### "Loom: An Excellent Solution for Screen Recording and Remote Collaboration"

August 7, 2026

5.0

My experience with this software has been overwhelmingly positive. It has been successfully used for the presentation of products, services, marketing campaigns, recorded websites, and other activities. I find this tool incredibly effective and convenient for use by an experienced digital marketer.

Pros

I had the pleasure of using the application Loom in my work as a Marketing Executive Intern for Hackett & Hackett International Group Limited, so I can proudly state that Loom has numerous advantages and a few disadvantages. First, I found it very helpful that the application has a wide variety of convenient screen recording features. Actually, you will hardly find any difficulties while using this application. Moreover, I found many video editing tools useful that can be used to create an excellent tutorial and other explanatory content. Undoubtedly, this software is appropriate for company purposes, such as creating onboarding materials, training videos, educational content, and other informative or explanatory materials.

Cons

However, there are a few significant disadvantages in terms of the usability of this application. Firstly, there are limitations for a free plan, so you need to upgrade your status to access all of Loom’s functions. Secondly, it isn’t entirely video editing software; it’s more of a tool that allows for the fast production of video messages and screen recordings. In addition, this tool is cloud-based and requires an internet connection; therefore, it is less powerful and convenient than other desktop video editors. Additionally, long-length recordings might take up considerable space on one’s hard drive, and the video quality is determined by the user’s webcam, microphone, lighting, computer’s performance, and connection.

### "Perfect for training overseas teams!"

April 20, 2026

5.0

I have a team that helps me with my business and podcast that live internationally. Because we work in different time zones, Loom makes it so easy to review projects and give notes in real time. It also helps with training. Currently I'm teaching my VA how to prep the edit for my show and I was able to record a 45 minute loom for her to watch me edit the show in real time. It was so helpful!

Pros

Having the Loom plug in on chrome makes it so easy to send my team walk throughs of what I want them to learn and do for new tasks. It is so easy for training and sharing revisions of projects.

Cons

I am sometimes confused on the privacy of loom's videos and often double check the settings. However, that could just be user error.

### "Disappointing Service"

March 9, 2026

1.0

Very horrible and i wish i never used it, i only did because a friend recommended it to me but now after this experience which i had, i mean even the app performance is very poor that i 've to restart my recording alot.

Pros

The uploading system is very good and i can't deny that, also the fact that i can blur my background is also good feature.

Cons

Disappointing ServiceI am extremely disappointed with my experience with Loom. My subscription recently renewed for a second month, and despite the fact that I haven't recorded a single video since the renewal, they are refusing to issue a refund. Even during the first month, I hardly used the platform (only a couple of videos) because the app's performance was poor and did not meet my expectations. The user experience was overall very unsatisfying. It is frustrating to be charged for a service I am not using and have no intention of using due to its low quality. I expected better customer flexibility for a "pro" service. I would recommend looking for more reliable alternatives with better support policies.

### ""Loom is a gamechanger for remote team communication.""

July 13, 2026

5.0

"My experience with Loom has been outstanding. It is an essential tool for any remote or hybrid team looking to boost productivity and clarity. The platform is user-friendly, reliable, and integrates perfectly with our existing workflow tools like Slack and Jira. It bridges the communication gap effortlessly, allowing for more personal and detailed interactions than text-based emails or chat messages could ever provide."

Pros

"Loom has completely revolutionized how my team communicates. Its screen recording and video messaging capabilities are incredibly intuitive and fast. I love how I can record a quick video to explain a process or give feedback, and then share it instantly with a simple link. The auto-generated transcripts are impressively accurate, which saves me a lot of time. It has significantly reduced our need for long, unnecessary meetings and keeps everyone aligned on projects without the friction of scheduling."

Cons

"The only limitation I've encountered is the recording time limit on the free plan, which can be restrictive for longer, detailed walkthroughs. However, the overall quality and efficiency of the tool make it well worth the upgrade. I would also appreciate more advanced editing features directly within the Loom platform, but the current tools are sufficient for basic needs."

### "he fastest way to explain anything async, indispensable for remote teams"

October 21, 2025

5.0

I’m Matías, founder at Anunzi (marketing + AI). We used a paid plan for a year and then paused mainly because our project volume dropped, not because Loom under-delivered. During that period, Loom became our default for demos, client updates, and internal explanations, it consistently reduced meeting time and shortened feedback cycles. From a security standpoint, sharing controls and link privacy have been clear and reliable for client-facing content. Value for money is excellent if your team records regularly; even on lighter months, the AI summaries and instant sharing justify the tool when you’re remote. Customer support has been responsive the few times we reached out. Screen capture is stable, file sharing via links is effortless, and for remote work Loom has been the most effective “show, don’t tell” solution we’ve tried. Five stars from me because it meaningfully improves communication speed and clarity.

Pros

What I like most is how quickly I can record, share, and get watched. Screen + camera setup is frictionless, links are instant, and viewers can add comments or emoji so I know what landed without a meeting. For remote work this collapses back-and-forth emails into a single clear video. Screen capture quality is crisp, the editor is simple for trims, and the AI features (summaries, titles, and chapters) save real time when I’m sending demos to clients or explaining tasks to my team.

Cons

There isn’t much to dislike, but the web editor is intentionally lightweight, so fine audio mixing or multi-track polish still requires exporting. I’ve hit an occasional hiccup with uploads on spotty Wi-Fi, and organization can get messy if your workspace grows without naming rules or folders. None of these were deal-breakers.

Alternatives considered

[ClickUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/158833/ClickUp/)

Reason for choosing Loom

Compared with using ClickUp’s recording inside our PM stack, Loom is purpose-built for async video. It’s quicker to start, lighter for clients to view, and offers better commenting, transcripts, permissions, and analytics. Adoption was immediate across the team and with clients.

Switched from

[Google Vids](https://www.capterra.com/p/10030512/Google-Vids/)

We moved from Google Vids because Loom’s capture-and-share flow is faster for remote work: instant links, camera bubble, AI summaries/chapters, and simple viewer analytics. Clients outside our domain could open videos without friction, which shortened feedback cycles and reduced meetings.

Does exactly what it is intended to and i need it to do - simple, quick and reliable. Recording' videos made easy.

Pros

Simplicity and the ability to share with links. I've used competitors, and they also seem very buggy. Scren capture is strong.

Cons

Nothing to really note, it has limited functionality and is simple to use - no complaints as a user of loom

### "Loom Free Version: A Review of Pros and Cons"

July 12, 2026

4.0

Pros

free version of 'Loom' is exceptionally smooth and incredibly easy to use, making it ideal for quick, hassle-free media sharing. Its simplicity allows anyone to navigate effortlessly without prior experience.

Cons

However, its drawbacks lie in the complete absence of Arabic language support and a lack of basic editing tools. There are no filters to enhance photos or videos, nor options to remove the background, edit audio, or trim unwanted sections, which limits creativity compared to the paid version.

### "Essential tool for streamlining asynchronous communication and reducing meetings"

July 28, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Loom has been fantastic. It effectively reduces the necessity of unnecessary meetings, saving time while keeping hybrid teams fully aligned. It’s quick, reliable, and frictionless for sharing demonstrations and updates.

Pros

Loom is an essential tool for asynchronous communication that significantly streamlines video communication for hybrid teams by enabling quick, efficient screen and camera recordings. I really appreciate the software's speed and its ability to seamlessly share video links, which makes it easy to explain complex ideas without friction and ensures team alignment without needing long meetings.

Cons

The main limitations lie within the free tier, specifically the restrictions on video lengths and advanced editing features, which can sometimes hinder extended workflow requirements if you aren't on a paid plan.

### "Simple Video Sharing"

August 11, 2026

5.0

Pros

Loom makes it easy to explain a topic through recorded videos. It is handy for showing a procedure, presenting a project, or sharing information without having to organise a meeting.

Cons

Video quality depends a lot on the internet connection. With several recordings, it can also become difficult to quickly find a specific video.

### "An incredibly helpful tool for communication and productivity."

July 12, 2026

5.0

Loom is an essential tool for my academic and project work. It makes sharing video feedback and technical walkthroughs incredibly easy and fast, replacing the need for long meetings and improving overall clarity in collaboration.

Pros

Loom is a fantastic tool that has significantly improved my communication workflow. I love how intuitive and fast it is to record my screen and camera simultaneously. It’s perfect for providing clear explanations, feedback, or walk-throughs for my academic projects without the need for long, live meetings. The video quality is consistently high, and the instant link sharing feature is a huge time-saver.

Cons

The only minor downside is that the free version has a limited recording length per video, which can be restrictive for longer, more detailed presentations. Also, while the processing speed is generally good, I have occasionally experienced slight delays during peak internet usage times. Despite these small issues, the overall value and ease of use make it an essential tool for my daily technical tasks and collaboration.

### "A great async work tool"

July 8, 2025

5.0

I've saved countless hours of meetings thanks to Loom! I feel like Loom is an essential part of modern remote work culture.

Pros

Loom is a fantastic asynchronous work tool. I like the interface, the AI-powered features, the easy sharing and editing options, and the embedding in email, Docs and various other tools.

Cons

I feel like Loom is a bit aggressive when it comes to pushing its premium features. Those growth hacks, or whatever you call them, are visible everywhere and often interfere with the interface.

### "Best tool for remote work"

May 27, 2025

Ten out of ten! My team knows I love Loom and will often answer a question via Slack with a Loom instead of text

Pros

So easy to use and help create everything from tutorial videos and SOP instructions to share what's happening on your screen with someone who is not in the same office

Cons

I wish you had the same features on the desktop app as you do on the Chrome extension. Particularly the blur feature.

### "Are You Remote? It's Time to Loom. "

April 4, 2025

5.0

I started using Loom in 2022, when I joined my current company. Since then, I've ebbed and flowed while using it but where I've found it most helpful is for internal collaboration at our remote agency. It saves misunderstandings, allows us to skip a meeting and instead, show someone what we mean, and makes training & onboarding simpler, because we've been able to quickly and easily document processes. I think Loom is such a gift to remote teams and hope more people use it!

Pros

Loom is an SOP and quick chat time saver. Instead of answering a quick call to screenshare or setting up a time to Zoom, I'm able to quickly and thoughtfully go through something, at my own leisure, and show exactly what I mean. It saves me a ton of time going back and forth with direct reports internally, and allows me to quick share how I think about something while also showcasing how to do that. Especially in a fully remote company, a tool like Loom is such a lifesaver for day to day work.

Cons

A few things I don't like... \* How quickly you run out of space on videos \* Automatically speeding up the videos. I just wish it would let me make that decision myself, you know? \* it can sometimes be really glitchy when it comes down to it.

### "Fantastic tool that saves a lot of time in my role"

September 26, 2025

5.0

Pros

Loom is fantastic, it saves me and my team so much time that would otherwise have been spent in meetings. It is easy to use, simple to control exactly how much of your screen you want to record, and allows for basic editing to fine tune what you want to share. I regularly have to walk people through how to use certain tools in my team, and I love that I can simply record one Loom video and share it with people over and over again, instead of having to book walkthrough meetings repeatedly.

Cons

The AI powered titles and summaries can be quite far off the reality sometimes, but that's a fairly new feature which I'm sure will improve with time. I do find that the record button sometimes has a bug and needs to be clicked multiple times before the record options actually pop up.

### "Useful for Sales Demos and Tutorials working as a Account Executive"

May 14, 2025

5.0

I have used loom to record sales demos and tutorials for my customers, it is also very useful if you need to send videos on sales activities like emails where a customer can click and see a video you recorded few mins ago.

Pros

Loom has a neat user friendly app, I was able to record demos and tutorials for my customers, using this tool for emails is great as it makes it easy to integrate for sales activities. I was also able to keep track of all videos I had recorded to review.

Cons

If loom was able to provide me analytics to my video based on total watch time, where customers interacted more and tools for editing like capcut it would be a more complete tool.

Cons

As a business, we use this tool to request users to make screen captures to better understand their technical issue so we can escalate it to the platform engineer. You can use the tool for free (with certain limitations) and it works great.

Pros

It's a great and accessible product to make short video captures to troubleshoot issues and provide support to users on our platform.

Pros

### "Loom is a great product for salespeople and project managers"

March 30, 2025

4.0

Loom is a great, easy-to-use tool for salespeople and project managers alike. I still use it and it saves me a lot of editing time.

Pros

Loom is a very easy, plug-and-play video software that is great for salespeople or project managers alike. I like Loom for our sales team because we can create personalized emails for prospects beyond just text emails. This is a great tool for anybody who needs to dialogue with clients or prospects through video and share screen but doesn't want to have to patch them together in a video editor.

Cons

One of my salespeople's MacBook pro was slowed down pretty significantly by Loom when it was running. I would also like the free version to allow for a bit more storage.

### "Loom - niche but does what it says it does"

November 8, 2024

3.0

It works, does what it says and does it well. However, I found the use case limited compared to similar products

Pros

Loom is easy to use The UI is good The idea behind the product is very logical, it helps you create a guide whilst recording your webcam and generating a link. This can save time if you need to explain things to people often and share it. The product works as intended

Cons

It's quite a niche product - I didn't find myself needing to use it often enough to justify having it. What it can do is not something that is extremely special, and you can use other software to record your screen and create guides which I think is more applicable in different situations (scribe)

### "Loom is a must have tool for a remote first scale up"

May 9, 2024

5.0

Loom was easily adopted across the organisation with people enjoying the UX/UI and ease to generate high quality content. Loom is riding the way of video content crucial for internal and external alignment as you scale.

Pros

Loom is such an incredibly easy tool to use across the company. We've used a few solutions in the past including slack recordings and clickup but truthfully, Loom has far more powerful capabilities via their rich feature set. Instant embed is a huge feature for us enabling you to simply copy and paste a link. The ability to measure insights and analytics on videos is important given we use Loom for external business development. In addition, the ability to tag others in a video, comment and engage supercharges your ability to work seamlessly across timezones. We have employees all over the world so it's crucial.

Cons

The biggest challenge was whether we actually choose a dedicated video platform (additional charges + additional learning internally and yet another tool). ClickUp is getting far more sophisticated with recordings and of course, you want to consolidate as much as you possibly can. In saying that, in the end, Loom is too good and we decided to use alongside other tools.
