The personalized link made it easy to be shared on my social media platforms for easy visibility. Pros Acuity helped me capture my leads information and followed me up through email to ensure I attend to the booked calls. It was smooth to use and has helped me position my business professionally. I can book my calls and integrate them into my calendar. It also helped me stay organized in that I schedule to book calls at my own available time. Health, Wellness and Fitness Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Has some shortcomings" November 1, 2016 3.0 We have just starting using this app for my business which books people in for private appointments, group classes and retreats and workshops. We have identified the following major shortcomings. 1. Does not have a waiting list function for courses and workshops which are fully booked 2. The most annoying glitch is that when people book up for say a 5 day workshop, it acts as if each day is a separate appointment. It sends out a separate reminder for each day, and in its interaction with Xero, our accounting software if generates a separate invoice for each day. This is REALLY ABSURD and REALLY ANNOYING. 3. In its interaction with our accounting software we are unable to specify a code for the different transactions. It means that we have to go to each invoice and put in our correct code before sending the invoice. Pros Fairly easy to set up Most of our clients don't have trouble booking Connects to our accounting software (but we then need to process the invoices manually before they are sent out. Cons 1\. No waiting list function 2. I also like the fact that this blocks off time frames in my schedule when other events are occurring, for the same reason. Cons I dislike the fact that, in order to keep some of the same functionality that I originally enjoyed, like the sinking of calendars , Etc oh, I must pay quite a price to continue. This software allows me to send an email with the link attached to the list of clients I want to meet with and they self schedule the meeting. No more back-and-forth if I am available at 11:00 or not... they just click the link and schedule away! I've been using for months and cannot be happier! Pros Ease of use by the end user. This software is very easy for the end user to schedule a meeting. Built-in functions also allow the user to easily adapt the scheduling to appear how they want, which aligns best with the type of meetings that will be requested. It's easy to use and works really well for me and my small beauty studio business. I like that I can customize reminders and follow up emails and clients can book themselves and I can keep their card on file. Cons I really wish that I could further customize the booking page. I haven't been using Acuity for long, but it's easy to use, for both myself and my clients, and I enjoy that it gives my website so many options to customize my booking site to suit my Business requirements as been able to add payments, and that it allows me to customize the homepage and email confirmation. It's a great product for helping me improve my scheduling of therapy sessions. I have attended webinars. I have spent several hundred hours forming this. Then, on the day I was going to make the live, the only day in my awful schedule that I had to do this, my acuity account disappeared, and of course, NO SUPPORT. I have no way to back up my work using their system, something I have never liked, so for all I know I have just lost a huge investment of my time. The amount of stress this has caused me can never be reversed. I was offered 4 months of free service to do this review. Pros The system is POWERFUL. July 2, 2020 5.0 Overall my experience with Acuity Scheduling has been exactly in line with what I had hoped and it has met my immediate needs. There is the potential now to add some further features to my experience such as payments which I am keen to explore. Pros As a solo practitioner who can't quite justify a full time receptionist, I needed a means for allowing clients to book different types of appointments and have them sync with my primary online dairy. Acuity Scheduling allows me to define the times available to different types of clients and provide them with a link to my schedule which is relevant to them. This has worked brilliantly for me. Acuity emails me with a summary of appointments made and allows for information about the client and the appointment to be collected. Cons There were a couple of settings that I needed to carefully work out to get the functionality I needed. Cons Compared to other scheduling service options out there, I really have no complaints other than their first price-point could be a bit lower. Cons The system seems to reset it's settings every now and then... for example, I didn't receive confirmation emails for a few days when people were scheduling. My email was removed from the dashboard and I did not know... and I missed appointments ! Need to keep an eye on those settings that they stay current ! Now that they've been acquired by Squarespace though, the integration with my Squarespace site makes it a no brainer. Cons When I was just getting started, I wished they had a free plan, which is why I started with calendly. Calendly was super restrictive though on the free plan, so it wasn't long before I needed a better plan anyhow. I cringe when I need to use yet another software, app, device etc. If it's not an Apple product made easily to use than I won't touch it with a 10-foot pole (sorry PC lovers). Acuity is like the Apple product of online scheduling. It is so easy to understand and use. You don't need to research a bunch of Youtube videos learning another new skill, when you're already overwhelmed learning all the other tech skills you undoubtedly don't know. Using this service has been a game changer. It has helped me to grow my business by taking me from amateur business owner with mediocre results to true entrepreneur with great results. If you want to up your game, be taken seriously by other businesses, streamline your tasks, AND not have to get study for hours before using it- this is for you! I've used Acuity as a client booking appointments and I love how straightforward it is. I've also used Acuity as an administrator and I really like all of the different functions and options to create different appointment types, customizable emails, etc. It's so great to have an automatic software that takes care of all the emails and reminders so that as an administrator I can focus on delivering to my clients instead of being stressed sending out emails. I've already recommended Acuity to multiple people. Cons Honestly, there isn't much I don't like about Acuity. It's easy to use, accessible and very straightforward. The only thing I would say is to make some more options accessible for the free plan for those that can't afford it but would still like to use the software. My previous scheduler brought up an entire page of my services where people had to scroll around and choose. I am pretty sure I lost of few signups because of overwhelm. Cons What do I like least?
