I use it frequently for different occasions. It makes wonderful gifts as a slideshow with photos, videos and music. I also use it to store all of our home movies for each year and categorize them according to the year. It's a great way to edit the videos, as opposed to the way we used to record home movies on VHS! Plus, you can make as many copies as you'd like! Pros Easy to use! An abundance of features for photos, videos and music. Highly recommend! Cons Not all the features are ready available. I like to add a Chapter Menu on all my videos. However, they're not all available. You have to upgrade and pay a little more to have all options to create a Menu. Review Source DT Donald T. I purchased the lifetime license and lived it so much that I purchased another license for my computer at home. This suite has everything you need. The software has accepted every form of media I’ve used. I can pinpoint the exact point in my video to insert a title or photo. Cons It may be the computer I’m working with, but I’d love a faster production of my projects. As I’ve gotten more creative & am using different media, my productions have gotten longer & more complicated. My most recent upload was almost 2 gb. It took over an hour to produce an mp4 video. People do not understand you need a special program to make a DVD that works in a DVD/Bluray player. The Disc Creator is easy to use and does a great job. Pros Very easy to use to make fast changes to videos, editing out or inserting new blocks or transitions. Help from AVS not needed, there is sufficient online help. It's a product for life, I have been using since 2009. Cons Occassionally crashes for no apparent reason. Reloading with same files will work correctly. Cons Ich habe eine uneingeschränkte Lizenz gekauft, und wollte den PC wechseln. Konnte ich leider nicht, da diese Lizenz nur für einen PC (aber wenigstens Lebenslang) gilt. Hab ja Gott sei Dank in den letzten 15 Jahren nicht oft PC wechseln müssen. Also wird sich das schon noch bis zu meiner Pensionierung mit diesem PC ausgehen!!! Owner / Art Director Design Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Smooth and Simple" October 31, 2019 5.0 Pros Possibly one of my favorite features is the "trajectory" settings that allow you to quickly animate overlays. The whole overlay editing section is definitely a plus. Easy to navigate and quite robust. It is a feature that makes it stand out. Another great aspect is the integrated screen capture tool. This works great and is quite robust. Cons Maybe my biggest con would be that you can not easily import masks for overlays from inside the app. Not a lot of cons really. While the UI is well laid out and easy to navigate and while it is cleanly designed it still feels a little dated and could use a refresh to feel more modern. That said, the interface works great and is fairly intuitive for newcomers. Chroma Key is possible but a bit rough (needs shadows etc) and hidden in the overlay settings though well documented in the user guide. All my "cons" are just the desire for more features, but then I would just need to get something fancier and that's not really what AVS Video is all about. Overrall it a good program and esay to use for amateur video maker. I would not recommande for professional work. Pros • Easyness to you use. • The option to have as many layers as you want for audio, clips and photos. • Alot of effect ready to use. • The export option are amazing you can export it in almost every format that exists. • I enjoy different template you can chose to make a DVD. Cons • The order in wich the layer over lap between clips, photos cannot be change. So text layer will always overlay the video overlay. Having the option to change the order would be nice • The program is missing a rewind effect ready to use. • I had a lot of bug with previously version but since now I didn’t encounter theses bugs. Pros AVS4YOU software is still revealing itself to me. Every time I come up with a problem or a way of doing things that I haven't done before, I find that the software has already anticipated it and has a way to find it. At first, i was extremely cautious about making videos, but I soon found out that one has only to remember that there are both a left and a right click on the mouse to discover what one needs. After six months, I'm still learning what I can do and what works, but I never have to wait on AVS4YOU. Cons When I am reviewing before publishing, I often lose video. Pros AVS Video Editor is extremely easy to learn and to use. I use it frequently to edit video clips and to paste together multiple clips. You can save to multiple formats which is wonderful. You can even save to a format that can be read by a regular (non-computer) DVD player. I've use this feature to do picture shows for elderly people who don't have computers. July 1, 2021 3.0 Very bad support. AVS support wouldn't transfer licence. They said it is tied to a single computer. I have to keep buying licences when upgradinging computers. Would not recommend at all. Use Divinci Resolve - its free and they are activily developing the software. Pros Very good at sales. Very good at deceiving their customers. Lifetime licence is fake. The special offer deadlines are also fake. Cons When my old computer died - AVS support would not let me install my lifetime licence on the new computer. So these guys are real sharks.
