I like the quirky quotes and statements because they give me moments of fun during my workday. I love the value for the cost. Pros I like the customizable functionality of Acuity the most. However I also very much appreciate the appointment reminder features which remind both the clients and the clinician of upcoming appointments. I love that multiple reminders is an option and that I can customize when the reminders are sent. Cons I really dislike there is no pin or fingerprint option for opening the phone app. The "Magic Link" is not very convenient and has not always worked when I have tried using it. The app itself is very phone friendly however. We tried calendly and a few other systems, but couldn't find anything that truly met our customization needs especially when round robin assigning webinars to different team members. Acuity Scheduling fixed all that. Pretty much anything we've needed it to do- it does it. We love that it is a robust yet easy to use system! Cons The only thing I would suggest is a support chat feature. I understand Acuity scheduling is a lean team so they operate on email only support, and they do a great job, but instant support would be nice eventually! November 7, 2020 5.0 Pros This was my first time using a scheduling app for booking appointments. I had originally debated on just using a free app such as Setmore or Facebooks integrated one. But I wanted something much more professional. Acuity fulfilled most, if not all of my current needs. It was easy to use, had a downloadable app, and allowed me to customize every single detail right down to limiting bookings per week. It exceeded my expectations for what I expected from the app. The only thing I would like to see would be the ability to integrate the client list to my email list for marketing campaigns via Squarespace. Right now, I am just doing them manually. I’d also love the ability to email clients right from the app. I record my client meetings and the ability to email them a copy right from the scheduling app would be cherry on top. Otherwise, I’ve enjoyed using Acuity and don’t plan on switching anytime soon. Cons It took a little bit of time to adjust to knowing how to use it. I am an ex Mind Body user, and I have a small business. Running a business in New Zealand is not an easy thing to do in my industry. I wanted something more affordable, but Acuity Scheduling has all the features of Mind-Body, and more, that suits my business except Retail Sales and that did not bother me. I have a few elements of my business, and AS has so many well thought out features that I have always been able to do everything I wanted to do. As they continue to make on going improvements, it's great. I especially like the payment options, for my business, people can prepay. Thats really useful for a mobile and clinic in Massage. They are contactable and always respond (unlike MindBody), there vidos are easier to understand. I think I have only ever contacted them for 1 or 2 things. Its modern, has a fun vibe, and has a good list of prices for the staff levels. Its really easy to update your account, I have had a period with more staff and gone to unlimited then now back to the next plan down, super easy. No hassles. Pros Acuity's offers a very reasonably priced product with similiar functionality and integrations to their competition. You can sync your Gmail, Outlook calendars and even integrate Salesforce to create events like tasks when someone schedules an appointment. You can also customize your scheduling page with your logo and colors as well as embed on your website. Cons Sometimes the design seem a little unresponsive. Pros Very straight forward and easy product. The forms feature for the scheduling widget allows me to collect information, including photos if needed. It matches my website’s coloring scheme and is seen less with our branding. Cons Nothing at this time, I do not need every feature offered by Acuity, but if I need a feature it has it. I am going to continue trying to make it work. Pros I love that Acuity is very robust and allows you to customize responses when a client/customer books with you. I also love that integrates with Instagram and Facebook for ease of booking. This is to some super small but was a game-changer for me. I have enough reasons to use Zapier for integrations but Acuity did an amazing job of taking out that extra step. It truly is great. Cons There is one area that the scheduler is somewhat lacking and that is the ability to connect to multiple calendars and check for availability. Calendly in comparison does this very well and it's probably the only huge pain point. This is also where the system begins to get complicated. I wish it was just a bit more simplified and intuitive. To provide more context. I have my personal calendar and more than one business. I don't necessarily want that information pulled into Acuity however if it could connect to gsuite just as Calendley does to multiple calendars and make a time accessible or not based on information across all calendars that would be awesome. It goes something like this: I need to schedule a day/time with a business partner or client so we send emails back-and-forth giving our projected availability which inevitably changes between the time I sent my email and when they reply. This ends up going on for several cycles until a mutually agreed upon date/time is found, more than likely weeks after the initial ask. What a waste of time! I was informed about Acuity Scheduling while I was presenting at the California Placement Association's southern regional workshop, and I decided to look into it. As a Solopreneur, I have to choose my investments wisely, so I was happy to engage in the 14-day free trial. It ended up being a much more robust scheduling "service" than I could've wished for. The aspects I found most helpful were: the ability to sync with my iPhone calendar (which becomes my "master" calendar by default because it's on my phone), the ability of email reminders being sent to me and the person who scheduled a meeting time with me, and the ability to create different "groups." The groups feature is helpful when you want to distinguish between a client, a colleague, or a friend. I did have to enter my availability in a couple of times while I was going through a learning curve, and I think as a general usage "limitation" (it would be great if you could "copy" an existing calendar for one new group, and then add or delete availability blocks accordingly). There are 2 different calendar types - one where hours are set, and one where they fluctuate, so it's the latter that I've been engaging with, and for that reason, creating your availability for multiple groups may be a bit more "clunky." Despite that, I've created four (4) different groups with 2 different hour structures, and it was working fabulously! I did think I could live with the free version of the software, but the loss of the calendar sync feature is the biggest reason I've now decided to make the $/month investment. When trying Acuity Scheduling out under their free trial, really get into as many of the features as applicable for your business so you can make an informed decision about a future investment. In doing so, you can be certain of your choice to invest in this very useful scheduling tool. Pros Mostly User Friendly, Syncing Feature for Multiple Calendars, Creating Multiple "Groups," & Email Reminders Cons Groups: when you're schedule varies, you need to add in your availability all over again; no option for a 'cut-and-paste' from an existing group's calendar and then add/subtract time as needed. Pros We use the Acuity Scheduler to schedule all of our demos of our applications to potential clients. The multiple options I have offer the flexibility we need to match the expectations of our clients and Sales Staff. The interface is easy to use and set up new classes or webinars easy for everybody involved. It's ability to interface with Outlook, our Sales Website and Email Campaigns is spot on. I would recommend this software to anybody who needs to schedule their sales calls, support webinars to hosting classes. Acuity is the first and only option. So I was happy to find that feature on here. I also like that the site refers you to other apps that help you even more when it comes to creating a rewards system and gives you so many other ideas and tips on how to grow your business even more. Which helps a lot and is appreciated for individuals like myself who are just starting out and learning as we go! Pros Being able to post photographs of services offered is a plus for me because I do so many different things and the photos give clients a good idea of what they are booking for. Creating add-ons for services. The ability to customize your deposit amount for services. Terms & Conditions feature! Favorite feature. It shows clients that you are serious about your business and professional. Cons The only thing I didn’t like was trying to edit the appearance of my booking site. I had difficulty making certain things “Bold” or in “Italics” because it wasn’t showing me a preview of whether or not the words were doing what I wanted them to do before completing the edit. Also, Acuity approved meeting attendence because they make it easy to remind customers about about appointments and to reschedule independently when needed. Pros Acuity scheduling is easy to use and has a lot of detailed features to make scheduling refined by the person taking appointments, availability, and types of appointments. Their ability to buffer time, control availability, and integrate with other calendars and meeting softwares have been immensely helpful. Cons Sometimes I wish they offered live support, but their answers to written communications are always prompt and their questions library is extensive. Reason for choosing Acuity Scheduling I had found Acuity in my previous company because we had zero budget and Acuity had a free option. That saved our lives!
