Engineering relies heavily on Jira, as well as support. Pros The search capabilities are amazing, I can easily find tickets from a wide variety of departments. They have very nice permission settings for different user groups. The organization and tracking within Jira are some of the best in the business. I also feel that for cross departmental work, there is not a better tool in the marketplace. There is a reason almost every software company uses Jira. Cons There are not a lot of cons with Jira. I will say that Enhancements or product development are not very often. I have also tried to use Jira as a customer facing projcet tracking tool and it was not possible. Review Source Kishan Y. September 24, 2024 5.0 On my own, I like Jira extensive issue tracking system. It lets me write thorough tickets that catch everything and hold my team accountable. I have not encountered many options with the ability to adapt processes to our project. Pros Jira stands out because it can be customized to almost any project management methodology. This has greatly helped my team's particular process needs. These are better than most reporting solutions I've used. I schedule sprints using their more detailed project statuses, velocity charts, and burn down metrics. We were a great team without a great product for collaboration and assigning work and follow work progress and other activities. With Jira, all these have been simplified and we can now collaborate remotely. Work on projects, make transparent decisions that are informed and manage the tasks and progress of every activity. Pros Jira has extensive features for customization, Can easily be integrated with existing systems and boosts collaboration and automation of tasks. I like it's clear visualization with Kanban and Scrum boards bringing transparency in decision making. It also scalable. Si possono taggare i ticket, distribuire i lavori a diverse persone, monitorare l'andamento, creare dei modelli... Insomma, un utilizzo pro. Cons Non è semplicissimo configurarlo, nè inizialmente nè in seguito se si vogliono cambiare delle cose. La app poi non è particolarmente usabile. Jira also sent out emails for updates on tickets. Cons Sometimes it was a bit tricky to find different tickets from other users and you would have to ask that user directly.
