Pros

It's an excellent editing software for all the editors who do basic video editing. It's really very easy to use. Trimming, cutting, slideshow, and many more important features are available. All formats are available. I would recommend this to every video editor.

I've used several AVS products for years and they have never fallen short on what I needed them to do. I use AVS Video Editor to create piano lessons and short 'teaser' videos of my novels.

Pros

The user interface is easy to understand, making the learning curve a short one. I was producing instruction videos in one day after practicing with the tools.

Cons

Can't think of any downsides. I guess I need to type more in this box so I can click submit

I have created a short film about the disability industry with this software, it was very well accepted and still puts a smile on people's faces years later.

Pros

The fact that different file types can be used. The instructions are good, and it just works!

Cons

That the software is only available in 32 bit. Most of your competitors are now providing 64 bit versions, why aren't you?

Overall satisfied but would like to see the video freeze issue sorted.

Pros

AVS Video Editor has a huge range of transitions, styles, and special effects to get your creative ideas flowing. The onboard help is well written and easy to follow. It is user friendly and you can work with a huge variety of file types.

Cons

The playback of a clip with music added can cause a video to freeze occasionally.

I was very pleased with the product and pleased with what I paid for it. I did not need a year subscription, maybe month to month would be a better choice for beginners like me.

Pros

I liked the capability to splice songs to the length I needed. I was also able to customize the slideshow I was working on with multiple songs and different lengths for each song. I was also able to add as many songs as I needed.

Cons

Some of the choices of features I did not understand because I do not have a background in video editing. For a beginner, the software was very user friendly.

It was the best software for what I needed with the fast deadline that I had.

I was looking for a reasonably priced video editor and found the AVS software and I'm glad I tried it. I have used it to edit all my home videos to share with friends and family as well as upload to social sites. I would recommend the AVS family of software to anyone.

Pros

The program is reasonably priced and does what I need a software to do.

Cons

There is a learning curve as with most any software and the layout for selecting options is a little confusing to a novice.

Excellent product

Pros

Easy to use and intuitive design, with many options for transitions between clips.

Cons

Text features (i.e. inserting text, rollover text etc) are a bit clunky to use, the least intuitive part of using the software. Also needs better video cropping options, i.e. it needs an easy visual cropping tool to crop video at any ratio or size without limitations.

Low cost, constant upgrades, good repertoire of functions

clunky user interface, tech support via e-mail is slow and agents do not understand the query.
