October 29, 2019 5.0 Aside from everything I've already said ViralSweeps has helped us grow our email list and social channels exponentially! It has allowed us to reward our customers and collaborate with other companies in a fun and easy way. Worth every penny. Pros I love how user-friendly ViralSweeps is. It's easy to navigate and integrate with applications we already use. My favorite part though is they answer my questions soooooo quick! That's actually what made me sign up when I first started using them a couple of years ago. I was comparing platforms and sent ViralSweep and a competitor an email asking questions about their platform and ViralSweep answered me back within minutes. I was able to go back and forth with them for about an hour and by the end, I didn't care to hear back from the other company. This incredible service continues. If I ask a question through "chat" within normal business hours I will have a response almost immediatly (sometimes even after hours!). They are incredible; better and cheaper than Gleam... Cons This is minor... but I wish when requesting to know someone's birthday for a sweepstakes entry you could just request month and year, not the date too. Reason for choosing ViralSweep ViralSweeps was sooooo quick to answer all of my questions/concerns. Pros There isn't a software package out there that lets you quickly create collaborative campaigns as easily as viralsweep. We've been using this software for 2+ years and across 40+ projects. Support is the absolute best. Cons Depending on the campaign type, the overall user interface is a bit rigid, but it's optimized for that campaigns particular goal and it just works. But this simplicity can also lead to some pitfalls with regard to sweepstakes regulation. It's "too easy" to create a sweepstakes, and that could lead to some employees making mistakes with regard to compliance. Cons The webhooks did not work for us. Other benefits I receive from using ViralSweep include ease of use, variety, customizable, works great with WordPress and Facebook, and the service is impeccable -- I have received immediate responses from Giancarlo, who is always kind and willing to help. Pros The thing I like most about ViralSweep --- it generates excellent results. I have tried many others, including Wishpond and Woobox, and ViralSweep stands head and shoulders above those competitors. Cons I wish there were more flexibility in creating a custom landing page with graphics and other copy. I would also like if it created a white-labeled report with the ability to customize pages of the report and add graphics. " September 16, 2019 5.0 ViralSweep is a great software for running contests, submitting entry forms and collecting emails. I love that we're able to export the winning names and emails into an Excel file to send to my Email Specialist for our sends. Also, I really love that rep, with customer support, always responds within 30 mins, which is just fine because I typically plan our contests ahead, leaving time to hash out issues with the ViralSweep team before it launches. Pros My company, sells custom window treatments online, but we also frequently attend home shows around the country to promote our product and upcoming sales. With ViralSweep, I was easily able to set up a simple entry for all of the dates on "tour" and award (1) entrant from each show super easily! Only thing I would recommend to add is a random number generator for winner selection, so users wouldn't be leaving your site to search for one on Google. Cons Not a huge deal but it would be nice to have more theme options without having to upgrade from the starter package. It is also aesthetically pleasing and able to be customized to match just about any client's style. Cons There aren't alot of cons that I've experiences so far, but no matter what platform you're using there will always be small things that a client requests that you aren't able to do. With ViralSweep, the only things like this that I've noticed so far are controlling the size of the text in the extra content block on the entry form, and adding an underline to certain parts of text in the rules agreement and newsletter agreement lines. Cons We use this in-store as well.... and it was complicated to allow the stores to sign-up the customers themselves as it was always the same IP address. They provide great support when we need help. Pros Viralsweep makes it really easy to launch and manage a sweepstakes. They've got great built-in features for increasing entries by enabling users to earn more chances to win by referring friends. We use it a lot to increase social following for our clients by allowing people to earn more entries by following on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc. As a marketer I love they that have Facebook pixel, Google Analytics, and other tracking technology implemented so I can see what advertising I'm running is driving results. Cons While the simplicity of setup is great most of the time, I do wish there was some more advanced options for customizing more intricate campaigns. I would love to be able to create full screen immersive campaigns with things like "what kind of X are you" type quizzes. Also, would love to be able to customize a subdomain and short link. Cons I can't say that I dislike much. Everything is intuitive. The things I dislike are things that I know you cannot control, such as getting a bonus entry for liking a Facebook page or Instagram account. Pros \-Ease of use: the platform is pretty straightforward and easy for any team to understand, set up and implement -Great value: for the variety of goals available, Viral Sweep has been great. -Customizable- I like that the product is customizable and can be integrated onto our website Cons \-Missing functions: I have had to "hack" some of the plugins to achieve some of the goals I wanted because the functions were not available like "follow us on instagram" I would just change the text to say that so they thought they has to follow to get an additional entry but really I had no way to track it. Love the ability to track facebook comments for specific amounts of time. This is especially useful for our users guessing scores to sporting events up until the start of the game. I love the ability to customize the layout and look of the sweepstakes. Cons Aspect ratios of the images for sweepstakes are locked into a specific ratio. I do not know the value of the additional emails collected but I tried to give away a product that my shoppers would like therefore they are potential shoppers. As I do more of these I am sure I will better know the long term benefits and can comment again. Pros I really like the integration flexibility with social media and other applications especially Klayvio. I have collected over 1000 new subscribers to my newsletter in a month doing a single giveaway which is something I wish to repeat monthly. The set up is easy and it's easy to manage. I will be doing our first drawing on the 1st of September and it's literally a click of a button. Cons I think there are a few things that I would like to see upgraded. I think that the basic package should have Facebook Pixel and Google Analytics integration as a Standard. Those are basic basic things that would definitely provide value. The jump in price to get those two things (which is all I would want) is just too steep. I also think the page layout for the image files is weird. It would be better to have a single column with the image at top or bottom then a smaller picture and a right column that extends off-page just bad overall graphic design ( I am a designer so just giving my opinion. ) Finally, One thing I didn't understand is in my analytics reports I am seeing a ton of traffic driven by ViralSweep? How is this happening? Do you promote the contest or is it because of a redirect that I am seeing it? It would be nice to see or know what that is.
