"Very Strong Prospecting and Lead Generation Software"

Overall: Customer Service is great and the software itself is best-in-class (have reviewed many other solutions).

Pros: I really enjoy the differentiated way in which the application scrapes the web for new companies. This helps us cover our bases in terms of making sure we canvass our market.

Cons: No solution in this industry is perfect, but Grata comes as close as any.

"Grata is Great for Target List Building"

Overall: We use Grata to build target lists for buyside private equity searches. The search parameters are easily manipulable and the filters are useful. Using Grata, I can accomplish 8-10 hours of work in 1-2 hours. Company descriptions are always accurate, but not always helpful. Contact information and owner status (public sub, private, sponsor backed) are still not 100% reliable.

Pros: Grata has an exceptional user interface and is very easy to learn and use. The service team is proactive and very quick to respond. Grata provides useful and actionable data in an easy to digest format.

Cons: The similar companies feature needs to be much smarter to be truly useful. Data is only about 90-95% accurate which, while high, can lead to deals lost if not verified. Since there is no way to determine which data may be incorrect, and the accuracy of the data is critical, it is necessary to verify everything. Grata, however, remains a great starting point for target list building and market mapping.

"Right tool for the right use case"

Pros: It is a good tool for finding new companies within a given theme or vertical. The product does a pretty good job of scrubbing sites for the key words you are looking for and then presenting the top companies along with relevant metrics such as the employee count and location.

Cons: Sometimes the platform can pull in some non-relevant results. There is also a lack of contact info which would be really helpful.

Reasons for Switching to Grata: SourceScrub was way to expensive and I was only getting marginal benefit from it a year in.

"It is all about the search"

Overall: I've had a great onboarding and user experience. Most of my interns and associates also seem to prefer their solution!

Pros: I've either demo'd or purchased most systems out on the market and spent many $$$ on data. The reality is that most are difficult to navigate and search. Because of the approach Grata takes there are more words to search and you get better results. Grata quickly is becoming my first stop among data option because of their powerful search functionality.

Cons: Some companies have teams 500+ associates entering data on companies. Grata seems to pull most of their data from online sources. This makes this like estimated revenue etc not fields you can search.

"Good Product"

Pros: Easy integration and onboarding. Responsive troubleshooting. Search function is simple and easy. Data is as comprehensive or better than anyone else in the market.

Cons: There are some filters that are still hard to use and techniques for building lists that are not intuitive. More specifically, it is difficult to exclude companies that you have already seen or don't fit the search criteria.

"Best in class deal sourcing platform"

Pros: Grata made researching companies in the healthcare space and developing an investment theme very easy. The platform's keyword search helps sort and narrow your search of companies.

Cons: Not much that I can think of! Honestly a great company research platform.

"Great for lower middle market PE"

Overall: Great software for what I need. Extremely helpful customer service. They listen and take advice and features are released quickly.

Pros: It's an easier way to search google, linkedin, and other sources for small businesses.

Cons: They're continually adding features, so the software will get better with time. I would prefer to have a little more info on the linkedin contacts at the companies. Additionally, sometimes the "USA" search filter doesn't work all that well.

"Grata Review"

Pros: Wide net of companies included, ability to add to custom lists (share custom lists with team). Use with salesforce!

Cons: Not difficult to use! Enjoy the platform and with continued use have found it very customizable to the results I am looking for!

"Useful Tool"
