The software is intuitive enough to let that happen for me. Pros I have used this software for many years at different churches. It is easy to learn, easy to install and does not bog down the PC's it is installed on. Cons In my opinion any of the cons I have had has been corrected with updates that are done with the software. AVS lets me take shorter video clips, or a library of video clips and splice them together, add sound or voice over. That's pretty much all I need. Pros The video editing process is very straightforward and easy to figure out on the fly. With some of the other software I tried to use, the learning curve was very steep, AVS Video editor is much more intuitive. Cons I pretty much liked every part of this software. No complaints. The format and command structure were easy to pick up, as I had been using the audio editing software for years. That was 56 hours of teaching. The DVD's in some cases were corrupted so we had to redo them. Once I got them formatted correctly the copying to jump drive became easy Pros I like the quality of the final product. It was equal if not better than the original. It also has a lot of different options that you can use. I have not tried them all out yet but I am sure they will be as good as what I have already used. Cons I am not well equipped to do a lot of things on the computer so I had trouble understanding how it worked. I had to have a lot of help getting started. It would not copy some of the DVD's because they were not formated right, Reason for choosing AVS Video Editor My daughter has been using AVS for a long time and she said it was the best software that she had found for the price and I agree. The biggest flaw with this software is only being able to use the effects on the one layer. This is a MAJOR flaw that limits what you can do with it dramatically. Pros The interface is very easy to navigate. It also has really cool and useful video effect transitions. Cons You can't use the video effects on the additional layers, which limits how useful the software is DRAMATICALLY!
