I also like that "everything is an issue" setup. Pros Jira is the perfect project management tool for me. It has very much customization options for projects to perfectly match what I want to achieve. I like the different project types and the templates, they are useful to just get started. It also integrates perfectly in Confluence and other Atlassian products. Cons The Web interface is a bit slow, especially when navigation much through different tasks. Although the mobile app is super clean, there are some missing features overall. Pros I really like the entire Atlassian suite; it makes me wish I wasn't the only person on my team! I like that Jira offers a number of different views to organize information regarding whichever project or team you are working on. The timeline feature is very helpful for visualizing progress and goals. Finally, the automation feature appears very helpful for executing repetitive business/team functions Cons I was not a big fan of being the only user on any Atlassian product; they are definitely built for teams. Prioritising is the biggest thing for me and our team and Jira helps with that a lot. The product is also startup friendly when it comes to the pricing/subscriptions. Pros Jira, as a part of other Atlassian products, has been improved a lot in the last year. When we started with Jira, we were only using it for development task tracking, nowadays we are using it, along with Confluence and Bitbucket, as the backbone of our technical records. Jira takes time to get to know to, but they are improving the UI towards more user friendly way. I have not yet found any possible alternatives for the overall capabilities of Jira. Cons Some part of settings and some more advanced options in Jira are still a bit hard to reach. But you just need to use the docs and search for help from the internet when you feel like you are stuck.
