November 9, 2020 5.0 Pros This software is a great bonus to have for our organization. It allows our whole organization to see what all of our different locations have scheduled without being overwhelming. Everything is color coded perfectly and the site is very user friendly. Cons When adding a client, they are able to edit their appointments which does not work for our agency. Our agency sets our clients appointments and we cannot enter our client's email address into Acuity or it will give them access to edit their appointments. I wanted to see if the free version would work well for me which doesn't include and some of the features such as payments and automatic emails and realise these work so well and save me time with my business so will be going for one of the packages again. I have already recommended Acuity to some of my friends who have a business. Clients can go to one place now and book appointments with me. I really feel like this is going to take my business to the next level. Pros This software is easy to use. I love how you customize basically everything. Acuity Scheduling is going to keep me very organized and it's just what I needed. Cons I don't really have any at this time. Has the potential to be a very useful piece of software. They try to be young and hip, and keep uptodate with the trends. Integrates with a variety of other popular software. Cons A lot of the functions are hard to work out how to use to their optimum. Lack of telephone customer service to assist. Lack of video instructions. Only email customer service. Both are fantastic bits of software but Acuity fits my business model better. The support I have received has been fantastic, also the walkthrough articles are clear and easy to follow if you want to set up integration with other software. The pricing for Acuity is great and I have been able to add users without a massive hike in price paid. Multiple calendars, multiple services, subscriptions, emails and so on. I'm a personal trainer and nutrition coach so I have different packages and services that I offer. With Acuity I could use one calendar for my personal training and one for my group fitness classes. I could ask clients who were booking personal training different questions than those who were booking my group fitness classes. I'm sure there are better explanations out there than this. But what I'm saying is for a service business especially it's fantastic. You can customize each service that you offer. Especially if each service requires a different form that needs to be completed or is offered at a different time. Cons There weren't really an cons for me. Because there are so many features it can be a bit of a learning curve trying to figure out how to make sure you customize your services appropriately and make sure that each customer sees what they're supposed to see when they schedule. It's not totally intuitive, so you do need to use the guides and the customer service if you're just starting out and not very techy. March 13, 2019 5.0 Pros This is great - I've worked with a few clients that use Acuity and it simplifies their workflow massively, even allowing clients to book in themselves which means they don't have to phone up! It's great for the end-users being able to see at-a-glance what the availability is, and businesses can block out times they don't want bookings, or even add "pretend" bookings to seem more in-demand (oooh, bit cheeky...!) Cons It's only on the very top plan that you get to remove the branding from the widget, which means that if it doesn't fit in with the design or branding of your website, you either have to suck it up or pay for extra features you don't need. When someone makes an appointment to speak with my company I love that we are not playing phone tag. Efficiency is POWERFUL. Pros I most liked the "let's Walk Through Section". I can appreciate the step by step process. I would have to admit I had to watch the steps about 3xs for me to understand the flow of the setup. However, after the 3rd time watching, I have a better understanding. Cons I did not like that certain feature were not available to me at the Free level. May 29, 2020 4.0 Overall, having one place for my clients to book appointments, ask questions, and communicate is the reason I love Acuity Scheduling! Pros Acuity Scheduling is incredible! Highly customizable and easier to implement advanced features. Setting up my availability to creating appointment types, and email templates has been a breeze. I love the little extra features like the Make me look busy, ability to set regular hours/specific days, variety of different payment options, and the extra personalization customizing email templates, booking pages, etc. Cons The only features I feel are missing and would love to see more improved is the design of the intake form questions. I would love to see more form types similar to Google forms with linear scale (0-10), date of birth, other comment text boxes (if OTHER is selected in a checklist), and also limits on what data can be entered e.g. numbers/text to help clients avoid inputting in mistakes. I love that all I have to do is send my patients to my acuity site, and they can self schedule, fill out forms, enter payment info and pay, cancel appointments or reschedule, and, most importantly, pre-fill out their paperwork! This saves me so much time, logistically, and because I'm just starting out it has already empowered me and brought a level of professionalism to my practice, even though it is still in the beginning stages. I can't wait to see what else Acuity can do for me! Pros I like the ease of use and general simplicity of Acuity. There is a lot of room to dig deep and really flesh out your schedule, as well as being able to personalize it. One of the main selling points to me is just how clean and clear-cut everything is. Very user-friendly. Cons The full, complete set-up takes a while to finish, ie creating forms, appointment types, etc, but once set up everything falls into place. That'about it. I tried a lot of scheduling applications and non of them were meeting my needs. This one is just the Best in many ways. Pros So far in the short time I’ve been using the platform, I find it easy to navigate around. I like that you can add payment into the booking and it integrates well with other programs. Cons I’m still learning the platform, I would say instead of having a few different types of booking .. to have more of a generic calendar to embed. However as mentioned I’m still learning platform. Pros I love the payment integration to keep new clients coming in. We had a no show issue before integrating the payment portion. It also can put clients into a google doc so we can track new people and follow up with them. Patients always like to pick their own appointment and this was an easy way to get that going. I don't have to manipulate reach out to clients for reminders. Pros What I like most about the software is the automation. Clients can sign up for service, pay and the program will take of the rest such as terms and conditions, questionnaire, email, and text reminder with Zoom links for virtual meetings. You update all the info once and add it to whatever service it needs to be added to. No additional emails, or payments needed. They offer subscriptions as well which is good for recurring clients. Cons I don't have any at the moment as I am still in my trial and excited about everything. If this changes I will come back to update my review.
