Mostly my decision was based on the lack of support Pros I like that you can make a class for every project and see at a glance how much you have spent and income earned on that specific project each time. Cons Quick books on line is not as easy to find checks or run reports when needed. I found Quickbooks desk top to be much more user friendly. Pros I really like the bank reconciliation here because it automatically feeds on the software what I am going to do is correct the entry of every transaction it is hassle-free. Cons maybe more improvement on the dashboard, for me it needs more improvement but this would not affect my work. Cons There are some features that are "clunky" or difficult to use. Some features are not necessary for the basic subscription level and may leave the user confused or overwhelmed with attempting to navigate the software. It pleased that the developers introduced a multi-user mode - it's great to simplify the work, when I can distribute tasks between employees and monitor their implementation. Cons The program is presented only in English, but these are trifles. The main question to the developers is why there is no notice whether the personal data is being collected. Cons Support -- regardless of the cost of your annual subscription level -- is the WORST. They respond late, often have to "research" the issue further (code for: I don't want to fix it, so I am going to punt it to another team -- and they will punt it to another team -- and madness will go on for months, and they will ultimately write back with another punt -- it's now our issue, you should check with xyz outside company -- which is really where you started as they had made the punt before and that was the wrong answer). QuickBooks -- If you want loyal customers who will continue paying your ever higher annual fees and rave above the software BE PREPARED TO SUPPORT the apps you enable in your app store -- like Amex, Expensify, etc. -- and make sure your OWN software functionality to disconnect those apps ACTUALLY WORKS! Pros QuickBooks is an easy way to manage your every day finances. QuickBooks runs online without a hitch during this work from home time. Any of the reports can be customized to meet your needs or time frame. Also reports can be exported into excel for additional customization. Cons The only negative is on the budgeting module. It is very easy to create a budget very good to watch it here to date. It should be more customizable in a year over year tracking. I have to manually customize the comparisons To the prior year when I am working on a budget prior to year end. Reason for choosing QuickBooks Online It was chosen for the ability to have all parishes be on the same platform and to be able to roll up all the numbers instead of printing out separate reports. Pros I had been a client-based user and my CPA and I would exchange files which were awful but QB Online has made this and my interaction with my CPA simply fantastic! The features and capabilities are broad and the reporting is deep. Project-based billing/expense management is still a pain but this is more of a process issue on our end. Using software that is put out by a company always looking to improve is important to me. Quickbooks online is subscription based but worth it since I can access my invoices and banking anywhere anytime. The desktop version works great for the printing company I work for and being able to seamlessly move from estimate to invoice is a huge plus for us. Pros I like that I can create an estimate for my client and seamlessly turn it into an invoice and email it out in one easy platform. Cons Navigation on the desktop version is a little more complicated than QB Online, I use both for two different companies and definitely prefer the online layout. I do not invoice customers as we sell direct to the consumer not b to b. I could integrate it with my POS system but there is an extra fee to do this that is not worth the cost for us at this time. Pros It is straightforward and easy to use. Pulls the reports I need seamlessly. I also have the payroll service which rocks! If I ever have an issue or question the customer service team is super responsive and quickly resolves issues or answers questions. Cons It needs to have an easier way to clean up old accounts I'm no longer using. Pros The first thing that made me use this service is the ease of use. It is simple, quick to learn and provides accounting reports which really matter. Cons There are a few business-specific features missing which I understand because it is built to attract the public at large. More transactions and inputs can really create a mess in the system.
