage finances, all day every day all year instead of one time a year also tracks spending vs profit vs loss by keeping record books for accounting part of my business plus i can do myself instead of hiring hands to help. it is desktop and mobile, and easy to use with support available anytime. Cons it does cost more than most, but as you see from my rating, its worth it. id rather pay to do it right than uncle \[sensitive content hidden\] come back haunting me with audits each year. Cons When a beginner need assistance on correctly categorizing transaction without the assistance of a CPA or a Bookkeeper. Once learned it is better, but at first lots to learn for a small business. We switched recently and have been using this for almost the full last quarter. We are still learning but we have been very happy with the tools so far. Pros Little pricey on the front end but saves a lot of paperwork time. Integrates with almost all software. Everything in one spot. It has cut down a lot of our payroll time and scheduling. Whether its on a PC or a cell phone quickbooks is really easy layout to use. Although more expensive service Cons Customer service has been very helpful but you do bounce around a bit and talk to a few people before they can get you to the right place. Never fear once you get the right department they are very good at getting your problem resolved. QBO allows us to quickly prepare high quality bids and invoices for customers with minimal formatting hassle. Cons The accounting side of QBO is not nearly as user-friendly. Pros It works quite well in terms of integration of it to both your financial institutions for both credit cards and deposits. Also works quite well with integration to our OSS/CRM systems. The information flows between the system seamlessly and timely with accuracy. Cons There are issues/bugs with matching posted client payments with the bank deposits. I love how easy it is to reconcile books at the end of the month, the invoicing feature is great, and Intuit's customer support is easy to get in touch with and very responsive. Cons I wouldn't say there is anything I like least about it, but as any business, there are bugs that can be fixed.
