Pros The best thing about this tool, without a doubt, is that other people can see your agenda and organize a meeting from the free schedules that they see, without the need to pass the information by email constantly. Customer Support is excellent and establishing certain meeting rules is very useful so as not to overload. It's so user friendly, for me and my clients. For how simple it is, it is quite customize-able. I love how easily it integrates with my website, and I love being able to send clients a short, easy-to-remember link. The ability to customize the intake questions makes everything quicker for me, with less back-and-forth and NO paperwork! I haven't found many products that work so well for lactation specific providers. I'm so glad I found Acuity! Pros I love how simple and easy to use it is. The look of the scheduling page that my clients see is so streamlined and I can customize it just enough to suit my needs. I love that I can get a simple, easy-to-remember link to send my clients and it's very easy for them to use. Cons Obviously, I wish more features were free... but you can't have everything, I guess. If clients could pay when they book on the free plan, this would be the perfect program. My hope is that this will help me book more clients, then I can justify an upgrade. This helps keep everything in one place. Pros I love being able to talk to all employees and even making group chats. You can have meetings and create different groups. There is even a place for shared documents. I know there is more to use but have not used all of it at this time. I'm very glad for the resource. Pros Acuity Scheduling is everything we need. They've taken what is a very complicated platform with all of its requirements and variables and made it simple. What I've loved more than anything is the customer support. When I didn't know what to do, they responded quickly and it was always clear and they are always so kind. I never felt like I was bothering them, they were always excited to help. That goes a very long way. Cons Can't think of much. I’m looking to upgrade from the free version to be able to link paypal and send email confirmations to be able to send new clients intake forms/contracts. I looked for quite some time on how to set up those features before finding out those are upgraded versions. Pros I love how easy it has been to set up and use. It seems like most things are laid out in a way that’s easy to find. There’s enough settings to feel customizable to my needs but not too many that it feels overwhelming. I like that my shareable link is right in the menu bar, making it easy to send to clients. The calendar display is simple and effective. Cons I’ve found some settings to be hard to find, some times multiple clicks away in sub-categories, but I mostly attribute this to my inexperience with the app. Reason for choosing Acuity Scheduling The training program I’m in said that 99% of their trainee’s use Acuity, or eventually switch to Acuity. The interface is clean and uncluttered and easy to navigate, and they've managed to achieve this without sacrificing functionality. There really isn't much Acuity can't do for an appointment or class-based business, and they are charging a very reasonable monthly subscription fee with no additional percentage-of-revenue fees when you use card processing. Cons I initially looked at Acuity for my tuition business, and for me the one critical feature it lacks is the ability to group clients into families, so that parents can manage their children's accounts via their own 'manager' account. As a business that has several packages at different price points, I wanted something that I could use with Square. So far Acuity is the best find. I tried installing 'free' plug-ins on WordPress, and I looked for things at a cheaper price point (and found some at a higher price point). I think as a small business, it's incredibly affordable and as a designer, it's extremely easy to embed and work with. (some of the higher priced comparisons were hard to figure out and embed into the site and the free ones just couldn't create packages and organize them the way I wanted). What's nice about it is it takes care of the separate packages and allows me to transact them through Square without forcing me into another payment processor. Pros Easy to use, easy to figure out for a first-timer, easy to embed as a designer, (skip the plug-in for WordPress and use the iframe embed that the site gives you), and the price point is lower than most and offers an easier system to use Cons There is a lot of 'repeat' and triple checking things on the site. For example, figuring out HOW to create and organize your package requires you to visit several pages and create several 'pieces' to create the 'whole'. Once it's done, it looks great. I am using the free version as it has everything I need right now but the monthly cost is inexpensive and is there when I decide to upgrade. This works perfectly with my schedule as my working days and hours vary. It also helps that the acuity allows my clients to book with the length of the service and my availabilities in mind which reduces the risk of overbooking. I love the fact that clients can also book themselves and the scheduling page can be customized to how you would like it to look if your want your scheduling page to match your branding. Cons Nothing was too difficult to use. An improvement could be to find a way to automatically calculate how much money was made or a way to record sales for ease of data gathering for my business. It is relatively easy to use and I love the ability to customize the view to align with my brand. The ability to offer individual services or packages through the tool has given me the flexibility I need to customize how I serve my clients needs. Another great feature is the ability to set up private services that are not available to the public for specific clients. Lastly, I love the customizable link that I can share via messaging tools or social media with my clients to take them directly to the booking page. Cons There are really no cons. The software is excellent. A feature enhancement that I would love to see is the ability to manage multiple divisions through one user interface versus having separate accounts.
