They have decreased our onboarding processed and kept costs down at the same time. Pros It is very user friendly! The UI is very self-explanitory. Cons Initially, the onboarding process was slow but that has been addressed and MUCH better now. March 7, 2023 5.0 Orderful was easy to implement to replace our previous provider. We did have to write our own API calls to their system but we have full control over what happens with errors and transactions. Orderful has allowed us to shrink our new customer EDI implementation significantly. Pros Orderful is the first system we found that lets us see everything. We had other EDI providers that would not show the raw transactions. Orderful lets us work the way we want to work. They do the heavy lifting of the communications and AS2 translations and we get to work with a good API directly from our ERP system. We can write our own reporting and notifications from the raw transactions we see. Cons Not really a downside but it would be nice to have access to APIs as well as AS2. We work with a lot of trading partners that have API access and it would be great to have one single simple interface that covered all of our business transactions. Reason for choosing Orderful Again, the visibility of transactions and our ability to design our own system using their API instead of having to have them embed their system in our ERP. December 14, 2019 4.0 Orderful has helped streamline our order processing by automating the ERP -> Warehouse -> ERP flow for us and minimizing the amount of routine work our team has to do. Pros Love the implementation team being responsive and dedicated to getting us set up on time and working with new technologies. Cons Sometimes support was difficult to get ahold of post-implementation, but things have been improving a lot recently and now all of our questions are answered in <24 hours. The automatic error flows (in the case of an error) would allow for us to have full visibility into what the potential issues are in a particular document. The Orderful team is always super easy to get a hold of in the case of any questions or new builds. Pros Super easy to use and the Orderful team was able to take control and spearhead the onboarding process. Cons I can honestly say that I have not come across any negative features in the current product. Orderful has been receptive to feedback on its product from both us as well as our trading partners and is seriously interested in improving the experience in the Orderful platform. Pros With most EDI Services a Managed Services or Software as a Service model requiring dedicated developers or mappers to maintain, Orderful's platform offered us a more simplified approach. The Rules Engine has allowed us to consolidate the developer / mapper role with a business analyst role. Communications set up is self-serviced by our carrier trading partners and automated email notifications of exceptions allow us to onboard much more quickly than in our legacy EDI platform. Cons Early on there were delays with delivery of our transactions but in 2022 Orderful has invested a lot of time and effort into having its platform be much more resilient. Reporting capabilities within the platform are still very limited and basic and would be nice to see more telemetry-type reporting native to the platform. Reason for choosing Orderful Allowed us to eliminate handoffs and get us closer to a carrier self-service onboarding experience. Review Source kR khalid R. This has made my life and role a lot easier at this company. It's also been high impact for our customers. Pros I like how reliable and easy the software is to use. Also, the fact that we have solutions architects available to assist makes our lives easy. This allows us to focus on the core of our product. In addition to that, we're able to schedule meetings with our account manager who can answer any question or issue we have with EDI. This is critical when it comes to onboarding new customers. Our account manager can carry the success of that business relationship through their knowledge and expertise in EDI. On every client call we've had, our account manager has more knowledge on EDI than any of our customers. Cons I just don't like the launch time required for EDI technology. This isn't a problem with Orderful, but a problem with the industry. However, Orderful has created a ton of great tools and features that expedite this process so I'm very optimistic about Orderful's ability to solve this problem in the next 2-3 years. They have an exceptional support team which is very important to us and they really help cut down our onboarding time, making us more efficient. Pros Orderful makes the EDI onboarding process much smoother. They also have outstanding support. Cons I think there could be some improvements to their existing portal. Having a more robust filtering, for example would assist with their customer's scalability. Orderful is open to suggested product enhancements and does their due diligence in vetting out solutions before implementing. Pros Having the ability to customize and map different trading partners business rules has been key to a quick implementation timeline. Developers or mapping expertise is generally not needed. Cons As with any software, there were times when a feature or enhancement timeline got pushed out due to competing priorities. December 21, 2022 5.0 Pros Orderful has given us the transaction visibility we needed, from transaction level detail to a bird’s-eye view. They have made it possible to drastically cut onboarding time with trading partners by 90% compared to our previous state. Their support team is quick to respond to support inquires, and their team is highly knowledgeable in EDI. Their product offers friendly yet powerful tools that allow us to self onboard and make the needed changes on the fly that we tend to see in our industry. Their user interface is clean and sophisticated, making you feel in control of your data and relationships across your organization. Cons At this time they do not support XML, and file formatting outbound is strictly X12 EDI. Reports ran out of the UI are limited to 30K transactions however they offer list API for more robust reporting needs. Review Source DC Dylan C. It has allowed us to realize the benefits of EDI trading without having to operate that service in-house. Pros Orderful is very effective for connecting to multiple EDI trading partners. It allows for transforming multiple EDI transactions into a single JSON file accessible via EDI. The rules engine is robust and effective for exception management. Cons The setup requires some EDI knowledge. Testing within the platform can be a challenge. Reason for choosing Orderful Better cost, ability to evaluate and manage individual transactions and general exceptions. Review Source DS David S. The customer service is excellent. Pros Orderful manages both the communications as well as the mapping with a pricing platform that has allowed us to increase the number of trading partners we share EDI data with. Onboarding process continuously improved. Onboarding of new trading partners can be completed in 2 days with go live be completed in 2 weeks. Cons Only issue we have is sometimes errors are difficult to understand the root cause. They had some issues in customer service which have been 100% resolved. We don't have to invest internal technical resources to perform this function, because Orderful meets our needs. For us, the ease of use, intuitive UI, and quick support resolution combined with customization via the Rules Editor have enabled the onboarding of new partners to be seamless. Cons Haven't experienced too many downsides - It excels in most areas compared to other previously used EDI platforms. There are occasional outages that every platform experiences, but they are quickly resolved and it doesn't affect transactions. Review Source DF David F. The orderful team was quick to respond, kind, easy to work with, and helpful to resolve any issues that may have arose in a timely matter. Pros The out of the box functionality supported best practices. However, customized transaction types are available. Reduced manual efforts for daily operations and fulfillment.
