### "Takes time to learn, but totally worth it."

April 14, 2025

5.0

At the beggining it felt like a lot to figure out, but once I got the hang of it, it became my to-to for managin tasks, sprints and bugs.

Pros

It's insanely powerful for keeping track of most complex projects. Once everything is set up, you've got full visibility of what's going on, what's due and who is doing what.

Cons

It has a big learning curve. It's not very intuitive at first.

### "Jira review"

April 24, 2025

4.0

Pros

Jira is a go to tool for creating tickets and tracking work. I enjoy using it to help organize work for developers to complete.

Cons

Some of the UI functions make it difficult to edit tickets. The interface needs a bit of work to achieve a smoother experience. All in all it is still acceptable.

### " Overall it's a good tool "

August 13, 2025

5.0

Pros

We’ve been using Jira for a while now for managing and planning our projects and we are happy with it. I like Jira a lot, it’s easy to use, lately it turned out to be a valuable asset to increase our productivity, the possibility to customize workflows has been an asset for our company.

Cons

At first with Jira it can seem complicated because of the big number of features it has, there’s too many things to set up when you want to start for more complex workflows

### "Project Management and Collaboration"

December 18, 2025

5.0

Pros

Jira is excellent for complex project management, especially for teams working with board views. With Jira, you can link tasks to projects and also create subtasks, ensuring you never skip something.

Cons

Jira takes long time to master due to its numerous options compared to tools like trello and notion. While these apps allow creating any workflow, Jira restricts you to its options.

### "Strong for tracking bugs but very headache to learn"

January 9, 2026

5.0

If you work in big software team, you need this. But for simple tracking, it is too much complex. Good for organization but makes me tired to use it.

Pros

It is good for tracking model bugs and sprint planning. I can see what tasks are pending for deployment. The Kanban board helps me move tasks from doing to done easily.

Cons

It is very slow to load sometimes. Too many buttons and settings make me confused. Setting up a simple workflow takes too much time. It feels heavy for small projects.

### "Professional, Clear and Developer-focused tool"

June 18, 2025

4.0

It is good for agile workflows. As a developer, I break down my tasks and update the status from time to time.

Pros

Flexibility and customisability. Every story, bug or task can be tracked in granular details with labels and priorities.

Cons

It can be complex sometimes and UI is cluttered. With large projects, performance can be slow, especially in older versions.

### "Agile project and task management tool"

November 2, 2025

5.0

Pros

I like the Ease of Use that makes it simple to navigate, along with the wide Number of Features that support project tracking and reporting. It solves the problem of scattered communication by providing a centralized platform where everyone can see progress, priorities, and deadlines.

Cons

I think that the customer support could be faster in response, and with our high frequency of use, even small dealys can affect productivity.

### "Easy of Use - JIRA"

June 10, 2025

5.0

Pros

I like that it is easy to learn and search. I also like the security features available. i.e. not everyone can access/ edit tickets.

Cons

It is sometimes hard to locate past tickets and tools. Workboards are confusing. There is also no easy way to locate IT related concerns via JIRA itself.

### "Great Project Organization Tool"

March 26, 2026

5.0

Pros

Great for organizing projects and task tracking. Intuitive software that can be used for any size project and any size team.

Cons

For small teams it can be hard to use the software to its full extent. There are a lot of features and managing a built out project in Jira is very time consuming.

### "How i use jira to keep projects organized"

May 5, 2025

Jira, as it turned out, has enhanced the way we monitor our leadership initiatives from planning for the project to releasing it into the wild making it more seamless to hit our targets and deadlines.

Pros

Jira is great for managing all the projects we do internationally. I love using its task tracker function to hold everyone accountable.

Cons

It’s a bit fiddly to get to grips with the set-up to begin with, especially for team members who are new to project management software.

### "Jira Service Desk Management for HR"

November 12, 2024

5.0

Very positive implementing and using Jira Service Desk Management as a Case Management and Queries Inbox solution. Quick implementation and adaptive enough to allow for continuous development and improvements to our workflows. With technical resource within the HR function, little to no IT support was required to build or roll out the platform.

Pros

Jira (Service Desk Management) is incredibly durable and customisable. The system can be designed around internal processes and workflows in order to produce a platform bespoke to requirements. It also integrates very well with a large range of other platforms and services.

Cons

Some of the build and design can be tricky and on occasion due to confusing navigation of the administrative menus and options, especially if your HR function lacks a technical resource or support from IT function.

Alternatives considered

[ServiceNow](https://www.capterra.com/p/254088/ServiceNow/)[Zendesk Suite](https://www.capterra.com/p/164283/Zendesk/)

Reason for choosing Jira

### "Works as Expected"

November 14, 2024

4.0

I have been using Jira for a while and saw it evolve with time. I have also used other tools but haven't got the same experience as with Jira. It's really easy to quickly track work, go back to add more details, and customize the platform for my needs. Overall, I am happy with it.

Pros

The UI is clean and there is a lot of customization options with features like JQL, boards and projects. It's really easy to setup a project, a board, add people, and then customize the swimlanes however the team likes. This is for me a really important feature because even though we all follow agile, not everyone adopts the same principles and methodologies. Teams should be able to adapt the tool to their needs and that's a big step towards success. The reports are also ok, at least for a quick glance at the performance of a certain project (with burndown chart, velocity, etc.). I've also used the API for some automated actions, it works as expected for me.

Cons

Bulk actions are quite hard to do. There are some easy actions (like moving a group of issues to a sprint) but if we try to do something more complex like closing a group of tasks as Done with a certain sub-status (ex. Cancelled, Won't Do, etc.) it's not easy for me at all. Finally, the pricing seems a bit high for smaller teams and starting companies.

### "Very powerful too for issue tracking and management in general."

May 26, 2019

5.0

Pros

Very powerful and flexible. Quite easy to use, too. Sophisticated on what can do, and yet simple to users.

Cons

It is paid, and can be quite expensive. Some people feel it can be too complicated in its flexibility. May turn things too bureaucratic if not used with talent.

### "Great Ticket management tool ?"

December 2, 2024

4.0

In one word, Its a necessary evil :) Great tool for progressing through the ticket and flexibility it provides, but average user will be lost in it.

Pros

One of the best ticket management applications. Ease of setting up plugins Large number of extension features

Cons

Searchability sucks. High dependency on project setup and structure of the fields. JQL has become so complex .. only power users can use it. Once the project is over and due to the fluidity of jira structure. Its impossible to get all the information in a consolidated manner. It is as good as the people who are managing it. Tool should be able to provide information the absence of processes but its other way around with JIRA .. Use AI.

### "JIRA review."

November 25, 2024

5.0

I have been using JIRA for over 10 years and I much prefer to use their system over Salesforce just for the simplicity alone.

Pros

It is very easy to track my work tickets, collaborate with colleagues, and link to other Epic tickets or other related JIRA to keep track of all events for a specific issue and who is involved.

Cons

The only issues I have had with JIRAs in over 10 years of use is only when there is an issue with access to the JIRA environment.

### "My agile development companion."

December 26, 2024

5.0

It allows us to add structure to our projects of software development (Jira itself is the tool for such work), as well as maintain their transparency. It has enhanced communication, encouraged collaboration, and assisted us in delivering quality software with more effectiveness.

Pros

Jira is an essential part of our agile development team. I love flexibility of customizing workflows, bug tracking, sprint and generating intuitive reports. With the functionality to integrate with different development tools and the powerful API that we could use, we can push this Jira service exactly where we need and speed up our development process.

Cons

Jira has a robust suite of features to support developers, project managers, and testers, but the interface can feel overwhelming for new users and there is a steep learning curve for some of the more advanced functions.

### "Complex but essential tool for development"

April 14, 2025

5.0

Overall this is a great tool for managing development. It does take a lot of resources to set up and then maintain. It could definitely be simplified.

Pros

Keeps track of all development work and bug reports, which are then categorised across different boards and function.

Cons

The search function does not work that well all the time. I find it easy to lose tickets lose overview of all the issues I'm working on.

### "Overseeing tasks"

April 21, 2025

verall, my experience with Jira has been positive. It's a powerful tool that simplifies work and project management, including task assignment to team members

Pros

Leveraging Jira's flexible and tailor-made task management capabilities, you can assign responsibilities, observe progress, and trace task specifics. Collaborative efforts are also supported via Kanban boards and sprint management. Be advised, however, that it has a learning curve and necessitates instruction

Cons

The number of software integrations is not extensive. Moreover, the error notifications can occasionally feel a bit intrusive

### "Perfect tool for managing your IT needs "

November 5, 2024

5.0

Having worked with Jira for 10 years, I appreciate its powerful capabilities for project management and tracking. Its flexibility and extensive customization have made it invaluable, especially in complex projects.

Pros

I like most about Jira is its robust functionality for tracking tasks and managing projects, especially within Agile teams. The ability to create customizable workflows, track progress on Kanban or Scrum boards, and organize tasks with detailed labels, filters, and priorities makes it incredibly versatile.

Cons

I like least about Jira is that it can be quite complex and overwhelming, especially for new users. The interface has a steep learning curve, and navigating between different boards, projects, and settings can feel cumbersome. Customization options are powerful but can lead to confusion if not configured carefully. Additionally, Jira can sometimes feel slow or laggy with larger projects, impacting overall productivity.
