Now that I have a modern phone" December 15, 2022 5.0 They were very understanding of my situation with the I7 and even comped me a drawing because the ones that had been done were so bad. They responded to me quickly and explained the reasons as to why some of my issues were issues and to the best of their ability they were very helpful, even though the issues were clearly with my equipment. Pros Because everything I appraise requires ANSI compliance I still measure each home from the exterior, but this allows me to incorporate an interior floor plan on every one of my appraisals. 35 years ago when I started appraising we did interior floor plans on our drawings, but the requirement got dropped and to speed things up, most appraisers don't do interior walls anymore, However, I still do, and when I am reviewing an appraisal I still want to see how the floor plan flows. There is no longer an excuse to not include a floor plan. Even with my shaky weak hands the process is quick and simple and is value added to your clients. Shhhh don't tell anyone, but they charge extra to get the sketch back in less than a day, but mine typically get back in my inbox before I am back in my office. Granted I work in a semi-rural area, but unless you absolutely have to have it, the turn time is great Cons Does not work well on older phones. My initial attempt using this was with an Iphone-7 and it was not accurate there were numerous errors in the way the perimeter walls were laid out. I know they say it works on older phones, including my I-7, but trust me, don't even attempt it with anything less than a I-12. Anything less and you will get frustrated and decide to not use it, when all you have to do just upgrade 1 level and be in bliss. Review Source JW Jennifer W. The process took time; 1-2 hours to measure & sketch the property on site, then another 1-2 hours to create accurate plans with software.CubiCasa was recommended to me, and has been an absolute game changer. I can now scan a property in minutes, upload in seconds and have more time to spend with my family at night. The floor plans come in perfect, with specialty icons, and the ability to make my own changes quickly & easily.When I do have questions or concerns, the Chat option on their website is available and I've experienced very little wait time to receive a response. Customer Service is outstanding; they recognize the issue and often forward helpful links and videos to further explain issues.Not only has CubiCasa saved me from the process of creating my own floor plans, but now I am able to fit more shoots in per day. Knowing the scanning process takes literally minutes instead of hours allows me to accomodate my Real Estate Agents more easily. I can now accommodate 5 appointments per day, instead of 2-3. Scheduled Agents are happy Agents.I am so grateful that this company excels in the product they offer, and more importantly, have a solid Customer Service team ready for any questions. They continually amaze me, and I am eternally grateful for this company. Pros The scanning process is simple and easy to understand. The company provides attractive & precise floor plans with accurate icons (such as curved staircases, shaped tubs and kitchen islands). The ability to customize and add/delete room labels in Quick Edit is great, and CubiCasa has absolutely fantastic Customer Service. I use the Aryeo platform to deliver my products to my Agents, and I'm able to link CubiCasa directly to Aryeo, which makes uploading incredibly simple. Cons I often submit scans between 3p-5p, and would prefer to have them back prior to leaving for the next morning's shoot appointments. It seems to take close to 18-24 hours. Review Source AW Andy W. Pros It works well, and it's very good in spaces large or small, complex or simple. I have been pleasantly surprised over and over at how well it works in complicated space, even where it's very hard to find room perimiters due to the aount of stuff. Turnaround is fast. Support is great. Ability to make modifications quickly is fantastic. Cons Need more texture options to compete with some of the more customized products that are out there (manual or otherwise). Plain 2D is fine, but people seem to be asking for more stuff (cars in garages, some furniture for scale, different colors/textured floors, etc). August 12, 2020 5.0 Pros My customers LOVE that I am able to provide them with a professional looking floor plan with their photography package. This is been an excellent add-on product for my business and is very popular. Prior to CubiCasa, floor plans were time consuming and/or expensive to create. Using CubiCasa to create floor plans is a no-brainer. Cons I would really like to see the total square footage of the home on these floor plans. I find myself consistently wishing it was calculated, even if it is a close approximation. This should be fairly easy to implement, since it gives you the measurements of the room, and would not only benefit my customers, but also myself (for billing purposes). FD Frank D. photographer Photography Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "great add on that most real estate agents want" January 17, 2023 5.0 As a one man show, it is sometimes difficult to hold onto real estate agents and offices when trying to compete with large companies that can offer agents a one stop shop and volume discounts.I spent most of the pandemic researching those companies and was able to find companies like Cubicasa that offered awesome products at a rate my clients were comfortable with and was profitable based on the amount of time it took to deliver the service. Cubicasa was even able to perfectly layout a hexagonal floorplan! Pros simple to do the scans. even on difficult floorplans, when i'm a bit less confident, it routinely comes back with the precise measurements. My challenges are with extensive facilities (warehouse) when it shuts down on me. Also, I have experienced that in cluttered spaces, the app will shut down on me regardless of if I'm going fast or slow. Pros The app is super easy to use, and as long as you have the AR feature on your device, it's a true lifesaver. I stopped spending hours measuring spaces or even outsourcing them to get a floor plan. Cost-effective and worth the value for sure. Cons I would love to have the option to download it as a CAD file (.dwg) or SketchUp file (.skp). That would make my life easier. Another feature that would be nice to have is a 3D file of the space. Customer service is quick to respond too. Pros Its ease of use is amazing. We all have our phones with us, so it's convenient to log into an app and start making a floor plan. It is that simple. Cons Sometimes the measurements can be off, but I stress to my clients that this should be used to get an idea of how the house flows and where the rooms are located to each other. I would still have them measure the exact rooms, but it definitely gives them the idea of how the house is arranged and if it would be a good fit for their family. Recording the home is a breeze with on screen commands, reminders and then within 24 hours to have a fully fleshed out and detailed floorplan is absolutely incredible. Cons The only real roadblock I've run into is trying to upload the home after finishing the tour (need a strong wifi connection or solid 5G to get it uploaded in a reasonable time) and not being able to add onto the tour once I stopped recording. That's basically what it is to me, I am constantly impressed how well it captures spaces that I think are for SURE going to have an issue. It's amazing that I can capture exterior spaces/structures that aren't connected to the main space...that's a great feature that can't be done by "higher end" cameras. Pros The ease of use is what I like most, it basically walks you through the process and makes it difficult to mess up. Cons If I had to pick something to dislike I would say time it takes to process but it's really not that bad. All agents want everything same hour it's done so... January 18, 2023 5.0 Identifying exact location of issues to resolve to clients without tagging the seller's home. Giving the client a better/more descriptive report. Pros As a Home Inspector, this gives my firm an edge above other home inspectors. When we identify an issue we can point on the map where the issue is. This is better than tagging the seller's home. It is more respectful of the current owner and helps the buyer find the issue. It also may help the buyer decide how best to use their new home! Cons I wish I could identify the styles and materials in each room as well as the appliances which will remain. Also would be great to identify the location of attic access and crawlspace access. Pros The software is simple to use. No need for multiple scans moving the camera several feet for each scan. The process is so very simple. The support is excellent and responses are always prompt, this is critical when you are trying to resolve a client issue. I have recommended this application to fellow photographers. Cons I colour the floor plans myself once I receive the files. Just adds to the detailed floor plans. It has changed my daily workflow and made it so much easier for my clients. Pros I love how easy it is to create a floorplan! Just shoot a quick video and send it in. Easy Peasy!!! Cons My only complaint is that I am too impatient and want instant results. it usually takes about 6 to 8 hours to get the floorplan back. January 16, 2023 5.0 Very good! Pros This software is easy to use, compliant with Fannie Mae and looks very professional in my appraisals. If there are any mistakes, you can do a quick fix yourself or send it back and they will fix it for you. I have found the customer service to be friendly and fast. The sketches usually get to my email in less time than stated. I totally recommend using this. It may seem expensive for a basic sketch, but for larger, more complicated properties properties it saves so much time and meets the ANSI requirements. It also looks very professional in the report. Pros The options offered, including free for a full scan which allows us to offer the service to Agents and lead onto the paid scans. The ease of the scan is incredible. A high level of accuracy especially when using a Lidar equipped iPad. Cons If I'm being picky, a default Country would be nice! January 6, 2023 5.0 I have been watching the LIDAR tech grow over the past few years and have been searching for a platform that is affordable, easy to use, and specific to real estate. When I first came across CubiCasa, I was excited to test it out, and when I saw how affordable it was, I thought it must be too good to be true. Man, was I surprised when I scanned my first house. It took me about 6 minutes to scan a 2300 HSQFT house, and I uploaded the scan before I left the house. I ordered the GLA package and added the upgrades for fixtures and the 6hr process time. Within 4 hours, I had the floor plan with measurements, and I still couldn't believe the accuracy of the measurements (within 14 SQFT of my measurements) and the quality of the floor plan. CubiCasa adds real value to my business by saving me time and money, and my customers will benefit from the additional marketing advantage this floorplan offers. Pros It's easy to use, affordable, accurate and delivers high-quality floor plans. Cons I am not sure if there is anything that I don't like. If I stuck with the old method that I used in drawing out a floor plans for some of the large home, I'd be onsight for hours. With CubiCasa, I can get a LARGE home over 8,000 feet completed in 30 minutes. And the accuracy is fantastic! Pros Couldn't be easier! And when it comes to saving time, NOTHING comes close! Pros Easy to use and floorplans come out great! Customer service is also great and prompt to answer any questions. Cons Editing tools could be better. Would like to be able to zoom in on the pdfs as sometimes the sketch is very small and hard to read the labels. And would like to be able to change room names (some changes don't stick) and/or address without having to contact customer service.
