“As an University adjunct instructor teaching online courses, I find Loom so helpful in conveying information to my students so easy. And allows for some of the "intricacies" of certain procedures (such as graphing or completing certain forms and procedures) to be demonstrated outside of our limited synchronous time together each week.“

### "Loom Review "

February 24, 2026

5.0

Pros

I thought it was a nice visual way to show examples for training material for my staff. It was nice to be able to send videos in live time.

Cons

The speed was hard to figure out at 1st but once I played around with it I was able to figure it out with no issues.

### "he fastest way to explain anything async, indispensable for remote teams"

October 21, 2025

5.0

I’m Matías, founder at Anunzi (marketing + AI). We used a paid plan for a year and then paused mainly because our project volume dropped, not because Loom under-delivered. During that period, Loom became our default for demos, client updates, and internal explanations, it consistently reduced meeting time and shortened feedback cycles. From a security standpoint, sharing controls and link privacy have been clear and reliable for client-facing content. Value for money is excellent if your team records regularly; even on lighter months, the AI summaries and instant sharing justify the tool when you’re remote. Customer support has been responsive the few times we reached out. Screen capture is stable, file sharing via links is effortless, and for remote work Loom has been the most effective “show, don’t tell” solution we’ve tried. Five stars from me because it meaningfully improves communication speed and clarity.

Pros

What I like most is how quickly I can record, share, and get watched. Screen + camera setup is frictionless, links are instant, and viewers can add comments or emoji so I know what landed without a meeting. For remote work this collapses back-and-forth emails into a single clear video. Screen capture quality is crisp, the editor is simple for trims, and the AI features (summaries, titles, and chapters) save real time when I’m sending demos to clients or explaining tasks to my team.

Cons

There isn’t much to dislike, but the web editor is intentionally lightweight, so fine audio mixing or multi-track polish still requires exporting. I’ve hit an occasional hiccup with uploads on spotty Wi-Fi, and organization can get messy if your workspace grows without naming rules or folders. None of these were deal-breakers.

Alternatives considered

[ClickUp](https://www.capterra.com/p/158833/ClickUp/)

Reason for choosing Loom

Compared with using ClickUp’s recording inside our PM stack, Loom is purpose-built for async video. It’s quicker to start, lighter for clients to view, and offers better commenting, transcripts, permissions, and analytics. Adoption was immediate across the team and with clients.

Switched from

[Google Vids](https://www.capterra.com/p/10030512/Google-Vids/)

We moved from Google Vids because Loom’s capture-and-share flow is faster for remote work: instant links, camera bubble, AI summaries/chapters, and simple viewer analytics. Clients outside our domain could open videos without friction, which shortened feedback cycles and reduced meetings.

### "Disappointing Service"

March 9, 2026

1.0

Very horrible and i wish i never used it, i only did because a friend recommended it to me but now after this experience which i had, i mean even the app performance is very poor that i 've to restart my recording alot.

Pros

The uploading system is very good and i can't deny that, also the fact that i can blur my background is also good feature.

Cons

Disappointing ServiceI am extremely disappointed with my experience with Loom. My subscription recently renewed for a second month, and despite the fact that I haven't recorded a single video since the renewal, they are refusing to issue a refund. Even during the first month, I hardly used the platform (only a couple of videos) because the app's performance was poor and did not meet my expectations. The user experience was overall very unsatisfying. It is frustrating to be charged for a service I am not using and have no intention of using due to its low quality. I expected better customer flexibility for a "pro" service. I would recommend looking for more reliable alternatives with better support policies.

### "Easy, Simple and effective."

December 14, 2025

Does exactly what it is intended to and i need it to do - simple, quick and reliable. Recording' videos made easy.

Pros

Simplicity and the ability to share with links. I've used competitors, and they also seem very buggy. Scren capture is strong.

Cons

Nothing to really note, it has limited functionality and is simple to use - no complaints as a user of loom

February 20, 2025

5.0

My overall experience has been very positive. I used loom for a big project where i had to make almost 1500 videos from scratch and loom helped me in making all of those. Its built in AI features like auto captions, auto titles ,summary helped me a lot in doing my work effectively.I used used the option to add links extensively.

Pros

The videos get automatic titles and captions which is very helpful

Cons

If you mess up your recording you have to start from the beginning. There is no option to keep continuing after dinner point of time

### "Loom Made My Presentations Effortless – A Game-Changer for Team Collaboration!"

March 9, 2025

5.0

Overall, I had the most easiest time on loom than any other presentation software.

Pros

easy to navigate, I used it for my presentation, I must say i was completely sold. And i managed to easily train my co-workers how to use it.

Cons

I am yet to find any cons, maybe a noticeable one would be how it launches itself when I switch on my laptop.

### "Loom - A Time Saver"

January 20, 2025

4.0

Loom has been a huge timesaver. I also find that when I record a video answer for a customer, it makes them feel more important than an email.

Pros

I love that it saves me time. Instead of taking screen shots and making an email with arrows etc., I can easily record the steps on how to do something. Or, instead of phoning someone to explain how to do something or walking them through it over the phone, I can make a short Loom video for them. Also, if someone else has the same issue or question, I already have the Loom video with the answer to send to them.

Cons

I use two computer screens and I find it difficult to get Loom to record the correct screen or it will allow me to record the Loom homescreen, but not switch over to the actual screen I want to record.

Switched from

[Microsoft PowerPoint](https://www.capterra.com/p/141633/PowerPoint/)

Because I don't have to build slides for a video.

### "A Staple Across Our Teams to Share Processes & Information"

April 3, 2025

5.0

We started using Loom for our IT support team to be able to capture simple processes for people to follow step-by-step to be able to access or complete tasks. But it has become a staple throughout many of our departments now to be able to share processes and information!

Pros

Loom is the easiest screen and video / voiceover capture. It has such easy settings and it takes all of 3 clicks to screen capture any process. PLUS the captions function! Love it.

Cons

Honestly, I have no complaints about Loom.

I'm not sure but, to me, it seems like Loom has way more capability and is less glitchy.

### "Great tool for async communication for teams"

February 2, 2026

Overall, it’s been very positive. Loom saves time and cuts down on meetings. It’s also very easy to use.

Pros

Loom makes it really easy to explain ideas, give feedback, or walk through campaigns without scheduling another meeting. It’s been especially helpful for reviews, quick updates, and onboarding.

Cons

The editing features are pretty basic, so you can’t do much beyond simple trims. Videos can also feel a little slow to load at times.

### "Are You Remote? It's Time to Loom. "

April 4, 2025

5.0

I started using Loom in 2022, when I joined my current company. Since then, I've ebbed and flowed while using it but where I've found it most helpful is for internal collaboration at our remote agency. It saves misunderstandings, allows us to skip a meeting and instead, show someone what we mean, and makes training & onboarding simpler, because we've been able to quickly and easily document processes. I think Loom is such a gift to remote teams and hope more people use it!

Pros

Loom is an SOP and quick chat time saver. Instead of answering a quick call to screenshare or setting up a time to Zoom, I'm able to quickly and thoughtfully go through something, at my own leisure, and show exactly what I mean. It saves me a ton of time going back and forth with direct reports internally, and allows me to quick share how I think about something while also showcasing how to do that. Especially in a fully remote company, a tool like Loom is such a lifesaver for day to day work.

Cons

A few things I don't like... \* How quickly you run out of space on videos \* Automatically speeding up the videos. I just wish it would let me make that decision myself, you know? \* it can sometimes be really glitchy when it comes down to it.

### "Easy to use and super helpful"

March 6, 2025

4.0

Good so far. We are currently in our trial period but see no reason not to continue as it allows us to show staff quickly where something is in our company app but also to provide training videos for new starters which we are starting to work on now to improve our onboarding process

Pros

Its really easy to use, anyone even with poor computer skills can use it and it also allows us to share any issues we have with people with a quick and easy link. It is also easy to edit and amend a recording if you end too late with a recording. I like that you can use both mobile and PC

Cons

Sometimes the recordings can take a little while to process

### "Free and limited "

July 28, 2025

5.0

Pros

It’s practical to create easy tutorials and share them. It gives 3 videos in the free plan, an editor if needed to make some cuts.

Cons

It can be limited when it comes to editing your videos directly. I think it’s better not to offer an editor at all than to offer one that’s very poor in features.

### "Amazing Screen Recording"

February 26, 2025

5.0

If you want to share tips, make a video course or just an alternative to your windows / mac screen recordings - this is it! It transcribes automatically so you can go back to the video and look it up in the Transcript without having to watch the whole video

Pros

It’s intuitive, fast, and so helpful - I use it to show my clients how to use certain tools. The inscreen video makes it a more personal experience.

Cons

I honestly haven’t found anything I dislike. It has a good free version as well!

### "Loom is a great product for salespeople and project managers"

March 30, 2025

4.0

Loom is a great, easy-to-use tool for salespeople and project managers alike. I still use it and it saves me a lot of editing time.

Pros

Loom is a very easy, plug-and-play video software that is great for salespeople or project managers alike. I like Loom for our sales team because we can create personalized emails for prospects beyond just text emails. This is a great tool for anybody who needs to dialogue with clients or prospects through video and share screen but doesn't want to have to patch them together in a video editor.

Cons

One of my salespeople's MacBook pro was slowed down pretty significantly by Loom when it was running. I would also like the free version to allow for a bit more storage.

### "Easy to create and share"

September 30, 2024

4.0

Overall my experience with look has been great. I really appreciate how easy it is to create a video of myself and share the link with others. I use Loom to send videos when I apply for jobs on Upwork and I have used them as training material as well. Before Loom I used YouTube and the process with YouTube is definitely more tideous. Loom is much more straightforward and simple to use.

Pros

I like how easy it is to record and share videos online with Loom

Cons

It was a bit tricky for me to learn how to switch from the circle in the video to a full screen video of myself. I think this transition can be easier.

### "Help Me, My Team, & My Clients Many Hours of Time"

October 3, 2024

5.0

Pros

The new AI powered features that have been added to the platform such as enhanced transcriptions, the new tagging feature that tags specific parts of your recording for easy review at a later date, and even the automatic video title generator so you do not have to create and modify a name for your recording anymore, if you chose not to. They all help me save a ton of extra time and adds new capabilities to my workflow, including my automated workflow through Zapier.

Cons

I think it could use some better video editing and post-production capabilities. They have added some new features lately, but there are still a couple more that I would like to see, even on the free plans.

### "Best Video Tool I've Used"

June 25, 2024

4.0

Overall, my experience using Loom was great. It really allowed me to record and edit the training content we needed for the team. I used to have to re-record content several times to get a good take, but Loom makes it so much easier to edit and get what you need out of a recording.

Pros

I loved that Loom provided a lot of versatility in how you wanted to record content. You could choose which tab or screen, audio or just video, or even add a video of you talking through the presentation at the bottom corner.

Cons

There was definitely a bit of a learning curve trying to learn to use this tool and maximize it's features. For example, I didn't know I could cut snippets of the video out until much later and even then it took some time to figure out, but that's also one of my favorite features once I did figure it out.
