We use it mainly for document management, change control, CAPAs and training, and it has made audits and inspections easier because all the information is in one place and properly linked. The implementation required time and internal effort, but once our processes were configured and users trained, the day-to-day work became more structured and transparent. It’s not a “perfect” tool, but it has significantly improved our compliance posture and reduced the risk of missing critical quality activities. Pros The biggest advantage of Dot Compliance is having a single, centralized platform to manage quality processes and documentation. It’s much easier to keep everything audit-ready: documents, changes, CAPAs, deviations and training records are all connected and traceable. The workflows are configurable enough to match our internal processes, and the notifications/reminders help keep tasks from falling through the cracks. I also appreciate the validation and compliance mindset of the product. It clearly targets regulated environments, which gives us more confidence during inspections. We have recently done our full implementation of DOT Compliance. While the customization options are generally good there are a lot of processes where transition has been very difficult and challenging. A lot of this stems from insufficient documentation from DOT. Pros Overall fairly customizable. Uses Sales Force which allows reports and dashboards. Broad scope of processes encompassing a lot of areas. Cons Focus on Document/Process Names instead of unique IDs. File naming conventions. Documentation is very bad. Approval Matrix feature needs a lot of work. Mobile is a disaster. There are issues that make the document revision process more difficult when compared to Trackwise but some benefits that make things easier. Pros I like that there is not a separate document and change side of Dot and that everything is done in one place for a document change. I also like that a document can be rejected back at any part in the document revision process. Cons There are several glitches at different parts during the document revision process. For example, sometimes when pushing a document from open to pending review or from feedback consolidation to pending approval, the document reverts back to a previous version. Additionally sometimes the documents will render incorrectly causing things to get rejected when there is nothing actually wrong with the document. Please could you try to improve the training item. Pros The interface is pretty and seems to be easy to use at first sight The videos showing, explaining some process are usefull. Cons \- Whenever you create a classroom, if you clone it and forget to delete the attachment, you cannot delete it from the clone classroom. - we cannot extract in one file all the training for different classrooms that have the same name, we have to extract each training individually - It is not very intuitve - All the delete classrooms or courses are visible and should be put in an archive document and not in the listing. The customer support really cares and makes sure you feel seen and understood. I would recommend Dot Compliance. Cons The only con I can think about is the training sign off system. Having to log Into your email every time to sign off of the training is frustrating. The number of groups within the company that utilize DOT has grown every year. People are very happy with their results and the learning curve is small. Many videos and documents are available for training. Pros The software leads you down a path of compliance. If you just follow the way they makers intend it to be used, you will never have a compliance issue. Cons Master Documents are sometimes difficult to import, especially if they start out in a non-pdf format. Reason for choosing Dot Compliance price and functionality.
