I am currently on the free version, which provides enough features to get started and once my business grows, upgrading to the next version will certainly be worth the investment. Customers appreciate professionalism and I feel the software does this well. Pros I like how the software integrates easily with the applications that I currently use. Especially Zoom during COVID. I like the tutorials which aid with setting up - this means I can do things outside of business hours and not have to rely on waiting to speak to someone. Also a great resource to refer back to, to refresh my memory. Also happy that I can customise, and templates are already created, reducing my time spent on admin down. Cons I haven't spent a great deal of time exploring all the features. The availability calendar wasn't as intuitive as I'd expected, so making amendments for me was a little tricky. Reason for choosing Acuity Scheduling I went with Acuity as it integrates with Squarespace. Photographer Photography Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "My experience " November 18, 2019 5.0 Pros Once I found my way it was quite very easy to set up the bookings for my Santa Experience sessions. I have not used an online booking system before so this was a great experience for me. I was able to put all the details that my clients needed right in front of them not just a short version. The clients had the details of the sessions and where able to pick their own time and date for their session without the back and forth messages. It was quick and easy for them to pay and know their spot was secure. I definitely recommend Acuity Scheduling, the ease of the program for someone like me who is not very tech savvy was brilliant. Cons The restrictions on the payment method was probably my least favourite thing. Only having the options for either Strip or PayPal I did find frustrating for me. I set up a Strip account but still waiting from that so in the end I went with the PayPal option. I like that I now have a record of all their visits as that would have become impossible to track as I get busier. Pros Was very easy to set up and seems pretty straight forward. I like that you have the option to upgrade and downgrade as necessary as I have previously used other platforms where it wasn't possible to downgrade without complete cancellation. Cons I find the app a bit fiddly and the calendar confuses me. Why does it always say today even though I have moved to another date in the calendar? There is no integration with GoCardless which would be nice as I could then integrate my existing subscribers. Customers like that and I've not had any issues. Occasionally I misunderstand some of the functionalities and it does take me a while to figure it out. But if I'm really stuck, I find that the Help search is helpful and CS has always been very friendly and helpful when I need to contact time. The cost is affordable and so that enables me to continue. Pros Automate scheduling, especially for clients who are more introverted and prefer to reach out without calling. Cons Some of the settings still feels quite hidden to me even after a couple of years of monthly logins, perhaps it is because I'm only average or below average in terms of tech literacy. I offer all three types so it would be hugely helpful bf or the client to have the option when set their appointment. Instead I have a comment box on the intake form for each appt that allows them to indicate which appt type they prefer. Pros I switched to acuity from calendy and it was a great decision. The software is intuitive, I know right where to go to set my schedule and to change it, to send customized links to my clients. It is so easy to use. Cons I wish the free version offered calendar syncing, or there was a cheaper option to include this. Pros The fact that it eliminates the need for me to go back and forth to set appointment times with clients. I also like that it tracks the meetings that I have had and makes it easy to go back and track previous appointments. Cons It takes quite a while to set up and figure out how everything works, but once you get things up and running it is pretty easy to use. I dislike that I cannot see all appointments in a day without scrolling downward. I wish (magic wand) that there was a widget that I could download so I could see my schedule on my phone without having to log into accuity scheduling. Reason for choosing Acuity Scheduling I started using it because I had to log onto Accuity to schedule an appointment with my Personal coach, and this is what she was using. I love that in the free trial for Emerging Entrepreneur I could connect my calendar and Acuity would schedule around my existing appointments. the basic plan is pretty great too (i mean, its free so it actually awesome) What I love most is the email notification I get and the confirmation the people booking receive. It gives such a professional front to the business and I want to keep sending people to my booking link to book in times for all kinds of things! Cons Some of the functions are hidden in weird spots - it may make more sense for larger orgs but for small and single traders, managing preferences out of the 'calendar' section is a bit weird. Would love to be able to customise the layout for the page where people choose what booking type they would like to make.
