Sr Associate Financial Services Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Two time TriNet User" February 24, 2022 4.0 Besides the confirming issue, as an end user I genuinely liked TriNet. However, I've had to employers that used them and both switched out from using them because of pricing. Pros TriNet has the best user facing website. It is so easy to navigate, it's fun, it's bright, everything is straight forward. They write their explanations in layman terms, they are thorough and they break it down for those that don't understand what they are reading or looking at. Cons They refused to confirm my employment via phone because it was against their policy. It delayed my mortgage. They need to change their policy because it was really not right. They do an automatic PDF of confirming employment but anyone can forge a PDF so most banks don't take it. It was really frustrating not getting someone on the phone and it costs me money for the delay. Review Source Aspen B. Our old system was much better! Pros It gets the job done! Other than that there is not much I like about it, they did add a mobile app which is a plus and slightly more convenient. Cons You have to upload receipts one at a time! This is annoying and takes forever! Entering a report is anything but streamlined and easy! I would recommend them to any new starter company who needs support across multiple features (Payroll, PTO, Expense and Applicant Tracking, Benefits, etc) but as soon as you hit a certain number of employees you will want to manage some of those features yourself due to cost. Pros User-friendly and easy enough to navigate. Cons It was obvious in the user experience that TriNet had acquired other companies/features in their effort to provide features to their customers. The training and expense tracking would redirect to a separate interface with a separate look/experience. May 21, 2020 3.0 Good if your company was using nothing for HR accounting software--but TriNet has its own problems. Luckily they have good customer service. Pros Lots of coverage options and pretty well integrated with their insurance (primarily heathcare) options. Lots of other marketplace options for entertainment--but I don't use those. Cons Some inaccurate numbers for California payroll taxes--not sure why but TriNet had inaccurate numbers withheld on my paystubs. TriNet also becomes your "employer" which I am guessing is going to complicate your taxes a bit. Lacks 401K integration. Review Source TD Traci D. They've helped us tremendously. Highly recommend. Pros I love the idea of automating all performance reporting, reviews, goals etc. We are using this to help our entire company function more efficiently. It also allows for 360 reviews which is a huge plus. The software is really nice and high quality. Cons It's missing daily reporting functionality. In our business each team member reports 1-3 KPI's daily and we want to use Trinet perform for this but goals can't be set to repeat on a daily basis. Please consider this KPI functionality as I know many companies would love this. And if you can build a simple mobile app to make the daily reporting even easier we'd love that too. Pros I really like that I can see everything in a central place from our employee handbook to my health benefits and upcoming pay dates. So i signed up online, pulled out my phone and downloaded the app and bam !! i was using it in less than 10 min. No pain and no hassle which is what you want with any app your new to. There is a lot to it depending on what your company has opted into. Cons The customer support is not the best and their processes for doing certain things are overly complex in assuming this is because of internal structure. Also the site is often buggy. TriNet expense allows the user to connect the credit to track expenses and build a expense report from those uploaded expenses for easy submission to Manager. TriNet's efficiency and ease of use has enabled our firm to effectively allocate scarce resources. Pros Since I work for a start-up, we employed a third-party HR system, such as Trinet. TriNet made the onboarding process incredibly easy in terms of selecting benefits, implementing direct deposit, etc. I've used a variety of such systems in my career, and TriNet was by far, the easiest to use. Specifically, Trinet provides a "cost calculator" when you're asked to choose contribution levels for disability, insurance, etc; the calculator was invaluable in making informed decisions. Cons I honestly have no cons. Trust me, I usually have something critical to add about any product, but not in this case. It has been really helpful specially through selecting the benefits. Pros There are several platform to take the training and their customer service and technical supports is pretty good. I would like to see a more customizable reporting structure that can utilize drop and drag, as well as a more customizable review section for weekly reviews and the ability to employees to sign off on delivery of the reviews. We are also making our reports more interactive with filters, as well as the ability to customize and save report templates. As for sign offs, soon we'll be putting digital signatures into the review workflow, so managers and employees can comment and sign off on the finalized report. We had considered the weekly review and thought it might be a little too frequent for employees, and instead focused our attention on real time Feedback, however, it's great to hear that you value that type of frequency in a review, and we'll add that to our frequencies. Easy to use. Customer service is always nice. The Step by step process is easy to understand and can always call them. Cons The app doesn't always work. Sometimes when talking to customer service, one representative will show how to solve an issue. However, if the issue occurs again in the future, a different represenative will say that the previous way of fixing it was incorrect. The software was easy to use and you could quickly find the information you needed when you needed it such as when you are standing at the reception desk at the Dentist office. We used TriNet Hire to keep track of new hires through our three round interview process. Cons Sometimes we had applicants who needed to submit documents. Pros I had never heard of Trinet before using it. However, once I did it blew my mind. It was easy to use. Contained all features and services needed for an HR and Payroll system.
