Acuity offers an easy to set-up system that allows you to do that plus you are able to start for free. One of the biggest challenges about having a business is all of the overhead that comes with it until you make a profit. I have seen other companies offer a free option, but it isn't user-friendly. Acuity seems to understand that you need a partner in this area and is willing to be just that. Acuity offers several options to integrate with email, CRM, accounting, and other products you already use in a way that will not overwhelm but streamline the process. Cons The only area that I find hard to setup is the calendar. In Acuity's defense, it just might be based on my limited availability so I have to work a little harder to set it up. I felt in love the first time I started using because it integrates with my Wix website and also PayPal and the main thing is that allows my customer to schedule their appointments without the need to create any account. The amazing part also is being able to create a form with mandatory questions to be answered in order to book the appointment. I just love it! Cons I wish it could have an area do manage the clients profile so I could keep control of their services and everything related their financial status as well. The bad thing now is that I have to have 2 management softwares to control all my business. I was using a different scheduling service (Calendly), but ultimately chose Acuity Scheduling because it felt like a better fit for my company and my needs. I also love the humor you'll find sprinkled around the website in customer service and help and support. Cons For me the price was a bit steep as a business just starting out, but ultimately worth it. August 19, 2020 5.0 Pros I use the free plan currently, and it has been very helpful in keeping my calendar organized and up-to-date. I've received some remarks from colleagues and prospective clients that the scheduler is awesome! I love that it allows me to create an event on my preferred calendar that is already pre-populated, saving me time. Cons Although it doesn't happen often, there are instances where some prospective clients find the scheduler confusing or cannot figure out how to set the appointment. I believe it's the step in selecting the time and then the prompt appears whether you want to continue, setup a recurring appointment, or add a time. I believe the "Add a time" option confuses the clients because they might feel they've already selected a time, even the "Add a time" option actually allows clients to simply set another appointment alongside the first one. It works well for setting up simple meetings and even has some flexibility about types and lengths. It also integrates with my calendars which is a great feature. Cons If you are trying to use Acuity for scheduling research interviews with multiple categories of coded participants Acuity does not have sufficient tools to meet your needs. My team signed up for Acuity to help register dozens of interviewees broken into 8 groups, we were able to create the slots but we could not limit participation by participant code. At least, I and our IT services folks resolved after two days of configuration that it couldn't perform this function. Review Source Anik D. My biggest decision to stick with them is that I can tell they are trying to better the user experience. Including the "busy" option that limits your availability. Pros Easier to change availability than calendly. To me everything is laid out easier for me to understand. I know that it can handle follow up appointment and has unique features that will really help as I grow. Also, their customer service is very prompt and thorough in responses. Cons At first I found it hard to navigate even though it had an easy step by step process. For some reason I wanted an easier path to see my calendar. People are not lining up at the reception and we can pre-screen some of them without them to come to the office. I went from old school doing everything in person to now being able to have my business synced and automated! What a great addition to my business. Pros 1) Clients can schedule their own session (One thing I hate about the business I’m in is the back and forth texts and emails between clients trying to schedule a date and time for a session. Now I don’t have to do that anymore! This software lets me set my schedule to a calendar online and clients can now choose their own date and time from this!) 2) Clients can pay online before the session (I was always doing things the old school way and accepting cash or check at the session. If clients didn’t pay, I simply didn’t deliver. But now with Acuity, they can pay me by card online and it’s a direct deposit. This is wonderful!) 3) Acuity lets me send reminder messages to clients (Reminders to pay and reminders of their session date and time) Cons It’s a little expensive in my opinion. You have to pay more per month to get the reminder feature in your package. Basically, that’s the tier 3 level when tier 2 is only a calanedar function and their 1 is simply a trial. The integrated payment features that we set to require payment up front has slashed our no-show rate by almost 75%! We also have complex scheduling needs based on the size, sex, and species of animal and Acuity was able to handle it all! They consistently "wow" me with the features of their product, excellent customer service, and ridiculously low pricing. I've also recommended them to hairdresser and brow lady b/c I love them so much! Anybody I meet with a scheduling need, I don't hesitate to recommend Acuity. Pros \-the ability to handle complex scheduling needs and limits -super low price -super responsive and thorough customer service Cons The only con I can think of is that it takes a little time to learn (like any new system). Is has the ability to create multiple types of appointments during specific availabile hours, and also allows me to send scheduling links for specific appointment types depending on what stage of my workflow my client is in. I have tried several others and this one is the best I have found. I love having categories set up and different events they can choose from. I can send my entire calendar or a direct link to a specific meeting. This has saved me tons of scheduling time. Pros I love being able to send a direct link to my calendar and recipients can choose a time that works for them. No going back and forth with email to find a time that works for both of us. I have had a higher success rate of getting things scheduled with one email. Cons When I schedule an all day event for busy on my Google calendar, it doesn’t recognize it with acuity. I also travel for work and have events schedule for different time zones and it still has option for 8:00 am meeting if I am in Colorado and begin at 9. I have business hours set for 8-5. Our team uses this to help us schedule appointments for our clients and overall we've been happy with the integrations and ease of use. It syncs up nicely with Google calendar which is the main reason we use it. Cons Can't say we've run into many issues with the software. I have trialed and looked into several programs and chose Acuity in the end, mainly due to it's ability to synch with google calendar which is easier to manage my schedule when it varies considerably. Pros 1) Google calendar synch. My schedule changes regularly so this feature is amazing 2) Link to stripe payments. This has saved me the hassle of asking for payment after seeing clients which increases the time I can spend with them Cons 1) All the features are there! However it's a little difficult to find what I need. 2) I still need to have additional software which keeps patient notes. Pros We have no desire to switch over to Office 365, so it was nice that Acuity integrated with Exchange accounts. We have an in-house IT team that set up the accounts, but the help articles were very easy to read and follow. Cons Although the email support is very helpful and fast, I do wish they had phone support. I only needed support due to the fact that we have multiple calendars/users to set up. Acuity has definitely helped in that sense as it does so many things in one. Pros I love the ease of use with Acuity and how seamlessly you can fit it into your business. My business model needs loads of different appointment types – some are for paid services, others for interviews – so I need things to be intuitive and agile. Acuity is the best option I've found so far. I also love how slick it looks. I have the scheduler embedded on my website and use it in my email signature too and it looks really professional. Cons I'd love to see a lower priced version of the paid software. I don't need much more than the free plan offers and would be happy to pay for it but there isn't really a middling level for me. Cons I can't easily set up packages of appointments and book in appointments for the client which are then deducted from the package. Instead I have to track the package use in a separate program.
