Overall I love it, it just works when you're working with a large teams. Latency is okay once you've gotten used to it.

Pros

Simplicities, templating, the ease of use / to deploy a new board & permission system is a breeze.

Cons

The time it takes to load the website on an unstable connection, it takes way longer than necessary since the UI is pretty bloated

This software is compatible with many platforms like windows and unix , used for filing the bugs fir tracking purposes

### "Abysmal quality for sky high price"

We chose the data center product after the server product was discontinued because our users were familiar with it and did not want to move to something new. From the first install, it was a nightmare. Other products - if you want to move from one server to another, you just back up on the old server and restore on the new one. With Jira - we had to buy a plug in to import and export it all. That's where we started to see the data integrity issues. The plug in knew to check where dependencies were missing, but Jira never flagged any problems when something was changed that broke a dependency. I can't even begin to describe the endless stream of issues we've been facing for months. Atlassian is after your money, not your satisfaction with their product.

Pros

It supports two-factor authentication now.

Cons

This company ignores every software development best practice. Unresolved bug and feature requests on their support site are often more than a decade old. They rely on plug-in developers to make broken things work, and the plug-ins generally come with a ridiculously high price tag. No admin tasks, from the simplest data validation to proper relationships between Assets objects, can be accomplished without work-arounds. And the workarounds generally break other things. Data integrity is a joke in Jira and JSM, especially in Assets. If you want your data to be clean and accurate, be prepared to learn a lot of code.

In every place I've worked, Jira has been the go-to tool, so I’m really familiar with how it works and how useful it is. It’s great for keeping everyone on the same page, especially when there are multiple teams working together. Whether it’s sprint planning, tracking bugs, or managing ongoing projects, Jira makes it easy to stay organized and keep things moving smoothly. It’s reliable, and I’ve always found it helpful for managing projects effectively.

Pros

My entire company works on Jira wrt any issues , bug, improvement or sprinting new developments. All companies i have worked with uses Jira so there is no question about its capability.

Cons

I wish it can also be used like regular support tickets or one module of it like Zendesk

I am having a great work with this software, it is literally very integrated and it really delivers what it promises. The overall control of work, the plan of organization of each one of them and also the IA work which makes it even more efficient.

Pros

Jira is a interesting software for organization, scheduling and control of work. I am only in the beginning but I am enjoying more then other software.

Cons

No problems so far, it gives more then promises.

With Jira, our team has been able to enhance handling with the sprint tracking and issue escalation. I have a good sense of progress from the reporting tools and the ticket dependencies prevent miscommunication.

Cons

Sometimes moving or updating multiple tickets takes longer than you would expect it to take and sometimes there are some delays when applying filters.

Cons

The interdependency of tasks sometimes halts unpredictably leading to incorrect due dates. I have experienced cases where parent-tasks lose subtasks.

Jira is an excellent all-around project management / work-tracking tool. Rather than being a bug tracking application, it allows to plan, execute, and monitor the whole lifecycles. Working with it for over 12 years, I've seen it grow in many features and capabilities that facilitate team work.

Pros

\* Easy to learn and use. \* Powerful, flexible, and useful features for managing work and projects. \* Has many templates for managing work via Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall, etc. \* Timeline, backlog, and board features are super helpful for communication, collaboration, and coordination of work. \* Plenty of capabilities for integrations and add-ons for enhanced / additional functionality.

Cons

Jira in itself is sufficient for most things and while add-ons could increase features and potentially productivity, they can be expensive depending on the number of users. Capabilities and limitation differences between team-managed and company-managed projects can be confusing. The former is a simplified setup that facilitates system administration by giving teams autonomy, but it can be frustrating to manage and work with its limitations.

Jira is a great project management tool that we will keep using in the foreseeable future. It has, however, a growing number of shortcomings that, if not addressed, will lead to a migration to Linear.

Pros

\- Great set of functionalities. - Great automation. - Fantastic integration with other tools.

Cons

\- Team-managed and company-managed are an unnecessary distinction that create a lot of overhead and annoyance on the project management process. - Team-managed projects have functionalities that are not present in company-managed projects and vice-versa. - Lackluster documentation.
