IT Consultant Information Technology and Services Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "QuickBooks - A Self-Emplyed IT Guys Perspective" August 19, 2024 4.0 Overall, it has been a huge help to my business, saving me hours each month of having to manually check for paid invoices, and when sending them stragith from the site once created. The receipt tracker is great and was the main reason I chos QuickBooks as I tried others the weren't as fast, or good at extracting information from receipts correctly. Pros The Receipt Tracker is great. I can upload/email receipts/invoices to my account or take pictures of them on my phone, and QuickBooks will extract the information in them for me saving me hours of time each month tallying up my expenses. Being able to link my accoun to my Bank Account is great as it helps when marking invoices as paid. I don't have to manually check my bank account t osee if each invoice was paid saving hours each month. The reporting features are great for quick looks at how your business is running over the month/months. Cons The site is slow responding to clicks and loading. It does not allow you to use your own domain when sending invoices, which can cause issues as they can be blocked as spam on some clients filters. Some things can only be done on the website or the app, and not both. I recommend this to any smaller business, it helped us in many ways and made us way more organized and prepared for our growth! Cons sometimes the multiple authentication is annoying. You have to already understand how accounting works or your file will be a mess. Rather than having all of our satellite locations send in raw data to our central office to be processed then entered, we have been able to train our offsite managers in how to enter payments and other information. The checks and balances provided assures that we are not having payments “disappear,” and it also has allowed us to reallocate resources to more vital areas. Pros Quickbooks is the standard bearer for accounting software. The online version that we recently transitioned to provides all the functionality and support that we had become accustomed to, with the added bonus of being able to be deployed across multiple platforms, applications, devices, and locations.
