Director, Digital Transformation Automotive Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Robust Scheduling Platform with Great Built In Integrations" December 16, 2025 4.0 Acuity filled the scheduling gap where we needed it. As we grew the business, it provided us with quick wins in standing up a new business model that required dynamic scheduling across multiple platforms including M365, Postgresql and Retool. It provided a high level of visibility into daily schedules. Pros Acuity Scheduling integrated well into the process and tools we were using. Combined with low-code/no-code platforms, Acuity was flexible enough to support a multi-user environment, requiring minimal administrative functions. Cons Integration and Configuration did take longer than we had expected, but once the processes were fully mapped and we understood the interactions between Acuity, Retool, Outlook and our Postgresql backend, it became very easy to manage. The only real issue that we ran into is the inability for an Admin to manage the actual configurations for the end-users. Acuity requires that the end user participate in the connection between Outlook and Acuity. It's not a horribly difficult process, but would have been much more streamline had the Acuity Admin been able to execute the entire process on his own. I love that clients can book themselves online, it automatically adjusts for time zones, and it sends reminders, which saves me so much time and reduces no-shows Cons What I liked least about Acuity Scheduling is that some of the more advanced features, like reporting or customizations, can be a bit tricky to set up. Cons That it changed the email confirmation that goes to customers where you cant easily add it to your calendar. Now you have to download the appointment to add to your calender. Cons The SOAP note capabilities was the only con that I can think of; being able to take thorough notes is crucial for us and the way notes are setup for sessions was a bit time consuming. It would be a waste of money for larger ones. Memberships were a headache. Learning it on your own is not fun. Pros Easy booking for clients, but the downside is that since clients don't have to create a log in, they will end up booking under multiple accounts using their different emails. Cons YOU ARE ON YOUR OWN. NO PHONE SUPPORT. Not ideal for larger companies who want to do subscription memberships, it's very limiting and messy. Calendly now has that integration of course now, too, but at the time, I was manually sending the zoom link to my contacts and so I searched for a better tool and Acuity was it. Pros That they offer the 'add to google calendar' feature as opposed to (or in addition to??) the inconvenient .ics file. Cons The cost. I switched to another tool because Acuity was double the price with almost the same features. Pros What I like about Acuity Scheduling the most is that it integrates seemingly with other platforms that I use everyday, such as Google suite, and Outlook. it also allows me to create meeting links on Google Meets too which makes the integration so useful! I mainly use the tool to schedule calls and tech consultations with clients. Cons What I like least about Acuity Scheduling is that there is very little customization available. Customizations require CSS/HTML, which non-tech savy users may find inconvenient or difficult to implement changes with.
