They have an amazing offering of features that made our surveys very exciting and efficient; but also have a highly controversial subscription model in place. Overall though, we gained way more than we lost with SurveyHero and learnt a lot of new skills while building forms on their platform. Pros My favorite feature of SurveyHero was the QR code distribution tool. We reserved this distribution mode purposely for our targeted recruitment and donor engagement campaigns. Because it is a relatively unused and uncommon distribution model, we always achieve our primary goal of impressing respondents with explanations of how it works and relatively high level of security it provides for data collection and questionnaire circulation. Cons Their pricing model is not the greatest. Several features that should come standard and are commonly used when building surveys are reserved for higher packages. I would prefer caps on volumes of work that could be done per package instead of high restrictions on functionality. Pros I enjoy the clean user interface of the form builder. The forms look clean and modern and the software offers a variety of ways to collect responses. This software has changed how we operate with our programs and donors. Cons I would like software hero to integrate with other softwares such as Hubspot or slack. This lack of integration limits some of the ways we are able to use suveyhero. " August 1, 2019 5.0 Our overall experience has been excellent. We like the product, and whenever we have had any questions, SurveyHero have responded quickly and helpfully. Pros As a non-profit I get access to Survey Hero, a strong product with excellent capability, free of charge. This enables me to survey donors and those that use the services of our charity in ways that we could not otherwise afford. I particularly value being able to produce surveys with conditional questions allowing me to take respondents through a different question path depending on their earlier answers. If SurveyHero did not offer this free to non-profits, we would have to pay elsewhere and as a very small charity we would not be able justify paying. Cons Lack of straightforward way to test all conditional question answers and resulting branches (at least, this was the case the last time I tried). We used to use survey monkey but found this better. My company uses it once a year after our event. Their support (Brian) is super responsive and helped us resolve an issue (we are in Asia) - but we haven't run into much issues. They also were so flexible to us when we didn't cancel our subscription properly and supported us in a refund. Interface and everything so easy to use. Pros Ease of use, drag and drop makes it so easy. Functionality makes it very easy. Our surveys are saved on file The packages allows flexibility. You can also have in different language. Most importantly the service support is amazing. Cons We had an issue once with the export, but there was a pop up window at a click of the button where support just responded right away and resolved our issue right away. Not like other companies, where support is serviced to other countries, long wait and that can't properly understand and address technical issues properly has been a problem, but survey hero is completely different! Reason for choosing SurveyHero Packages were'n't attractive. Seemed complicated to use for us, when my team that handled this was not available and I had to setup a survey for first time, it was so easy to use and quick. This product is definitely worth the investment. Pros SurveyHero is exactly what I was looking for in a survey generator that would be competitive with leading brands. Frankly, I liked the name of the product, as it is more positive, and free of any negative historical implications. Upon signing up, I found the product to be easy to use, comprehensive in terms of tools and flexibility, and it provides great results and reporting. Cons There is a small frustration in deploying my survey to additional participants. It is not clear how to add new participants without deploying an entirely new collector, complete with a new link, etc. but this is a small frustration. Does not change the functionality of the product. This probably can be fixed with clearer buttons or instructions for the user. I am now unable to collect data on closed surveys without paying $35 a month. This is not sustainable and will be forced to use an alternate service in future. The ability to add graphics (photos of our nominees) along with text about nominees careers has made for a great experience and the ability to seamlessly embed the survey right on our website helps keep our brand consistent and allows us to drive survey takers to a familiar portal. It's allowed me to spend more time deploying and promoting our surveys than building them! Pros SurveyHero is extremely user friendly and offers a wide variety of powerful options.
