Pros I appreciate that QuickBooks Online offers an all-in-one platform for small business bookkeeping solutions Cons There are constant updates, which can be a good thing, but things can change at a moment's notice. It is a good accounting software that makes sure that all your accounting work is not only in order but professionally acceptable. Pros The software has got features such as the invoice creation that are much easier to use and takes little time to juggle. The payroll feature has fastened up the process of making sure that all the employees have got their payrolls on time and in a manner that is professional. There is more a can talk about with regards to the features related to this software. But what I can say is that Quickbooks is a savior amongst saviors. Cons One thing about the software that I did not like is the constant subscription fee, that's what I could say for now. Pros I am obsessed with the dashboard and tracking my paid invoices. I also love that it integrates with my project management system (ActiveCollab) so I can easily import my team's hours and bill my clients accordingly. Cons When I do import details into the invoice system it can come in a bit messy -- I have to edit the details and that can be a bit of a hassle. I do wish there was a way to import all hours from one project into one line item without losing the notes detail. Pros The ease of performing bank reconciliations and generating the associated reports. Cons The drill down features to find checks to see if they were voided is not always the easiest. However, I am sure the more I use it the better I will be as I only use the product on a monthly basis. As the accountant, the bookkeepers are the employees generally using the product on a daily basis. September 22, 2020 5.0 As an end user I had very few complaints. Sometimes making US and CAD invoices for the same client (who purchased multiple services) was a pain, but perhaps that's unavoidable. Pros Clean UI. The features were easy to use and learn and the software seemed to work smoothly. I really had no complaints for my usage, which was basic. Cons We didn't have it connected to our CRM. September 13, 2018 5.0 TradeGecko has really helped us crack down on lost inventory, keeping special pricing accurate, and making sure that we're getting paid for the inventory being shipped out. This is exactly what we needed and we're very happy with the product and service! Pros The clean look of this program isn't just for looks, it's incredibly user friendly and intuitive. One of the biggest pros though is that they are continually updating the program and improving the use and functionality of the software. They're also very easy to communicate with and give feedback to if you can possibly think of an additional feature. We use this program in a slightly less traditional way and their team has been great about making sure it fits our needs in the way we use it. Cons We've used this software since "the beginning" unfortunately that meant that when they got a little bigger, we did see a significant price increase. That being said, though the pricing is a little high, it is still worth it for our use. Occasionally there are some small bugs but they usually get squashed quickly since they update so frequently. It doesn't require much to use the software. I personally anyone can use the software and manage a business. Cons I dislike only the desktop version of quick books, due to it being slow to lunch. Love having access where-ever and multiple people able to access it. QBO is much less feature rich than QBD. But, with QBD, you have to either log into a server, or remote desktop. It's stuck in the 90's. So, to make it even work, we had to get a plugin to manage our inventory and orders. If QB Desktop version would move online, it would definitely be a 30 year leap back to the present. Pros Quickbooks is easy to use, widely known, and priced affordably. Good for a small business. Having it online was a necessity. Having it link to bank accounts so smoothly is nice. Cons If it's not the QB way, you have NO WAY. They are not interested in helping with any needs of YOUR business. If your business doesn't fit into THEIR way, too bad. But, overall, they have a good program that fits most of your business needs. i.e. If you want sales orders and inventory management - you might as well be asking a rock. i.e. If you want to use your own credit card processor, they will force extra steps on you and take away features and functionality. It's extremely friendly for non-accountants. - At the end of the year, you will easily find many certified QuickBook accountants who can do your business taxes by simply inviting them to your account - Large community with many Q&A available in their public forums. If you run into unusual situations, the community will help you correctly record it in your account. They're friendly to beginners and those who are not familiar with tax laws. - Lastly, most impressive, when I decided to shutdown my business. QuickBooks Online had a feature to export all of your finances and records! Other competitors who I had tried in the past, had only "import" feature and then they lock you in by not allowing you to export or view your records unless you pay the monthly subscription fees. QuickBook has really impressed me with this ethical mindset. Cons \- I was unhappy that they somewhat made it a hassle to reach support by making it available via phone only. With busy schedule, I appreciate writing my inquiries via email and forget about them to focus on my other tasks. Being able to categorize every transaction makes things so much easier. No need to type everything in manually! Reconciling is a breeze! Cons There's a huge learning curve for this software. However, they have great customer support. In the beginning, I had to stay on the phone with them for a long time to learn how to use it. Sometimes, customer support doesn't know how to use the software specifically for your needs, but they usually do a great job! Having a live sync to our bank accounts and then being able to easily reconcile using Quickbooks Online's reconciliation tool made bank recons a breeze! Cons I was not fond of the accounts receivable capabilities and rigidness. I can upload my transactions directly from my bank and code them as they are uploaded. I use it for tracking income and expenses, sending invoices and running reports. I love the payroll function which saves me money because I don't have to pay the accountant to file my tax documents. Pros I like being able to use the online service where I can log in anywhere I have internet access. This gives me the option to work remotely.
