Pros

We use this mostly to keep track of sales. The online version is great for this, though the mobile app version leaves something to be desired. We mostly keep track of sales receipts, invoices, and expenses. I really like that it pulls expenses and deposits in from your credit cards and bank accounts.

Cons

The banking and reconciliation is hard to figure out, I was never able to get my credit cards right even with youtube tutorials. I finally had to let my accountant take over. The mobile app version of this also needs some polishing. It doesn't work quite right, you're not able to copy and paste, and it doesn't have some of the data options (so when you go back to the online desktop version it will have auto-filled them... incorrectly).

Pros

Easy of use, it helps me manage my finances anywhere any time, the reporting helps me to make good financial decisions.

Cons

Import tool make can be a bit tricky and some Banking CSV's required more time editing them before you can load them in the banking centre.I can't split expenses on the recipient capture feature.

The best things I'll admire, is the customers service ability and its simple using of it, I've had a little of trouble with some customers but Quickbooks just made up the difference, and the fast ease with delivering all the invoices, and using it didn't make a problem to the main business, Which is great to complete everything the way you need it

Pros

It's the simple, not complicated using, and the software of it is just a waterfall dripping with its ease and speed, beside this, its customer service is just brutal and provide their comfort, and the B2B platform just what the customers would want to have, Which is so helpful for both sides, easy to access, simple to use, not having any problems with pleasing the customers, it's just the best option

With all the simple using of it, at some points it need a little more details,and on the other hand, its support not able to support cart over specific problems

Overall I love Quickbooks Online and recommend it to all small business owners that I know! It's been a huge help for my business in getting our accounting organized, without having to hire a book keeper. Invoicing has never been easier, as it keeping track of income and expenses. It's perfect at tax time and helps keep us on track to get as many deductions as possible. It's simply the best of it's class...

Pros

The interface of Quickbooks Online couldn't be better. It easily links to your bank accounts and starts to understand your accounting categories right away. It's super customizable and the features are in depth and thorough. I love how intuitive (no pun intended) the software is overall. It's also great that it's online so you can login from anywhere, including on an app, to track everything.

Cons

The only real limitation I can think of with the software, is sometimes weird errors can happen with your balance sheet / income statements. Everything really needs to be exactly dialed in , otherwise errors can happen and throw things off. While this is probably due to human error, for someone like me who is not an accounting expert, this can be frustrating to figure out where things went wrong...

### "Crucial Part of Any Successful Business"

I have been able to do much better cost-analysis and budgeting using QB. My company's "health" can be monitored regularly that shows me things such as what expenses I need to cut or reduce or what types of services should I be selling more of that show higher profitability. Overall, I am very happy and will continue to learn and utilize it every day. Thanks Intuit!

Pros

The best features of this software is that it is WEB-BASED and my bookkeeper can CONTINUALLY UPDATE it so that I have real-time data. Quickbooks (QB) SYNCS VERY ACCURATELY with my current CRM system for sales and scheduling which provides me with the ability to create reports from QB that I can use when analyzing profit/loss and balance sheet info.

Cons

The software is relatively easy to use, but I would like to see MORE VIRTUAL ASSISTANCE so that I can use more of the many features that QB has that can help my business.

Overall, the program is great for what its use is meant for. The pricing could be a bit more fine tuned.

Pros

This software helps me critically in my day-to-day operation of my Tax and Accounting business.From the detailed types of reports that you can create and view to the adaptability of the invoicing and how you use payments.The team support for this software is also ASTOUNDING AMAZING!

Cons

Seems lately that the pricing keeps going up and up within small periods of time, but no extra features or anything of the like added to warrant increases of this multitude. When the world is getting more expensive it is hard to have to charge more repeatedly over a small time period. Clients also get upset and this can lead to loss of business as well.

Cloud based accounting. Reliability. Various user roles is nice.

Pros

It's up time is tremendous. It's prettier than it used to be and getting a little prettier by the year. (The Benjamin Button of Software). It doesn't crash in the middle of doing stuff. Their support is very responsive. API plugins. Yeah, high marks, mostly.

Cons

3 things: 1. Emailing invoices. They don't have good alerts for when you have a bad email address for a customer and this can kill. 2. They don't have a way of automatically adding late payment penalties into the invoicing process. We had to plug in some outside software through an API to effectively deal with this. 3. Somewhat related to #2, it seems weak on automated collection efforts to me. 4. I've pointed out a bug to them twice and it is still not fixed, 3 yrs or more later. Silliest thing. Used to work beautifully, but when they got prettier, it doesn't work anymore. What? Adding on another invoice to pay to a vendor after you have come to the payment process through the "Pay Bills" process. It wants to subtract instead of add. (the most odd thing) (they hae offered work arounds that are not viable and just won't get it fixed.. or haven't) 5. The block "Ctrl Clicking" in places when it would be really handy to open multiple tabs when editing a bunch of stuff. This forces you to come back to the list, and search again and again instead of keeping the searched list in place. Maybe there is some reason for this burdensome navigation.

### "Don't Use Quickbooks Checking"

While Quickbooks is a solid booking-keeping service, I'm finding quite a few not-so-great points. 1. They are constantly trying to sell to you. Even when you already have a paid subscription. All you see are Ads and get promotional emails. 2. For those of you considering using Quick Book Checking- Don't do it. It just leads to more frustration than the 1% interest is worth. (Linking an external trusted bank account works just fine). Quickbooks checking sounded like a good idea, because hey.. why not have everything consolidated right? Wrong. First off- You can't send money to people without first upgrading to their Bill Pay option. (A feature that comes free with other business banking accounts) Second- Your debit card gets declined continuously, and getting a hold of customer service is a pain. And when you do, it's hard to understand them, because they don't speak clear English. I was trying to pay invoices- and I couldn't because my card was getting declined. (I had PLENTY of money in there to make these payments) When calling Customer service, after 45 minutes on the phone with them- I had to get switched over to an actual Green Dot Bank representative. Who told me the problem was resolved, and that my card was getting declined for "Protection". Yet... no indication was made letting me know that. Normally other banks send a notification asking if you're attempting to make a transaction...Not this account. They just leave you in the dark. No notifications. No Text Mes

Pros

Quickbooks is a solid bookkeeping service- I'm finding quite a few not-so-great points. Please see my "Describe your overall experience" comment.

Cons

The Customer service is seriously lacking. And Quickbooks Checking is terrible.

I personally would never recommend QBO based on how they run their company, the support they offer, and the constant software issues

Pros

It looks pretty. Don't get me wrong, QBO looks nice on paper and on the screen. The advertise a lot!

Cons

They have the among the worst support I have ever dealt with. In the past, I have called them up 5 times about a specific glitch, and I got 5 different answers all contradicting each other. I have caught them doing some major unethical advertising and pricing. They have charged clients of mine without warning them. They have removed functions and doubled the prices on clients to get them to pay more I have caught them sharing client information outside of their permissions. It is VERY easy to make a mistake in QBO and VERY difficult to fix it. I believe they have tehir priorities backwards.

Overall experience is good after we got everything squared away with our desktop version.

Pros

We were using QuickBooks desktop. Once we found out that they would be suspending support, we decided to convert. After the conversion, we have been able to pull reports, create invoices, and consolidate all months with no issues.

Cons

Converting from the desktop version to online was not as easy as promised by the sales rep. We had to input all of our accounts by hand, a project that took months of unexpected work.

### "Worthless If Migrating from Desktop with Estimates"

Here's part of what I wrote to my salesperson, there wasn't room for the whole email: You should be ashamed of yourself – or perhaps your company should be ashamed if you were not trained properly. I have wasted multiple hours discovering that Quickbooks Online is not going to work for me UNLESS I am willing to run two sets of books for a very long while. You did not ask me if we do progress invoicing. That is the core of our business. Yes, progress invoicing is possible via online, but the information does not convert from Desktop to Online. The suggestion from support was to create estimates for the remaining balances in the Online version. We have sooo many customers who are on estimates, and they are not going to accept some bastardized version where the previous billed amount is not accurate. SOOOO in order to make online work, I need to start new estimates on the Online side and keep the Desktop version active for as long as I need to invoice out the old customers. Some of my jobs go back FOUR years right now. Two sets of books = problems, and I am not going to do that for the next three plus years. I understand that ultimately you are simply a salesperson trying to meet your quota, but you – or your company – are doing the service industry a HUGE disservice. You should be required to inquire about the nature of the business, how they use the Desktop version, and then inform the consumer of the hiccups. You did not do that.

Pros

NOTHING - It's far inferior to the desktop version.

Cons

I use the desktop version for my core business and the online version for the non-profit I volunteer for. The online platform is ick in comparison to the desktop, but I wanted to trade in the desktop for the online version for ease of use. I felt like I knew what I was getting into since I've been using it for the non-profit. BUT ALAS, AFTER THE MIGRATION, I will be going back to the desktop version. We are in a service oriented business and use progress invoicing almost exclusively. Guess what? The estimates come over as closed and their previous billings are NOT linked. Completely worthless. All support could suggest is to revise the estimates with the amounts remaining - does that sound like a adequate solution. NO. I'd have to run two sets of books - one online and one dummy desktop to get my billing done, creating new estimates on the online version and waiting until all my jobs bill out before I would be exclusively online. Complete BS.

Online access for multiple users, being able to access real-time data. QBO integrates with many other platforms, thereby allowing for an increase in synergy and efficiency. Great canned reports come standard. The option to create your reports is also available.

Pros

QBO is simple to use, and new upgrades and features are constantly being rolled out. Amazing tech support, very helpful.

Cons

Sometimes, when new features are rolled out, it’s challenging to track all the changes that have taken place.

The reason I chose QuickBooks was it was the only software available at the time I went to a big box store and bought the CD Quickbooks on it many years ago and I have stayed with QuickBooks ever since

Very poor. I have been a longtime customer of Quickbooks (8 years +) and I expected much better and fast customer support. This matter should have been dealt with within 24 hours. It has been 3 weeks that I have been locked out of my account due to a backend error with Quickbooks 2 factor authentication.

Pros

Not happy with Quickbooks customer support

Cons

Extremely poor customer service and poor backend support. My 2 factor authentication code stopped working on my account (stopped receiving on my phone) , and I have been locked out of my account for 3 weeks plus. As a small business I rely on daily access to my accounting software and being locked out of my account has been very detrimental to my business. Quickbooks has not offered any assistance in resolving this matter and as such I would not recommend their services to any small business.

One of the best accounting software with some added features. The online advanced version has been getting somewhat frequent updates, sometimes it's just cosmetic though versus the needed updates. When we work in larger invoices/estimates, the software seems to have an incredible lag (i troubleshot all our hardware, it's on the QBO side) One good side note pertaining to this, I've been able to get in touch with some of the QBO team that is closer to the development side that has helped me. Customer service used to be horrible and has gotten better if you just go through the standard channels. If you get connected with the development and feedback team you're better off. QBO Advanced does have priority circle with your own contact, and depending on the person you get that can be a great asset to you. My current one is amazing. So overall good enough to stay with QBO, but always looking to see what's out there to see if it's a better fit.

Pros

The online capability of Quickbooks Online is a great feature, and probably why we chose this product specifically from the Quickbooks line. It's a good chunk of the features a small business needs from the heavy hitting Quickbooks product team, without being cumbersome or outdated. Their interface is easy to navigate and to understand.

Cons

The product support is essentially non-existent. We've tried to reach out to support with questions and it's taken an unacceptable amount of time to get an email response back, often times without providing any resolution. We even tried to upgrade to a tier with better support, and was still met with the same slow and incomplete responses so we downgraded back to our original plan.

You get what you pay for. For the price, it is helpful in keeping track of company expenses and overall profit & loss.

Pros

I do enjoy how easy it is to issue a PO's, invoices, enter expenses and bills, receive payments etc.

Cons

When we did use QB for payroll, I do not like how we were not able to track time across projects. I would need to enter a separate Time Activity in order to cost individual projects. QB has not made project management very easy.

Pros

It makes me look iconic using it, I feel like a businessman , I use it to buy all of my music awards.

Cons

It kinda looked iffy and like a scam at first, but I got used to it.
