Very useful for me. Pros I enjoy how we can look up assets by asset number or you can type in the location. For most assets you can see a picture of what you're looking for. Cons I'm not sure if there are videos available to watch to help the user experience, and possibly a tutorial on where to find helpful pages. For finding assets more efficiently, PlanView allows you to search by typing in both PlanView and ListView. You can also scan QR codes to launch an asset's page directly. Would love to have some updates to make Akitabox even more functional for tracking projects. Pros Overall Akitabox is great and has been super useful to our organization. It is easy to learn overall and has good features within the system. Cons The app is not as useful and is harder to use than the desktop version and doesn't not interact well with Apple products. Also wish there was a way to track projects within the program. Also, the back end side of Akitabox could use a bit of updating. Director of Building and Grounds Facilities Services Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Very Happy Customer" February 18, 2025 5.0 My experience with AkitaBox has been amazing, so much so that many other companies, schools, universities and hospitals contact me to see how I like the product and how I utilize it. Pros I really liked the fact that they sent their team into my building to retrieve accurate data off all of my equipment and loaded it onto their platform. Then they provided not just me but my staff with great training to get us spun up to be self sufficient. They then took it a bit further by helping me to get the buy in from our staff that utilize our spaces by providing a quick link for them to notify us of any ongoing issues. Once they were what most companies would say completed they came back around to verify data that they felt was missing information and verified their own work. This is why our School District has been a proud supporter of AkitaBox because they have been a great supporter of us and a great partner as well. Any thing that we recommended and suggested they ran it up the flag pole to see if they could provide it for us. I always recommend this team when asked. I have investigated many other products and always stay with AkitaBox. Cons I wish that we could upload our maintenance inspection checklist into AkitaBox and have a place holder that we can click on to indicate that what ever the inspection was it was completed once checked off. It already knows who has opened the work order and could just place that persons initials in the block once they click on it. It could go as far as placing a date and time on it for managers to see, that way if something goes wrong they can look back and possibly see that the person doing the work might not have done it within the appropriate / allotted time frame to do that work, Another aspect that I find missing is that there is no place in order to annotate Amperage draws and such information and be able to quickly on the same page see what the previous three reading were. This would provide the technician the insight that a possible bearing / motor failure is occurring due to higher amp draws. This would be very helpful for the technicians in the field to see this data while completing their own readings. This platform provided all of those features! Pros It was easy for our team to set up and access the platform and start uploading our information. Our client is happy with the results so far as we help them improve their facilities. We also have a tremendous support team from Akita on board too! Cons Its depends on the users, but for some the learning curve might be a bit high and they need to train to adjust to the software. For others, its fairly straightforward approach. The program is easy to use, even with employee attrition people catch on fast. Pros It is very easy to sort work orders by worker strength, and the ability to put pictures of the assets has saved time in understanding nagging issues. Pros For the most part this is a very user friendly platform. The mapping function for asset placement is one of the best that I have seen. Cons 1\. I am unable to drop a pin in a location for a service request or work order. 2. There is not a way to move assets to a different building with out deleting and recreating the asset. Pros Visually it is very striking. End users really like the features of seeing the floor plant to direct Facilities to the area they are requesting help. Cons It is not customizable and the reporting tool really does not do anything of value. I wind up crating excel reports as the system itself is unable to really quantify their work. We recently purchased insights, and I am very excited about the reporting in the future. I consistently tell people they should switch to Akitabox for their work order system. Pros I love how easy the software is to use and the multiple ways our students/staff can enter service requests (Portal and/or QR codes). I also love the learning center with all the articles and videos that show me how to get the most out of the product. Cons I wish there was a way on the Admin side to pull easy reports for open work orders per employee. (Maybe there is and I just haven't found that yet). Change is always difficult. I could not have been happier with the way it was received and used from the very first day. The thing I love the most about AkitaBox is the way it organizes and tracks nearly everything we do. We no longer have multiple spreadsheets in different locations. Everything we need and use is in one spot and data is available from IT to landscape. Cons This is probably more of a pro for this product than a con but when you find that AkitaBox is improving so many different aspects of your organization the temptation is to attempt to use it for things it wasn't designed to do. Pros It is a very nice asset management system for a large school district that has so many sites and different pieces of equipment. Cons Not being able to bulk edit asset types across all of our buildings is a bit annoying. Adding one type of asset requires adding the same asset type with all of the same information 30+ times. This software has allowed my team and I to better monitor the status of our assets and streamline our facility management procedures. For our first implementation, we noticed a huge increase in efficiency. Pros In my position, where I am responsible for overseeing a wide variety of buildings and assets, I have found AkitaBox to be an invaluable tool. What I like most is the software's compatibility with AutoDesk® Revit, as I can quickly and easily import data about the assets in my structures and examine them in 3D. Cons I would like to see in a more accurate way the floor conditions of the different rooms, to have an accurate view of the space usage and other parameters, this is something that needs to be improved according to my analytical perspective. Considering how frequently I use AutoDesk® Revit in my line of work, the fact that it is compatible with Revit was also a significant selling point for me. January 17, 2024 5.0 Overall, the system is fairly smooth, and leaves lots of room to integrate the system more to our needs. We use it, and as we learn it more, we use it more extensively. It is a system that grows with us. Pros I love the convenience of the asset tracking. It’s also a great system for the organization of maintenance communication. Cons Fairly minor, but I wish I could customize some of the labels in the drop downs. For maintenance, I usually click custodial, because it is the best option of the available.
