March 25, 2022 5.0 I am looking forward to updating our school website with video editing and being able to produce videos of student performance. Pros I know everyone raves on Apple products like imovie. I could not follow how to add and edit the way I wanted to with that program with just simple tasks. Even Windows Movie Maker was making simple edits more complicated than they needed to be. I found I was wasting a lot of time using these video editing programs. AVS Video Editor was EXACTLY the product I needed! I can easily drag and drop media like photos, songs, and video into the program and edit, splice, merge, and add all the fun transitions and effects without having to read a manual to figure it all out. It is very simple to use, but delivers powerful, professional results! Thank you for creating this video editing program! I am so thankful for the person who recommended it to me! Import videos in varius formats and combine them. Pros AVS has enough features for most people. It's easy to use and the output quality is good. Cons I sometimes get confused when 'producing' the final project. So many output options and I'd just like to be offered file formats and quality options. This software allows me to literally drag and drop the segments one after the other with ease! If I need to add transition effects, its super easy and there are many to choose from. I also like the ability to lay audio tracks down if I want to replace the sound on the video. I also love its many output capabilities/formats for the final mix-down. I've used this software for many years and enjoy creating my video archives with it. Cons The menu system creation for DVD menus can be a little tricky. I wish it were a little simpler. Pros The Intuitive and user friendliness means I can leave it 'on the shelf' for long periods of time, and I don't have to spend a lot of time trying to recover how to make the program function. Cons The pan and zoom function and the ability to add text to the image works, but is is of rigid, restrictive, and narrowly defined. Reason for choosing AVS Video Editor I have used the AVS4YOU video tools for a couple of decades, and the price is excellent, the ease of use keeps my overhead training burden low, and the overall package is well written. The video overlay feature is very rare in this class of video softwares. Features provided in this price range are amazing. Free version also provides you almost everything, just shows the watermark in the final video. Cons System configuration requirements can be an issue for home edition hardware. Pros AVS Video Editor is one of the easiest to use products I've ever found for doing a wealth of video editing tasks. I've used it for editing work from others as well as creating my own presentation videos. Cons For the price, this is one of the best full featured video editors. Cons The only DOWNSIDE of this software, which prevents AVS4YOU getting a full 5-star rating is the inability to CROP video frames. Cons It does tend to crash some times and also it is not always clear what format to use for which new platforms we want to upload to. Pros Best feature is ease of importing media files from other sources. Cons The adding of text to your video could really use improvement. That section is not user friendly at all. Someone with my experience can figure it out but it is still a bear creating text inserts in my videos. Your company should look at the code in Windows Movie Maker - that was the easiest method in adding captions and beginning and ending text boxes. Pros I have a "budding" video business and I have used MANY software editing programs. I find this one to be the easiest one, but also have all the advanced features I'd want in editing software for my projects. Your products keep getting better and better, and more importantly, keep up with new formats and technology. Very easy to recommend, and to work with! Cons I don't have any major issues. I have used AVS Video Editor for years, and have used many other products, some much more expensive, but I keep coming back to AVS. And I can say, I don't plan to use any other.
