Though the benefits of this software are unmatched, I wish they would upgrade a few things. Pros Product is awesome and relatively easy to use. love how many automations I can send for reminders to clients and for follow ups about re-booking and leaving reviews, etc. The payment integrations is also awesome too! Cons I don’t like that they don’t have an HST addition option built in to client receipts. It really makes my accounting messy and occasionally I consider changing software for this reason only. I als wish that it connected directly to square so I don’t have to switch between apps. Would be really awesome if EMT was an option for payment as well. Cons That it doesn’t offer enough customization for the scheduling interface. It is very simple, but could easily attract more customers with more customization. Pros This scheduling application is a good alternative to others out on the market. It can help with my medical appointments and prescriptions. Cons It was hard to get used to setting it up. It also keeps a database of all our customers info (name, phone, email) Pros What a great product. I have used this for 8+ years and it is so easy to create a customer facing site for customers to book appointments, it syncs up with my calendar, and my rates have hardly gone up since I signed up as they are loyal to their customers and grandfather them in (my pricing was held at what I signed up for even though the price of my plan went up). The customer support is rarely used but when I have needed them they are quick to reply. Cons When setting up multiple calendars things get a little confusing for a first time user. The weekly schedule viewer simply cannot be compared to other platforms. It is also great to be able to have private notes that can be shared across the team on each booking. Cons It is pricey compared to other platforms, but dare I say it's worth it. Also, since Acuity was acquired recently, it makes you re-log into your account like every half hour and it is VERY annoying. This alone has decreased my satisfaction with Acuity significantly. As we grew the business, it provided us with quick wins in standing up a new business model that required dynamic scheduling across multiple platforms including M365, Postgresql and Retool. It provided a high level of visibility into daily schedules. Pros Acuity Scheduling integrated well into the process and tools we were using. Combined with low-code/no-code platforms, Acuity was flexible enough to support a multi-user environment, requiring minimal administrative functions. Cons Integration and Configuration did take longer than we had expected, but once the processes were fully mapped and we understood the interactions between Acuity, Retool, Outlook and our Postgresql backend, it became very easy to manage. The only real issue that we ran into is the inability for an Admin to manage the actual configurations for the end-users. Acuity requires that the end user participate in the connection between Outlook and Acuity. It's not a horribly difficult process, but would have been much more streamline had the Acuity Admin been able to execute the entire process on his own. February 19, 2026 5.0 Overall, I have been very happy with Acuity, it has been a really helpful app in growing my coaching business. Pros I love that I can easily create and manage custom calendar booking links for my different offers - free and paid. I am able to include all my onboarding documentation when a client signs up. I can take payments on booking without having to raise a separate invoice. Cons For a solopreneur, its a relatively high monthly fee compared to some other offerings, but they don't have the same level of functionality, so it evens out. Also for some inexplicable reason, it keeps disconnecting from my zoom - which is frustrating. The system is easy to use for me and my clients. Also it has Secure encryption . That’s most important. Pros My favorite feature is that I can set specific appointment times on my availability calendar such as 10a, 1pm, 3:30p . I love that it’s all inclusive . All the features are included in the plan. I can add forms , deposit requests and payment processing at no additional fee. It was also easy to sync my calendar . I never experienced any bugs or operating issues . Cons I would like to be able to run more detailed reports. I would also like the option for Acuity to market my business for me. Also quicker customer support would be helpful. Calendly now has that integration of course now, too, but at the time, I was manually sending the zoom link to my contacts and so I searched for a better tool and Acuity was it. Pros That they offer the 'add to google calendar' feature as opposed to (or in addition to??) the inconvenient .ics file. Cons The cost. I switched to another tool because Acuity was double the price with almost the same features.
