There's really nothing to learn if you just want to use it as a very very very fancy scanner and data file converter. I think it might be a better choice than qubertbook if you actually know how to keep books. There are a ton of features I'm just not using. If you actually are a real bookkeeper and not some software expert, give this thing a spin. Pros This program has made working with my legacy bookkeeping clients that still give me everything physically. I no longer have to spend as much time with manual data entry even working with accounts that are very analogue. Cons I'm never crazy about subs. I am old enough to remember being able to buy the software you needed once. I blame world of warcraft for this trash business model. I also wish there was a desk top version instead of only on line but I'm old so it just is how it is. This cut the time to do this dramatically. We had a few minor issues with our bank statements, due to their complicated layout. The support team helped us correct any issues in a timely manner. Pros Huge time savings versus typing all this in my hand. I really like the reconcile feature that lets toy know if it all got read in correctly. Easy to organize your statements and know what you have processed. Cons A little cumbersome when you have to scroll through transactions. Too many scroll bars. Our bank statements have pictures of our checks. It would have been great if the app could have read who the check was written to and any memo notes. We mainly use it to convert PDF bank and credit card statements into files that can be reviewed and imported into our accounting software. Before using DocuClipper, a lot of this information had to be captured manually, which was both time-consuming and frustrating. The platform has made the process much quicker and easier, particularly when working with scanned statements or older transactions that cannot be downloaded directly from the bank. The website is easy to navigate, the results are generally accurate, and the files are simple to check before importing. It has become a useful part of our bookkeeping process and has saved us many hours of manual work. Pros What I like most is how much time it saves. Uploading a bank statement and receiving the extracted transactions is far easier than entering everything manually. It also handles scanned documents surprisingly well, and the platform is straightforward enough that you do not need extensive technical knowledge to use it. When assistance is needed, the customer support team is responsive, patient and helpful. Cons Processing can sometimes be a little slow when working with a large number of statements. It would also be helpful to process several separate invoices together in one batch rather than uploading and converting each one individually. Our usage also varies from month to month, so a more flexible subscription option, such as the ability to pause the service during quieter periods, would be useful. This works perfectly for one of my bookkeeping clients, as she is not too tech savvy and prefers to send me paper copies of her credit card statements (I'm slowly but surely getting her used to sending me PDFs now, but that's a work in progress!) Anyways, I digress. I have enjoyed using many of the features that are built into DocuClipper, from it's document scanning and data collection, to how easy it is to use for storage of digital documents. I have definitely received great value for the business expense, and highly recommend anyone to use this service! Cons I don't have any negative experiences to share about my experience with DocuClipper. If anything, I guess I'm not as big of a fan of the emails it sends once a document that I uploaded has been converted, because whenever I am uploading a document for conversion I remain on the browser window until it is completed so that I can move forward with downloading the CSV results. Pros My Bank will only let me download the last 2 months of xactions into my QuickBooks accounting system. That is a huge pain and I often forget to do it. So all my Bank provides are PDFs of the account statements. Thank God I found DocuClipper! That allows me to feed in the PDF Bank Statements and create a QBO file to import into QuickBooks. And I can do it just once per year, when tax time comes. The product works very well. But...since I only use it once per year, I often forget how to set it up correctly. That is where the DocuClipper Cust Support comes in. And my experience with one of their team \[sensitive content hidden\] was outstanding. She patiently worked through all my integration questions and problems, and got me back where I can just input a year;s worth of Banking xactions from the PDF statements. The produce is great. But their customer support is even better! Very easy to purchase additional pages during busy seasons. Pros Using Docuclipper has been life changing for my team. We still have clients that show up at our firm with notebooks full of bank statements. Being able to easily convert those pages to QBO or Excel files is great. Cons It does have difficulty converting smaller bank's statements. This may be the fault of the banks. One has to be very careful to look at the information converted as it may not be correct in any way. I have 2 years of statements I need to convert. This website is amazing and converts the PDF statements not only to excel but also to Quickbooks online and desktop version. This has SAVE me money, because I don't have to pay a bookkeeper to enter the transaction manually. My bank does not provide excel file format for anything more than 6 months old. I HIGHLY recommend using this service. This is a huge time saver! Thank you for making this service, its' super easy to use!! Cons I wish it had capital one template statements.
