Over time, many times there are more and more programs that can be integrated into it. It gives you the necessary details you need if you take the time to set it up correctly. Pros QuickBooks is fantastic, you can use the desktop program and it is also possible to store information in the cloud, which allows remote access. Businesses can view their accounts from any access point and can use multiple users. I love that clones and invoices can be attached to accounts payable. Each one is in one place and I calculate less on paper bills. Cons Sometimes it is difficult for us to work with our accountant, since she only knows the desk interpretation, and when she asks us to make a change, it is difficult for her to explain how to do it because the system is different. I love that there's online available training to further help me understand how to keep a proper account of my company's financial status and I appreciate the customer service that 's available to me with a click of a button. The bugs that would surface from time to time were dealt with in a quick manner. Tax questions were addressed and updates with State Sales Taxes have been implemented. I'm thankful for this team that is behind QuickBooks Online. Cons Quirks with invoice/bill formats or third party apps having issues. Bill.com - If you can find another app to use, I recommend you do. Bill.com don't have customer support at all. The phone number on their Facebook page says, "check the number and dial again." Pros It does everything we need it to do and some. It helps keep our expenses in line and helps us set everything up correct for when our accountant needs the info come January. Cons Most features are really nice. The thing I like least is the price. It is very easy to use and lots of reporting, invoicing, customer follow up for past due payments, for example, can be automatically scheduled. Pros As a Quickbooks Desktop user for many years, Quickbooks Online allows me to work from anywhere. In a world where we are moving online, and working from home more often, it is very convenient to be able to access information at home and on the go. My favourite feature is the recurring transactions that get sent out on a set schedule. It saves me time and allows me to focus on other items that need more attention. I can also easily send out reminders for overdue payments which is very helpful. Cons I don't like that Quickbooks Online times out after five minutes of non-usage. Sometimes, I am in between screens and other programs and when I get back to it, I am already logged off. The good thing is that I can easily sign back in (the computer saves my log in credentials) but the bad thing is that it doesn't always log in completely - meaning that some data/connectivity is lost. I often get error messages (shoes are untied, etc.) and have to completely close my browser and open it again to ensure a complete and successful log in. It's meant that I can access the accounts from anywhere and also send out invoices and track payments with ease. Pros Being able to bookkeep and oversee the entirety of the companies accounts including money in and money out. Every feature is so slick and easy to use. Cons As someone who was relatively new to bookkeeping online it was quite difficult to understand some of the backend of quickbooks and more online tutorials may have been more helpful. It's very easy to navigate and has changed our business ever since we signed up. The expense tracking and the ability to connect to my business bank account and download all transaction seamlessly is amazing to me. Cons The expenses part could be scary at first due to how much there is it but overall there isn't really any cons to this platform. Pros The ability to confirm check numbers. If a provider calls about a missing check, I am able to look for the check number, check date, and check amount in quickbooks. It is also easy to locate all the checks for one provider with the search function. Cons There were multiple users in our office that would logon to the quickbooks account. Cons It is very easy to use, I didn't find it so complicated especially with my ADHD problems cz to be honest I usually suffer to understand, but with Quickbooks it's very simple and very flexible to nevigate. Cons My main con is that they still have not updated QBO online to allow a signature image to be uploaded and used on checks so that you don't have to manually sign each check. I am so used to not having to sign my checks that I have accidentally mailed out unsigned checks! Surely, this feature can be added by now? I also HATE to price of QBO. We have used the software after switching from another payroll company that took weeks to get back to us. So far it has been intuitive and the cost is well within what is reasonable. The add ons are something we are still exploring. I have to say that I wish I would have switched a while ago. Cons Nothing yet. So far it has alll been fairly seamless. Nice to not have to worry about that processing, except when there's an issue. Invoicing and payment processing work well, especially the matching feature in the bank feed. Pros QuickBooks is the industry standard, and it's easy to use on a laptop or mobile device. Finding answers to your questions is pretty simple, either through their integrated help section or through online forums...enough people use it that the forums usually help you find an answer to your question, no matter how obscure. It easily connects to your external bank accounts, credit cards, and mobile payment services like PayPal, too. As a publisher, I use a CRM that integrates easily with QuickBooks. I handle invoicing and payments through my CRM, and with the click of a button, everything is sent to my QB account. Makes it very seamless and easy. Cons The transaction rates are a little higher than I would like, so I don't use QB for processing credit card payments. Other than that, for my needs as a small publisher, it fits the bill. " April 17, 2021 3.0 Overall, I am underwhelmed. I even took lessons and watched videos and had an accountant tutor me. I just don't find it very easy to work with for my needs. Pros I use this with eVetPractice. It was very easy to link up. My transactions are downloaded daily which is great - but there are a few frustrating snafu's. If I sell a client a packaged product (ex. neuter package) , it doesn't get downloaded into QB and I have to hand enter the entire transaction. Cons There is a disconnect in sales tax between eVetPractice and QB. So, I have to HAND FIX every wrong entry which is usually a single penny off. I assume it is because they calculate tax slightly differently. I wish QB would just honor the sales tax that I actually charged (ie the amount downloaded from eVet) instead of trying to override with their own as it creates a LOT of extra work. Also, the program won't work at all as a app. I called and spoke to customer service and they said not to download or use the app and to just go to a search engine to log in everytime.
